My daughter literally does this about once year. She decides she needs a haircut and instead of waiting she ends up hacking it off in the bathroom in the middle of the night. Then she has a mental breakdown, then I spend hours trying to help her fix it and I literally feel like the whole world is riding on my haircutting skills which are very limited. I usually end up taking her to a stylist to fix it afterwards and I always, always, end up hearing her swear she'll just wait to have it done professionally next time but she NEVER does. I feel for your mom because I know the feeling of seeing my daughter walk out of the bathroom crying every single time.
