Girl you can't run away from your natural hair texture
Like honestly, I have the exact same looking hair as her - it's wavy. I find it weird she thinks that's not her natural hair texture.
She probably had hormonal changes (hasn't mentioned) and that's why her hair became different than she used to it.
I mean, in my case, for a baby I had curly hair, then for 18 years, I had no heavy waves at all. At the age of 23, when I noticed some hormonal changes, I started to develop glamorous curls. Still trying to get used to it. :)
Yeah
She literally explained in the video that her hair has never been like that before so obviously something has changed.
@@fantagegirl255 it can happen with just getting older. I didnt even get my full thick irish hair till i grew it past my waist lol....she just wants hair she doesnt have....
Girl, listen. I went through EXACTLY the same thing as you. Tried every single thing you did to get my hair back (it used to be super pretty and it suddenly got just as troublesome as yours for literally no reason). None of them worked. The only thing that finally worked was seeing a TRICHOLOGIST! A trichologist is a hair specialist, like a hair doctor. They’re not hairdressers (who know nothing about hair quality, just aesthetics). They’re like dermatologists, but they focus on hair and making sure it grows well from the roots going down. They give you specialized products, look at your hair every couple weeks to see how it’s going, massage your hair, give it red light treatments and stuff like that, all based on science. I HIGHLY recommend you go see a trichologist. They’re pretty much the only professionals who actually know about hair, because most people just focus on short term aesthetics instead of the health of the follicules. I swear my hair was just like yours and even though it still isn’t perfect, it is SO SO much better than it used to be. I really know how frustrating it is to try everything and still not get the results you want when so many people don’t even do anything and have gorgeous hair anyway. I used to cry out of frustration and now I don’t even think about it much. I really hope you see this! Sending you lots of love
Underrated comment!! What kinds of things did the trichologist have you do that helped you in particular??
@@dolcepescas6153 The main thing was just going to the appointments and using products that were specifically formulated for my hair (products that my trichologist made himself for his clients). In the beginning the appointments were once every couple of weeks and then once every couple of months as my hair got better. He would start by evaluating my hair to check the consistency of the fibers, how it was growing, how oily the skin was, etc. Then he would clean the hair, apply specialized lotions, massage the scalp and finish by applying an overhead red light for better absorption of the actives.
After the session, he would prescribe certain products for continued daily use (typically a shampoo, conditioner, lotion and heat protectant). He would also instruct me on the proper way to use each one of them. For example, my skin was quite oily at the time, so I had to shower every day and use the shampoo twice in a row and just on the scalp (it was a very gentle sulfate-free shampoo). Then I had to apply conditioner to the rest of the hair, excluding the scalp. After the shower, I had to apply the heat protectant. I want to clarify: I never use heat on my hair. The heat protectant was meant for frizz control and sun protection. It was like a sunscreen (who knew you also had to apply sunscreen to your hair! The sun damages your hair, just as it does with the skin), so it worked as a layer of protection between the hair fibers and the external environment. Finally, before going to bed I had to apply the lotion, just on my scalp (I think it worked as some sort of exfoliant for the skin underneath the hair and promoted healthy hair growth).
He was also very adamant in not doing anything that would damage my hair. So no restrictive hairstyles that pull too much on the scalp, letting the hair dry naturally without rubbing it with harsh towels, using a silk pillow case to reduce the friction with the pillow while sleeping, not using any sort of heat or products meant for styling, which typically include ingredients that damage the hair in the long run. If I was ever going to style it, use heat, be out in the sun or get into a pool, I had to apply the heat protectant first.
I also started taking some supplements that he recommended for my hair, such as a multivitamin that included biotin, iron, zinc, inositol, vitamin B2 and B6, alpha lipoic acid, L-Cystine, L-Methionine and L-Lysine. He also recommended nutritional yeast and bee pollen or royal jelly (but I wasn't as consistent with these ones in comparison to the multivitamin). He would also emphasize the importance of having a healthy diet and exercising regularly.
Obviously, all of this would depend on your type of hair and your specific problems (how thin or thick your hair is, how oily or dry, if you have dandruff or not, if you experience hair loss, etc). That's why it's important to go to a professional, so they can prescribe the products you actually need (for example, a friend of mine also started going to my trichologist, and some of the products she uses are different because her hair is different from mine).
Hope it helps!
I am going through the exact same thing, but I don't want to go for a big chop. How much did the trichologist cost? Because I might start to talk to one and get this birds nest sorted!
When your hair gets thinner, there can be an iodine deficiency or ferritin level is not high enough.
Ferritin should be over 70.
Oral contraceptive pill can cause iodine deficiency. This was what happened to me, now after 10 years with thinner hair, my hair grows thicker again

