That "Suck it Fox, I'm going to Disneyland" may be one of the best, if not the best, fourth wall breaks I've ever seen, I almost cried laughing in theaters You can say many things that could be improved about this movie, but the humor, soundtrack and action scenes are some of the best in a movie based on comics in recent years.
I'm glad to finally see someone that isn't sucking this movie's dick off just for meeting the bare minimum of mediocrity. Personally I think a lot of the humor is pretty unfunny but that's more of a subjective thing. The action choreography and soundtrack are pretty killer though, yeah.
That was probably the most Deadpool moment in all 3 movies. Not just talking to the camera, but literally yoinking and headbutting it while telling the studio to get fucked. 😂
That could have been related to the rest of the Others getting saved from the Void. Maybe he, and the others besides Laura, get saved by someone else while the TVA save Laura which is why we only see her at the end.
I think the German dub added a joke to the Chris Evans bait-and-switch, as Johnny Storm back then had a different voice actor than Captain America, so they used THAT voice actor for this movie again, and when he revealed himself as Johnny, Deadpool remarked something like "Damn, I knew his voice sounded a bit weird"
And in the Latin American dub, both Chris Evans and Ryan Reynolds have the same actor voicing them both so the joke was changed to "The audience might confuse our voices!" 😅
The detail of Gambit saying it’s hard to know for sure whether he was born in the void or not kinda resonates with his lack of a movie, because he was supposed to get one but his movie was called off.
Movie was ultimately cancelled by Feige because he didn't want to confuse audiences. It would have come out post Disney acquisition, but could not be an MCU movie.
@@deanromanado5850Chris Evans is so good as Cap but the guy started out as the wise-ass Johnny and even showed that same side in Scott Pilgrim and Knives Out. The guy is just really good and an absolute treat to watch.

I definitely don't see this as a Deadpool movie like the first two were. This is a loving send off to everything that came before and paved the road for the MCU. Deadpool was just the perfect vehicle for it.
The "sacrifice" moment with Logan and Wade and the orchestrally epic version of Like a Prayer genuinely made me cry and I never expected doing so in theatres until that. Just from how they shot and edited them contemplating their last moments and how the lyrics thematically reflected those moments was just pure and genuine cinema at its finest. Easily a top 10 MCU moment for me

There can't be a Gambit movie without an establishing X-Men movie first, which means he has to be the X-Men Gambit, which means aging up Rogue too to not make it weird, the relationships with the rest of the x-men change, which is... so many story changes just to get one passionate actor to play his part, who is gonna be 50 years old playing an originally 25-ish year old character. i appreciate Channing's love for Gambit, and how much he fought for him, it sucks that Fox fumbled him so hard. Because Wesley Snipes returned as Blade just for this movie he holds the Guiness World Record, ironically beating out Hugh Jackman, with "longest career as a live-action Marvel character" at 25 years and 340 days (I'm assuming the 340 days is to the day of the movie's release).
This movie was 75% fan service, and I'm 100% okay with that 😂 A fun fact about the Deadpool Corps casting of Kidpool: it was supposed to be Walker Scobell (the kid from Adam Project, and massive fan of Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool -- he even auditioned for Adam Project with a fully memorized Deadpool monologue). But that kid hit puberty and his voice dropped before filming, so they couldn't use him as a kid's voice anymore. So instead... Kidpool is played by Ryan Reynold's actual real-life daughter 😂
Have they watched the Adam Project? They definitely know him from Percy Jackson & The Olympians. It sucks he didn't get to play kidpool, he was available. They could have made a teen version for him to play tho.
@Blind Wave The Wolverine with the big hair and black onesie in the alleyway was Logan from "Age of Apocalypse." If you look closely, you'll notice he's missing his left hand and his claws extend from his stump. That's because Cyclops shot his hand off in this universe and Logan retracted his claws JUST in time to prevent them from going with the hand. Because he was able to retract them back into his forearm, he still had them after Cyclops shot the hand off. Also, another cameo was Head-Pool who was played by Nathan Fillion. Oh and Fun Fact, if I'm remembering it right: The whole slowed down version of "Like A Prayer" at the end of the movie when Wade and Logan are being vaporized by the Ripper was actually Madonna's idea. If I recall the story correctly, Ryan brought the script to Madonna to pitch to her using "Like A Prayer" for the big Deadpool Corps Fight Scene. She absolutely loved the idea. But then as she was going through the actual climax of the movie where Wade and Logan sacrifice themselves, she was like, "You should bring it back here." Ryan was like, "What?" She was like, "Use 'Like A Prayer' here as well... but slow it down." Ryan's head just about exploded at that idea. Now I don't know if they just actually slowed down the recording or if Madonna recorded a slower version just for the movie, but yeah, all her idea. Shows how well Madonna knows cinema and her own music to know that would work and just how well it would work.
@@madisonwhovian943 They were on opposite factions in this reality. Scott was part of Apocalypse's Elite Mutant Force (EMF). Logan was Weapon X. It's been a while since I've read these comics, so I don't remember the exact reason Scott shoots Logan's hand off, but I seem to recall it having something to do with the fact that Jean chose Logan over Scott in this timeline. Which, let's be honest, Scott did that to himself by agreeing to become Apocalypse's lapdog. Also, in case you're wondering HOW Scott shot Logan's hand off, this Scott doesn't use a visor in this timeline, at least not anymore. He uses a single eye piece. That's right, this Scott is ACTUALLY a Cyclops in this timeline in that he shoots out of only one eye. His left eye was lost in a fight so all of his Optic Blast Power is now concentrated through his right eye. So yeah, take Cyclops' Optic Blast and condense and concentrate that into an Optic Beam and that's the kind of power we're talking about being focused into one point. Adamantium or not, Cyclops is taking limbs with power like that.

