Levi’s English voice actor is the legendary Matt Mercer. He is S class VA. Also you want best English dub moments? Erwin when he gets his arm bitten off.
I think that as english speakers we aren't really aware of when voice acting in another language sounds off, but as soon as we can understand what's being said that changes

English dub is amazing and I high support the voice actors. Got influenced during the early years of anime as well as from a lot of video games with similar English voice actors.
My opinion on this topic is that english VAs are very good but I have a problem with sound design and production. Most DUBs sound like people talking into a microphone and SUB sounds REAL. Idk how to explain it better. DUB just sounds FAKE. It has nothing to do with VAs performance. For example Death Note in DUB was done right and sounds AMAZING maybe even better than SUB but that's because the sound design is perfect and on top of the VAs did a great job

I watched all the way up to episode 1090 or something in dub but when I got caught up around 1060, I swapped to sub so I could ride the hype out for that moment. I couldn't really invest myself into the moment because I had to split my attention between reading and trying to tell who was even talking with what was going on at the time and worst of all, the music that adds so much to the story is quite a lot quieter in the sub. I dont understand how dub sounds fake though outside of specific instances. If anything, I wish we could get new episodes for each language so the lipsync would match up and they wouldn't have to alter a character's dialogue just to fit with mouth movement.

I watch a majority of anime in dub because im not a fast reader and I like actually being able to understand what the actor is saying and whats happening on scene. I honestly feel more emotion watching in dub than I do in sub, its incredible, im so glad you reacted to it
Dub voices do tend to be more emotional, as Japanese in itself is a fairly flat language for quite a few tones. And usually, when Japanese VA's put emotion in, it tends to be overacted to make up for it.
Armin's dub VA is INCREDIBLE. The same VA also voices Tokoyami in the MHA dub and it's CRAZY how different they make the characters sound in comparison. We need more dub MHA reactions tbh the dub is really good. (Dub Deku vs Muscular, anything dub Endeavor, dub Todoroki vs Dabi)
If you ever plan to make another video like this, I **really** want you to hear some of english Luffy's combat scenes. Luffy's english voice gets a lot of flak for simply sounding "off" at a base level in the role, but Colleen Clinkenbeard is genuinely one of the best screamers ever. In particular, you gotta hear the Jet Gatling against Lucci. ALSO, you should listen to the scene where Nami breaks down and asks Luffy for help in Arlong Park. Both are incredibly powerful.

One thing I noticed about Goku's voice actor over the years is that each transformation tends to add a growl to his voice. Listen for it. His base form, he's light and jolly. Super Saiyan , he sounds a little serious. And it just gets deeper and more gravelly from then on.

I recently rewatched mha in English and it’s honestly a whole new experience. It’s so much more funnier and it made me love characters I didn’t really cared for in the sub.

Specially Goku. I can bet my life on Goku English voice is just iconic in itself . The funny dialogue deliveries mixed with some character acting, the scream etc. It's just all original in it itself. You can watch the reactions of Dragon ball series in You tube. They are all watching in dub. In here, everybody just on their tv or mobile before going to sleep only to hear Goku's laughing voice in English. I will not say the exact same thing for any other anime but I can bet the dub on Dragon ball series and in games.

You know like in Subaru Natsuki? 😅 Rudeus is really not likable most of season 1, but towards the end of it you can see on multiple occasions that he changed quite a lot. Season 2 shows it even more. Just as Thorfinn isn't a good person the entire first season and is basically just a mass murderer, Rudeus (not being even remotely close to Thorfinn in terms of the bad things) does have a change from his core too. You cannot change from one day to another. Certain circumstances and his trauma of his past life made Rudy the way he is in part 1, but he develops. Slowly, but consistently
The dub is the only reason I watched the series. I actually dropped it during season 2 while watching it weekly. Not because it was bad, I just wasn't as invested. watched the whole series again in English and now I patiently wait for the next season.

One thing I noticed about Goku's voice actor over the years is that each transformation tends to add a growl to his voice. Listen for it. His base form, he's light and jolly. Super Saiyan , he sounds a little serious. And it just gets deeper and more gravelly from then on.
SS4 is a growl, SSB is like extra phlegm in his throat or something lol

Especially the narrator, the main thing that made that dub great (along with everyone else's performances).

@@sangoku876 Nah man, I am from India and in here everybody watching Dragon ball in Dub. Honestly speaking, there is no hate for sub from me but just watching Dragon ball in Dub feels like home. Specially Goku. I can bet my life on Goku English voice is just iconic in itself . The funny dialogue deliveries mixed with some character acting, the scream etc. It's just all original in it itself.
You can watch the reactions of Dragon ball series in You tube. They are all watching in dub. In here, everybody just on their tv or mobile before going to sleep only to hear Goku's laughing voice in English.
I will not say the exact same thing for any other anime but I can bet the dub on Dragon ball series and in games.

Some screams and moments might be better in sub but most of the anime is conversation, strategizing or explaining stuff that I'll just watch in dub

Rudeus is really not likable most of season 1, but towards the end of it you can see on multiple occasions that he changed quite a lot. Season 2 shows it even more. Just as Thorfinn isn't a good person the entire first season and is basically just a mass murderer, Rudeus (not being even remotely close to Thorfinn in terms of the bad things) does have a change from his core too. You cannot change from one day to another. Certain circumstances and his trauma of his past life made Rudy the way he is in part 1, but he develops. Slowly, but consistently

Not because it was bad, I just wasn't as invested. watched the whole series again in English and now I patiently wait for the next season.