Stop dreaming about the hair that you are not born with, you will end up frustrated and hate your hair even more. Instead try to accept that you have textured hair. :)

she doesn’t have frizz because she has curly hair, its frizzy because she has naturally thin hair. her hair grows straight, it’s literally straight. she doesn’t use flat irons she just has naturally thin hair that causes frizziness.

Their is a long hair community, no extensions, completely natural. These girls have hair down to the thighs that is completely their own length. I myself have hip length hair, no extensions. It's not possible for everyone tho and that's okay! Her hair looks beautiful short and in so glad she came to a decision to prioritise her mental health.
Weave snatched
It's also because her hair is no where near as thick as the photos she was posting from insta....
@@jamieh2484 yes! You gotta embrace your natural hair texture and thickness. Literally all hair types are gorgeous when taken care off no matter then length, I think she needs to embrace she has naturally wavy hair or accept the fact she will need to flat iron it or blow it out often to style it the way she wants. Also accepting that her hair is about average thickness and alot of insta hair models have above average thickness, it may never look the way she pictures it in her head without heat styling and extensions but it can be just as stunning if she embraces it for what it is. IMO when she tried the curly girl method it looked the best and maybe sticking to it throughout her long hair journey would be best for her. There are so many options for her to take here but the most important thing is that she learns to love herself and her hair.
We have the same dilemma. We did almost similar things for years.
We have the same dream.
But I'm in my 50s now and it just became thinner and thinner while I'm premenopausal. In addition, it's turning grey. I had thicker hair when I was young. Now I know it's time to embrace what I have as I age more. As I go through life and seeing some loved ones had cancer and losing their hair, I started becoming satisfied for what I have. Now I'm happy that I just have hair and hair length at my age. I still try my best to maintain my somewhat still longer hair. Thanks for your vlog... nice knowing that I'm not alone. I didn't know about the hairtype 2B 2C. Now I need to research on that :). Thanks again and goodluck!
watching this video really made me realize how I take my own hair for granted, I have long thick hair that grows really fast just over the course of a couple months and my hair is just naturally oily too. I never really though about how much effort people put into trying to make their hair look like that and how lucky I am. I would always complain about how my hair would be really tangled because of how thick it is or how frizzy it would be because it was thick, when after learning how to just come and straighten my hair I don't complain about it anymore because my hair is just the way it is and I like it.
Everyone is ungrateful for a lotta things like that

My advice: no treatments. The most natural, the better. Hair care treatments could have a rebound effect that make your hair get worse. Use no heat, no oils, no keratin... Just let your hair grow naturally and it will look healthier.

Slightly true but oiling ur ends can really help with you're length
i completely understand this situation!! I have a friend (lets call her Layla) that had straight, shiny medium textured hair. Laylas hair used to grow quickly, and she hated taking extra time in the shower for her hair, so she started cutting it every month for a year. However, after that year, her hair became really, really fine, dry and damaged. You could even see her back through her hair (kinda like your situation). And it stayed like this for about three years, until she stopped cutting her hair every month. That changed her hair completely. It went wavy first, then it started getting thicker and thicker, and now its beautiful, thick, wavy and long hair. It looks almost exactly like that long hair image you showed us, except with a little more waves.
What layla did was to stop cutting her hair for three years, and only do hair massages and put oils on her ends for three years, along with using olaplex and some other brands of shampoos. And today, she just had a trim off her hair and she cut 1 cm off, and so far, it still looks really healthy. So i hope this helps!