The line that X23 says to Logan "you were always the wrong guy, until you weren't" is kind of poetic when you consider that Hugh wasn't originally cast as the Wolverine, Dougray Scott was, but because he was in Mission Impossible 2 and that film went over schedule he couldn't do x-men so they went with the next choice which was Hugh, talk about fate!

I like how one person tried to explain Deadpool's and Wolverine's healing powers. Upon injury, Wolverine's damaged cells are replaced with new ones working to keep his health bar full. However, Deadpool has cancer cells that are being replaced with more cancer cells when he gets hurt, meaning he will always have one hit point forever.
It's kind of amazing how much this feels like a sentimental goodbye and salute the Fox movies kind of deserved. They weren't perfect, there's a reason Deadpool's swipes against them land, but there was good in them. Somehow, giving them a sendoff like this, via Deadpool of all things, FEELS right. Like they should be acknowledged, maybe even more than their home studio was willing to.
This movie's opening scene must be the most iconic way of opening a superhero film in general. Also, I can definitely see the Cavillrine being the MCU version of Wolverine because, well… look at him 😍💛💙
Welshpool, the one with the welsh flag on his chest, was played by Paul mullin. Paul is the striker for the welsh football club, Wrexham, which Ryan co-owns now. (There is even a tv show on Wrexham football club, called Welcome to Wrexham, made by Ryan and his other co-owner)
I went and saw this movie 3x in theaters i loved it so much. Wolverine is one of my all time favorite heros. Such a good movie and a highlight of this year.
The thing that I find so fascinating about this movie is that it is so respectful to the comics and the characters. A character and movie like Deadpool, who mocks everything, and yet somehow the movie doesn't make a joke or diminish the characters, the way it handles Blade, Elektra and Gambit are so well done. It makes them real characters that even with their limited screen time, are interesting. For as many jokes as Deadpool makes about Gambit, this is one of the most incredible portrayals of the character put on screen. One of the things that I really hate about a lot of the more recent superhero shows and movies is that it seems like the filmmakers are making fun of the characters and the comics that they are adapting. Like they're trying to say "Hey we know comics are stupid but we're making the movie anyway." (Looking at you No Way Home laughing at the name Otto Octavius)
Kidpool was using a watergun in the final shoot out😂😂😂🔫🔫🔫 Also WOW that was fast the moment deadpool & wolverine release on digital you guys are already making a video about it.

Guy in the striped shirt was in fact supposed to be the Russian. The original actor commented on him (jokingly) saying he looks nothing how he looked in the Punisher. The red and white shirt is supposed to be the giveaway. Also, when you were talking about Wolverines shirt exploding but not Deadpool's, I feel like the scene represents something a lot deeper. Wolverine wore the suit because of his guilt of what happened to his X-Men, but now through his sacrifice and realizing he now has a new friend that cares for him and was able to show him his worth, he's free of his guilt baring chains.

