Thanks for sharing! it`s a great job what you have done, it seems blender have many secret to be explored! I`m using huion too , but a smaller one 16 inch
Awesome going with the video, feels like you're going for it. It would also be awesome to have longer sculpting-chapters, or if maybe even it'd be something that was streamed. For me I'd love chapter 1 to be real-time, like I can't slow-mo enough to get an idea of your approach to do the nose 😅
I love your content Yan, I use ZBrush to sculpt characters and your videos help me a lot to learn and improve! Soon I would like to learn how to use Blender, and I wanted to ask you about how in minute 3:00 you can work the facial features symmetrically even though the model's face is not symmetrically oriented. Usually I first make the face from the front with symetry and once finished I rotate it. I would like to be able to sculpt directly in 3/4 while keeping the symmetry on so I can have a better view of the model and it's general pose. So how do you do it? its a blender feature? or there is something more that I'm missing? P.S: I love how this chaarcter ended up looking
Thanks! The symmetry takes into account the origin point. If you move the object and or rotate it in object mode (not edit mode), the origin point follows, so symmetry does as well.
Vraiment magnifique , je commence petit à petit la sculpture 3D et je voulais te demander quel matériel utilise-tu ( pc/mac ) pour bien faire tourner blender et quel tablette ? Merci

I've had my eye on your sculpting course for a while now as I consider moving over from ZBrush to Blender... Do you talk much about your way of configuring tools/brushes and your shortcuts setup? Blender drives me crazy with the Object, Sculpt, and Edit mode subtlties to the point where I give up after losing my undo's, or constantly find myself in Edit mode, when I want to be in Object mode etc.
I am guessing you are looking for an introduction to the tools in blender, the one up to date in terms of sculpting tools is the patreon crash course, it is a quick intro to sculpting in blender, i believe that one is 2 hours total with the sculpt, it is available for all patreons, and you can quit after first month if you aren't interested in the rest. The other courses (head mastering one, anatomy one, etc) is about sculpting, not the sculpting tools if that makes sense. You can see in detail what each course offers in their respective gumroad pages.
I usually texturing on substance painter on my laggy pc, Painting texture in blender looks interesting but kinda hard to use.. Hardest part is node editor

didn't understand your second question but as for the first it is because your origin point is not placed well. Look up origin point in blender to see what i mean, symmetrize uses that origin point as a mirror line, so if it placed in your sculpt, it will do what you said.
Also, everytime you work on details... How do you get your mesh so smooth? Everytime I wanna refine anything grabs too much mesh making it impossible to work on small details I've already remesh it... but does not seem to work. :'c

This way of sculpting is an additive type, where you add stuff to the sculpture.
But have you try subtractive type? like stone and wood sculpture
Hmm generally you have to do it that way with these materials, would it really make sense to do that here? Interesting thought!