Stara Oftmo NEVER wash hair daily, wait at least 3-4 days before washing again.
I have waist length hair and it’s in quite a good condition, the ends can be dry but it’s generally healthy. I wash it every two days with just whatever I have, and straighten it everyday. I just let it get on with it
I'm a guy growing my hair out, it's been 2 years, ive discovered how curly my hair actually is and have also been struggling with wanting straighter and less frizzy hair. I can get it to dry straight wavy but as we all know, leaving it down and any humidity will frizz and puff it up.
It's mostly the ends though, so my compromise is now to dry it straight BUT allow the ends to curl , and keep them wet/moist. Humidity can't undo them then.
I just have to accept that incorporating curls reduces my overall length until I grow it longer. Basically takes away 4 inches, that's 8 months!
What you've shown is that for some waist length starts to become a natural length limit, without trims or cuts or with it, out hair naturally sheds at a certain max length.
I suppose Il try to see how my hair looks at waist length at most. For men I think arm pit length makes the most sense, curly hair would probably have to be grown to waist length to be that.

Hi I’m a hairstylist and I want to break down everything you’re doing wrong. For starters you have unrealistic standards for your type of hair. Without using a flat iron your hair isn’t going to be straight with no frizz it’s just not possible. Your hair is thin and frizzy and will always be that way naturally. White women generally do not have pin straight smooth hair that type of hair gene is most prominent with asian people, their strands are thicker and heavier individually and they have more hair as where your individual strands of hair are thin and fine. The reason why your hair got more and more shitty was because of that keratin treatment, and the products you were using. Too much of a good thing is not a good thing. No hairstylist should have ever done a keratin treatment on your hair, those are only supposed to be used for people who have lost their keratin. For example, people who have extremely bleached hair, people who have gotten perms and people who have done massive amounts of heat damage are going to be the only candidates for a keratin treatment. Otherwise doing the treatment without any reason to other than to tame frizz or straighten will over keratinize and put too much protein in your hair leading to all this damage and breakage you’re seeing. KERATIN TREATMENTS ARE NOT MEANT TO BE USED AS A PERMANENT STRAIGHTENING METHOD. I can’t stress that enough to people. It’s meant to help rebuild extremely damaged and fragile hair temporarily. The only reason it straightens hair is because it’s weighed down by protein. Otherwise doing this treatment on hair that doesn’t need it will cause breakage and damage and do the opposite of what you want. Also stop using these heavy creams and expensive products, use something like an oil based hair shampoo or a shine shampoo and conditioner and you will be much better off than something with keratin or protein in it. Also stop with all the keratin products that you used for after the treatment if you’re still using them they will not help you. Also, products that say something along the lines of it “repairs damage” you don’t have damage you’re causing it by using too much of what your hair doesn’t need. Use a PH bonder a hair serum or light oil only, and it will help a whole lot with frizz. Less is more. Another thing is you can get a filter for your shower head, the more calcium that’s in the water you use to wash your hair the more frizz you will have. With all this stuff you’re doing to your hair I also recommend using a clarifying shampoo once a month because I’m seeing a whole lot of product buildup on your hair. Also because you do have 2b hair, brushing is dry produces more frizz, just use a wet brush and get over your fear of brushing it wet please. It really doesn’t cause that much damage at all. Replace what you’re doing with simpler and less intense methods and your hair will be much better off.

