I remember watching Ray fight he was very exciting back in the day. Wow doesn't seem like it was that long ago my how time flies. Thanks again Rich for another great fighter. I'm loven it
Ray is a really good dude.....I know him....met him in Santa Monica Ca ...had lunch a few times with him.....He is one of those guys that you just can't help but like...a good dude indeed!
Manuel was a top draw here in SOCAL and Tijuana, absolutely a strong and determined puncher, two nice wins were vs NJ state champion Gerald Hayes and (Danny Lopez post title victim) Jose Olivares, neither slouches. Excellent opponent for come backing Boom Boom.
What a skilled , tenacious and strong fighter Ray was , would love to see him against the fighters of today , the likes of Tank Davis or Issac Cruz , what or war.
I liked Mancini. I thought Macho Camacho was gifted a decision for running n posing. Its a shame we never got Mancini vs McGuigan, they were talking about it at one point around the time McGuigan was making a comeback at Super Featherweight but by then Mancini was at Light Welterweight Mancini vs Chavez woulda been great too. Mancini vs Pazienza woulda been pretty hectic as well. Ray is a BJJ blackbelt, maybe he will fight Mike Tyson in a cage ?
RAY BOOM BOOM MANCINI ONE OF THE BEST FIGHTERS OF ALL TIME WHO WAS DISCRIMINATED AND WRONGLY TREATED AND GOT ALL HIS OPPERTUNITIES ROBBED BECAUSE HE KILLED A WRECKLESS KOREAN IN THE BOXING RING.
The networks would travel a million miles to find someone for him to fight. And we would be in a war against fighters that had decent records against other unheard of fighters
It's interesting that Abedoy's record was displayed on the broadcast as 22-4-1. Makes you wonder how often we were deceived like that. Still, that era of boxing was the best era in my lifetime by miles.
Mr Mancini is a legend and still active working with the Ohio Athletic Commission. Such a humble and knowledgable guy. Great to see him in action.

A good one rich never been a big boom boom fan thought he was a better actor than a fighter.
Actually, yeah, Mancini is a pretty good actor in one of the movies I've seen him in.

Boom Boom
The most protected fighter during the 80’s.
Pernell Whitaker.

Yeah, it was an era before boxrec...but like you said, still the best.
Great video Rich 👍😁
A good fighter, just a little unfortunated...
