So, I've had bangs for about a month and a half now. I have found some disadvantages, and advantages that come along with them:
Disadvantages:
~ They can get greasy very quick; you need to wash your bangs consistently.
~ They can cause forehead acne; if you do decide to get bangs, make sure you wash your entire face thoroughly with a good acne cleanser !
~ When it's either windy, or you're running, your bangs can get messed up/misplaced (you can literally just run your fingers through them to fix it).
~ [*depending on you're hair type*]They do grow rather quickly, so you need to trim them a bit sometimes.
Advantages:
~ Very, very easy to style
~ Aesthetically pleasing
~ Easy to handle [if you're mature about it]
~ You're able to hide them - if wanted
~ You don't have to deal with frizziness or dead ends.

~ They're fun to play with
~ Excuse to buy cute hair clips

Tips:
1. Get face framers [this makes the bangs look better when your hair is up] - [ JUST a recommendation - not needed]
2. If you don't already own dry shampoo, I recommend you do so [JUST a recommendation - not needed]
3. Again, if you don't own either a straightener (to style bangs) or heat protectant spray, I highly recommend you do that to [JUST a recommendation - not needed]
4. Just be confident about them, if you are they'll look good on you no matter what!
Aside from all of that, I do think you'll look very good with bangs. Especially because of your face shape, hair color, and now the length. I personally believe there is no reason to be cautious or hesitant ! Oh, and I really like the new hair ;))

@Leah R. Well I guess it does depend. I haven't dealt with frizziness myself. I feel like dry shampoo, and conditioner probably helps a lot though !

I loved having bangs. They literally make every hair style so cute/trendy.
Just cut off five inches from my hair. Always had long hair. I think it’s adorbs but I for sure miss my hair. Now I’m letting it grow out. Taking better care of it, and being totally natural!!

You should definitely get bangs, it would suit u soo good and one out of few good things about is : if you have kinda greasy hair and you’re in a rush, you can only wash the bangs (which you do everyday anyway) and it looks good/ better

Alright, here are the pros and cons on having bangs
Pros:
•It will make you look younger/youthful
•if you have a bigger forhead, it will cover it up
Cons
•you have to maintain it (since you have wavy hair) you have to straighten it and also cutting it
•it may cause acne if your hair gets oily

@@CourtneyMarmo if you do decide to cut bangs, I suggest you do "see through bangs" ( just UA-cam it) I personally think is more forgiving and not as harsh. Since you only cut your hair in one layer the bangs will give it that nice touch. Good luck :)
Bangs shouldn't be discouraged from curlies/wavies some curl types look really cute with bangs.

I used to cut my hair every 3-4 months then I was like WHY???? my hair did not have split end and the hairdresser where legit cutting like 3 inches of every time I went. I have not been in 6 months and my hair dose not have split end and I am so happy it is getting really long now!! my goals this year is to have my hair by my ribcage, right now is it 4 inches past my shoulder (getting there! :D)

Don't get bangs. I have curly short hair (like below my ears) and bangs and I always end up pushing them to a side and they blend with the rest of my hair (I don't straighten them lol too much work) THEY'RE UNBEARABLE.

you should definitely get bangs!! I've had them for a while and honestly the only real downside is that they do get dirtier faster than the rest of your hair but that's easily fixed with a spritz of dry shampoo
pros:
instant style upgrade! if you can rock bangs it pretty much instantly makes you look cooler, just because they're a somewhat controversial hair style.
easy to style; once you have the hair 'trained' to grow down (can easily do by combing it while wet) they pretty much take care of themselves and if they look f'd up one day just use a straightener on them
look more polished with pretty much any hair style.

Ashley Jacobs my hair is waist length it took me 5 years. I cut curl by curl with a good pair of scissors (when needed) Also helps to massage your scalp every night. I use hair oil just a few drop each night.