Hi, i'm 13 years old and I have 80cm long hair. Today I went to a hairdresser and I wanted to get a keratin treatment but the guy refused, he said it's chemical and not good for me. So my mom bought a keratin treatment to do it by yourself. Actually I wanted to straighten my hair. But it's also dry and frizzy, so can I do it?
Or are those keratin treatments from the store shit?
Have a nice day ( also, sorry for my bad english, i'm from germany :/)
@@dilichan682 dont do it yourself always get it done by a professional and if they said no then believe them!!!
You are an excellent storyteller! I hope you are able to use your storytelling abilities to encourage others.
I have the opposite problem of you - long-time curly hair that is suddenly going striaght! I am so sad! I miss my waves.
Hair is a way to feel beautiful and encouraged. (I love to heat-curl mine.) At the same time, you are so much more than your hair! True friends and healthy significant others will love you for more than your looks, and I hope you find people who make you feel confident no matter if you are having a good or bad hair day! (My husband often surprises me by telling me he likes my hair on the days that I am HATING it. And this is after my hair went from wavy to straight. He was an amazing man to find, and worth waiting for!)
A tough but honest disclaimer: Social media is not real life!
@kenzie. jade yeah obviously
Just because you guys think her hair isn’t that bad and that she’s just being whiny, everyone has different insecurities. If hers is her hair then let her be. Don’t degrade her insecurity because you aren’t her.
I feel like it's because this video didn't really give out any solutions to people sharing her problem and was rather just her moping about her hair not being something it's not. Nothing wrong with feeling insecure but I kinda wish I got the minutes I took to watch this video back.
I have 4b/4c hair and I understand her struggles but just times it by 5. I get this is her insecurity but I'm just jealous because people wouldn't realize her bad hair days as much they'd criticize me for how my hair naturally grows. But honestly I hope she achieves her goal. My goal is also waist length :)
Little Sade
Girl! You can do it! I have the same type of hair, and it’s waist length (naturally not permed or heat) just do your best!

Funny thing is, the exact same thing happened to me. I’m currently 13 “but when I was 11, ever since then I always believed that I had really damaged straight hair or was born unlucky “or failed to some how take care of my hair for it always looked like yours in the video, in till later I discovered hair types and that changed my hair for the better, I think my hair is pretty rare, I have multiple hair types in my hair being 2b, 2c and 3a in some sections. Guys this is a real problem, seeing how I’m not the only person that experienced this, there are probably many people in the world right now hating there hair “thinking its damaged and un repairable, but in reality they have wavy or curly hair. I am lucky that I have discovered my hair type, theres probably people out there that haven’t discovered there hair type in many years, despite being adults, its truly frustrating the lack knowledge of something as simple as hair still, now. I feel like all is changing is the world, not the people. -_-
i feel like this video is a lesson in how the internet and especially the beauty community warp our perception on what is achievable, and how someone can go to great lengths to achieve something that is impossible to do with her hair naturally. even then she resorted to a treatment that damaged her hair beyond repair and resulted in her being far more unhappy with the result after the initial honeymoon period. as other commenters have said, she just doesnt have thick hair, but theres also the idea that "natural" is somehow better or more authentic than extensions or wigs.
its a hard pill to swallow when youre constantly comparing yourself to other people you look up to, so you should occasionally step back and question what the goal youre trying to achieve is out of reach and will stay that way

This was a very good video! The first I've seen from you. I've had a very similar hair journey, but still very straight hair. I'm curious to see how your journey goes. Good luck! You're definitely putting in the effort! You can't reap what you don't sow. Well done on keeping track & your editing too! 👍

I lost all my hair once from a bad relaxer which is a straightening treatment it took about two years to fully grow it back so I get it that its not just hair. I loved your video. But honestly I must say your "Cher" haircut is lovely on you and so healthy. You look just as pretty if not even better with the shorter hair :) You look fabulous

Hello, I'm Hootle :D There isn’t any grammar and a lot of it’s spelt wrong, so it’s really hard to understand.
@@memesandstuffso Hootle said that there is definitely some texture going on in her hair and that it looks good when its shorter.. and the good old "no hate, just explaining" thing too. There u go