One thing I liked from the ending is that Laura(X-23) didn't die, she's a character with potential she even wore the mantle of Wolverine in the comics, I hope she returns in the future
Why would they kill Wolverine's daughter? The writer's..
If they want Wolverine in the MCU she’s the obvious pick. Means they don’t have to recast Logan, they can use an already beloved character while honouring Jackman. Plus, Dafne Keen is an incredible actor and deserves everything
I love that this movie is a love letter to 20th Century Fox and all their superhero movies. The successes and the failures. One last Hurah and giving them their flowers. Because without them the MCU would not be here.
I didn't realize this until my second showing, but they are absolutely thanking Fox for bringing us all those comic book films.
That "Suck it Fox, I'm going to Disneyland" may be one of the best, if not the best, fourth wall breaks I've ever seen, I almost cried laughing in theaters
You can say many things that could be improved about this movie, but the humor, soundtrack and action scenes are some of the best in a movie based on comics in recent years.
The fact that *_Disney_* approved it was stunning
He _literally_ broke the fourth wall with that headbutt.
The theatre erupted when I first saw it. Absolutely PEAK Deadpool!
In the post credit scene, you can see gambit on one of the screens stood next to a sling ring portal.
The sling ring Cassandra uses also has two chunks of infinity stones on the edges. The green time stone & red reality stone.
Yeah they posted the full video later on showing Gambit getting pulled from the void
That could have been related to the rest of the Others getting saved from the Void. Maybe he, and the others besides Laura, get saved by someone else while the TVA save Laura which is why we only see her at the end.
We heard about that but when we stayed through all the credits (in theaters) it never showed up 😢
@@Cantmakeupmymindonanameyeah they just dropped the scene later they didn’t have it in the movie, besides apparently on a TVA monitor
That’s amazing
And in the Latin American dub, both Chris Evans and Ryan Reynolds have the same actor voicing them both so the joke was changed to "The audience might confuse our voices!" 😅
even in other countries they are breaking the forth wall
The detail of Gambit saying it’s hard to know for sure whether he was born in the void or not kinda resonates with his lack of a movie, because he was supposed to get one but his movie was called off.
Movie was ultimately cancelled by Feige because he didn't want to confuse audiences. It would have come out post Disney acquisition, but could not be an MCU movie.
The whole part of Johnny saying all of that is so fucking hilarious and the fact that Chris memorized all of that is so good 🤣🤣🤣
Watching the behind the scenes of it is even funnier 🤣pretty sure Ryan or Chris uploaded it somewhere 😭

But this revival as the supporting role in Deadpool

25:32 Hugh Jackman’s acting during that van monologue was TOP TIER ✨🤌✨
"Hugh...your line was 'I hate you' ..."
+toaivahall9673
Hugh basically gave an Oscar monologue inside of a Deadpool movie.
Gotta respect it.
Someone cut out the swearing on UA-cam to show what a typical MCU version of that scene would be and it loses nothing. That's how good his acting was in that scene
I hate that anytime someone acts angry or crazy in a movie, THAT is good acting.
For me that scene is the best I've ever seen Hugh act. If I didn't know better I'd swear he actually hates Ryan Reynolds and wasn't acting.
That monologue from Logan to Wade in the car is Spectacular, Hugh's performance and the fact that no one shut Wade up like this made my movie theater completely silent
The Spock reference is from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan where Spock sacrifices his life to save the crew of The Enterprise. After he repairs the imbalance in the warp core, he is dying of radiation poisoning, and he places his hand on the transparent window shield in the reactor room as he talks to Kirk. He then makes the Vulcan hand gesture and says, "Live long and prosper". He also tells Kirk, "I have been, and shall always be...your friend". I guess I am old, but it was a brilliant reference.
I love at 22:20 how Pyro is either impressed with the language or stunned about how Johnny talked himself into an early grave.

There was a Blade series that came out in 2006. Blade was played by Kirk Jones aka Sticky Fingaz. It was produced by New Line in association with Marvel. It was apparently cancelled due to high production costs.
The coolest and funniest opening scene in history. This whole film was just so much fun. Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds bounce of eachother so well. And the cameos are mind blowing, especially Gambit and Cavillrine.

A fun fact about the Deadpool Corps casting of Kidpool: it was supposed to be Walker Scobell (the kid from Adam Project, and massive fan of Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool -- he even auditioned for Adam Project with a fully memorized Deadpool monologue). But that kid hit puberty and his voice dropped before filming, so they couldn't use him as a kid's voice anymore. So instead... Kidpool is played by Ryan Reynold's actual real-life daughter 😂
Babypool is also played by Ryan's youngest. And Lady Pool is of course Blake Lively. And Cowboy Pool is, surprise, Matthew McConaughey
Have they watched the Adam Project? They definitely know him from Percy Jackson & The Olympians. It sucks he didn't get to play kidpool, he was available. They could have made a teen version for him to play tho.

The Wolverine with the big hair and black onesie in the alleyway was Logan from "Age of Apocalypse." If you look closely, you'll notice he's missing his left hand and his claws extend from his stump.
Why did Scott shoot Logan's hand off?