I'm only about 5 minutes in but I'm feeling this. my hair has started to go wavy when it never has before, its super frizzy (which has always been true but it feels different) I've also always had long hair, i don't use heat, but i also don't really cut my hair or take good care of it. I'm starting to try to so interested to watch the rest of this!
i have REALLY similar texture to you- it has wavy kinks and breakage in the back, somewhat thin, and frizz. my saviour has been heatless curls, coconut oil, wild growth hair oil, wigs, heat once a week, and only using scrunchies. it’s actually growing in quite well, but i had many mental breakdowns in the process. adding a little bit of pure coconut oil to the ends and scalp before bed makes it grow in so well!! best of luck!!!
i’ve found that my true damage came from forcing my hair to be straight (my hair curls SO easy, like… i put it in a bun and it looks like shirley temple) maybe it’s the same for you!! wear a straight hair wig!!!
The voiceover sounds like something from a storybooth animated story time

EXACTLY WHAT I THOUGHT
I’m suprised no one mentioned this. The Instagram girls she’s comparing her hair too are most likely wearing loads of hair extensions in order to achieve the “voluminous” look. Like there are very, very few woman who have natural hair like that . If she wants to get that hair she either needs a weave or invest in some good quality extensions. Just saying!
it's a shame that many young women are so influenced by what they see on Instagram, I feel that this girl took her obsession to a stressful point, and it was reflected in the health of her hair
I do have naturally really thick and glossy hair but I don’t like myself with long hair(idk I like to be different I guess) I don’t need it and now I kinda feel selfish to just let that go to waste... I’m happy I could at least donate a bit of my useful hair to think pink.
Hnemy Sui sooo true. It’s sad that girls are complaining their hair to such unrealistic things ! I’m blonde and I have thinner hair but I do so much upkeep
Lol. Google the HolisticHabits girl from UA-cam. You'll see real hair goals.
I have naturally straight and thick hair and I hated it so much, 4 years ago it was very poofy and frizzy (and it was medium length) and I absolutely hated it. I let my bangs and hair grow very long and got a straight perm. By 2018 it was very straight, long, thick, and *annoyingly heavy* so I chopped it to my shoulder. Now my hair is perfectly healthy and currently growing them out.
I'm over my obsession with long hair. I look way better with short hair, it makes me look more lively and fresh.
1) It could be the water. Hard water can really ruin your hair. You mentioned washing hair at home after the salon and it was back to being matted and dry. You need a shower filter with a water softener.
2) Also, it looks like your hair needs more protein - something more professional like a K18 mask would work.
3) Could soy milk be messing with your hormones? I’d consider eating more natural. Plant milks are not natural human foods. If you want to have healthy hair, you need to eat a lot more protein than you do. More meat like chicken and red meat and dairy like Greek yogurt.
4) A good professional shampoo. Not John Frieda. Something like Pureology or Kerastase or Oribe, plus a clarifying shampoo once a week. You need to clarify if you have hard water.
5) Silk bonnet is the best kept secret for perfect morning hair!
6) Your natural hair texture is not exactly straight. Your hair is very fine too. To get that glossy straight hair with weighted texture you would have to blow it out with hair products after washing when it’s 80% dry. You can’t just air dry it.
YOU 👏🏼DON’T 👏🏼HAVE👏🏼 STRAIGHT👏🏼 HAIR.... I don’t care if you don’t “want” it you’ve got it. Start looking into methods to treat slightly wavy/curly hair and you’ll actually start seeing results.
karen exactly! as we grow our hair color and texture changes. She needs to learn to except it. She’s doing more damage then good trying to hold on to a hair type she no longer has. She’s fighting a losing battle.

The more you treat your wavy hair like it’s straight the more it will get frizzy and unmanageable.
It took me 2 years and a pandemic to grow my hair 20inchs to butt length, I do cut my hair myself since the covid thing its been working better than going to the salon. I am really sorry that you are through this struggle with your hair. I think that you are doing the right things to keep this in check. I have dark brown hair but I think we have the same hair type. My issue is that my hair falls out alot and the longer it gets the more it falls out. I started using henna on my as a mask and its been a the best move I made. Its doesnt fall out as much and my hair looks shiny and healthier too. I think you have curly proverbs in the UK that supplies henna products. Love your video and I will be watching and learning more from you. 🥰

For all my life I had long hair and I wouldn't cut it for the longest time. Like her I thought long hair was the only thing that made me pretty. My hair length was around 28 Inches. Finally when I was 13 I did the big chop. Honestly the best decision for my hair. I'm 15 now and my hair looks way more healthy than before.

Btw you’re hair will never look perfectly straight, YOU HAVE WAVY HAIR, embrace yourself before you’re bald
My thoughts exactly. I had straight hair when I was a toddler, but now it's getting wavier, and I love it! I find straight hair kinds boring (no offence), and I enjoyed having some natural texture. My hair is in a permanent state of frizz because I hadn't taken good care of it (I have the curliest hair in my family), so I got a pixie. I still use shampoo with sulfates and parabens n stuff (I'm sorry hair gods, I have sinned), but I'm taking better care it of. I want tobge natural products, I'm considering bloucleme, but most of them are about curl definition, but my hair gets worse when using these products. So, idk, I'll figure it out, I guess. 🤷
@@kirin1230 I used to have curly hair when I was little but now it's totally straight i wonder why the hair type changes when you grow up
@@banan9247 I think it involves hormones changing with age. A person's hair colour and texture often change over time. I like knowing my hair is everchanging. It adds another layer of unpredictability to life.
Currently, the hair follicles on the top half of my head are wavy, and the bottom half is dead straight. Not the individual strands are half curly half straight. Half of my head is curly and half it straight. It looks dumb, like I did a terrible job at curling or straightening. But I love it, it's unique. Hope you like your hair, not matter what it is.
@@kirin1230 oh thanks for explaining also I think that your hair sounds cute
@@banan9247 Thanks. 😊 No problem, have a nice day.
i love this! it‘s also always been my dream to have thick waist length hair, and even though my hair is long my ends are dry but i would call them thick for the most part. i still wish they were thicker tho, especially the front hair. i also use deep conditioners, hair serums, leave ins… everything and yet my hair is still dry after showering. 1-2 days after washing my hair becomes soft, but right after showering it‘s dry and it irritates me. i feel you girl. one day we‘ll achieve our hair goal 🫶🏻
This is an incredible journey!!! I’ve actually had a 2 year journey for caring of my curly hair. It’s even pretty hard to maintain it and keep it from frizz but I think I’m getting there. The biggest problem I face is keeping the curls in my hair. Whenever I wake up, one side is always frizzier and has these blocky type of curls compared to the other side. I would love to have waitlength hair but my hair is really thick and it would be even hadlrder to maintain. The longest it’s been is up to my belly button but that’s when it’s wet. Whenever it’s dry it bounces up, which I don’t really have a problem with if it stays the same everytime! Each day the bounce daughter higher up or lower, which makes it look really weird. I cut it a few weeks ago just below my shoulders since it was just getting really hard to fix the ends from having hooks. It’s a bit easier now ever since I’ve done that but I’m still getting there. I’m really glad everything is starting to work out for you and I wish you good luck!! 👍😊😊
Do you use a protective hairstyle when you sleep?
@@clairew972 Ye so put in into a satin bonnet but I still face the same problem with one side being frizzier than the other. I also have bangs and it’s kinda hard to keep those down since whenever I put them into the bonnet they bounce up above my forehead instead of laying flat on top.

That's kinda rude
i diagnose you with having curly hair. sounds about right. when you tried the curly girl method, and you saw those results, that was your hair getting healthier. let’s face it, if you have curly hair, there is no way youll be able to keep it straight and healthy at the same time.
Her isn't no where near curly, wavy yes. Curly? No...
wavy enough for her to be treating her hair different that she is.
I tried the curly girl a little bit. I'm prob 2C. I killed it and decided to keep sulfates out, no heat, silk pillow cases, etc, after I got the big chop. I still use "bad shampoos" and hairspray from time to time still, but it does make a difference when you use the right products and methods! Oh and I went back to a brush cuz the pick made me feel scruffy, and my waves are still nice afterwards once I use texturizing spray and hair wax.
I think it would be closer to 3a or 3b if I was consistent longet and let it heal. But.... Ok no excuses, will re commit. The whole idea was to treat it the way I should once it was chopped.
My hairs wavy and ik I don't treat it the best but I avoid heat and everything now and will treat it better in the future for when I get more money 🖤
Her hair is naturally straight lol
I have some advice that I don’t know if you have tried. But they worked great for me. 1. Try the matrix dry conditioner it made my hair soft and silky. 2. Try doing your conditioner first then shampoo. That actually made my hair feel so much healthier.3. Try a brush called a tangle teezer and it made my hair so de- tangled. Hope these tips help!
Hey 🙂
I don't know how happy you are with your hair now, but I thought this was my story. I went through the same years-long routine as you, with all the trimmings. And then I remembered a sentence... It may sound crazy. An old classmate had beautiful long hair that I envied. She once told me, "Don't concentrate too much on your hair, then it will quickly become long and beautiful!" Our energy flows to where we focus our attention. If we constantly nag our hair and doubt that it is not beautiful, then these thoughts have a negative effect on the hair and that is how it grows. So learn to love your hair and yourself as you are and don't put so much energy into your hair. You will see how fast it grows when other things become more important. 😉
Sis u have 2b and 2c hair just accept it you don’t need to use curly hair products just learn how to treat it
My though 🤦♀️ "i want healthy waist length hair but it has to be pin strait despite my natural hair so im going to do loads of unhealthy shit to it to make it strait"
amen! she wants to look a certain way, but sometimes you need to listen to what your hair wants
Yes! Using straight hair products in hairs that are not straight do a lot of damage! Is forcing your hair in a way it’s not natural. As she said, years passed, she started as teen, adding all the hormonal issues, hairs CAN change! I had straight flawless hair, but after I was 12 my hair started to curl and now is a full 3B/3C!
She is just going back to all the old treatments for straight hair that didn’t work, like, can’t she learn?
Abbie Ainsley so true!!! Once I just accepted my hair texture & stopped having unrealistic goals and actually caring for how it was instead of how I wanted it to be (unrealistically) it thrived so much more 🙄
I used to have waist length hair, I thought they'd look nice but my natural soft curl in addition with the waigh of the hair just made it freezy. Now I cut it chin length and I'm embracing the curl, they are softet and healthier than ever.

ever since i was around ten years old (that was when i started getting aware of what i looked like and wanting to improve my looks) ive been tryin to get shiny, glossy, straight hair. my hair has always looked really damaged although id never done anything to damage my hair, in the first place, so i got it chopped, used tons of conditioner, hair oils, masks, deep conditioner, shampoo for dry hair etc. but my hair would always just look the same and people kept commenting on how dry it, how damaged it looked which broke my heart, because despite all the effort i put in, my hair wouldn’t improve one bit. and then, one day, i discovered a video on yt by a woman with similar lookin hair. turned out she had curly hair, the next day i followed the steps she took in order to get her hair to curl and mine was, in fact, curly too. now, im a 2c/3a type, and happier than ever. I feel like how you feel about your hair also depends on how you see your hair.
I’ve always had very messy, split ended, static and frizzy hair, but I still absolutely love it. This is because, my mother reminds me so often! That she loves my hair and that it look like it’s been professionally curled, so, for the past year I haven’t cared about my hair much. Maybe a here and there treatment to keep it brushed and we’ll looked after but other then that, I love my hair. I found that, my hair wasn’t my favourite, but I learnt to accept it, and find the best out of it
Getting a bob can help get thickness back. When my hair was thin and dry i saw to get a bob to help so i did thinking and it worked. It made my hair not only looked thicker but actually was thicker. I then grew out my hair and it was amazing but i hated brushing it so I got it cut into a bob. I hated it because it was not good for my face shape so i grew it out again down to under my shoulders. I got tired of how long it was so got a bob again and now i have a bob. My friend challenged me to grow it to the bottom of my back and now i am going from bob to super long hair☺️
She did all the things possible and I'm here just using shampo and conditioner
