Dude I love that you start slow and gradually speed up. It’s very easy to follow when you do it that way instead of jumping from bpm to bpm. Because when you go from 80 bpm to 120 bpm there is a massive difference in the way it sounds and for us newer drummers we got lost immediately.
I appreciate that!
It's definitely the best way to teach something, and even though I don't say it out loud in every video - I always encourage my viewers to start at their preferred tempo. If 70bpm is too fast, start at 50 🤗
Cheers for watching, bud!
I second this!
You’re def one of the best teachers on YT. And you’ve come at the right time. Big thanks
Wow, thank you! I appreciate it😊🙌
One of the best chops tutorial I found so far. So many others want to plug their e-book with like 3 VERY basic chops or their drum school and don't actually teach you a lot. Thank you!
I'm so glad you like it! Cheers, bud!
You are not just a great drummer, you are a great D-instructor as well ❤
Thank you, D-brother!!!
I appreciate that! Thanks, bud!🙌🔥

Awesome!!😃
Best Teacher Ever! Thank you
Wow, thanks!😃🔥
Nice! This is really going to improve my drumming. For me the hard part is getting my foot to kick at the right moment. Practice :)
You can do it!🙌🔥
Muito obrigado por transmitir conhecimentos gratuitamente aqui. Abraços aqui do Brasil.

If this type of training is too complicated, then maybe it's time to consider another instrument👍👍
Great Scott
Excellent lesson!
Thanks!!
Dude!!! Iv said multiple times, but best sounding kit on the web!! Id point out that sticking technique greatly attributes to that!!! I love your approach and demeanor.would love if u stayed on snare longer for sticking patterns, i have to pause, rewind often😂😂😂and i been playing 45yrs.great blog brother

I'm a new drummer, finding myself gravitating towards your channel more than any other.
Was wondering though, do you have any videos just about straight funk beats that you are playing in between those fills?
Thank you.
Cheers! I’ve got a few!
Scroll through my channel, you’ll see some groove lessons. (Especially one about “stank face-grooves”😎)
Any advice on improving "diddles" or double ghost note on weaker hand? Thanks.
Check my lessons! I’ve got lessons on ghost notes 😃
Excellent lesson, super helpful when you slow down the patterns, by the way what brand and series are the drums that you use on the videos ?
Thanks! I appreciate that 😃
I used to play a Pearl Reference Series kit, but since March this year I am a Sonor drummer 🤗
thank you for answer bro !!!

Another great lesson, thank you nice teacher! The first one I have used a lot, but only as a "sneaky" fill at the end of stuff. Also only with the highhat, snare and base. I wish I could explain it, because it is so cool, but over internet... nope. Keep on rocking! 🤘
Stay awesome!👊🔥
New drummer here! What’s a ghost note?
a quiet note when you don’t use really use any force
Soft strokes, most commonly played on the snare drum. Ghost notes are written as a note inside a pair of parentheses ( )
Pretty cool ideas. I have a question though. Since I have the same drumkit and I noticed your Tom’s are almost flat and seem pretty low, how tall are you? When I lower my Tom’s like that with less than an inch between the 12” and the bass drum, I have to sit pretty high on the throne to reach them without hitting the rims. I’m 5’ 10” you must be much taller or you have a 20” bass drum. Doesn’t sound like a small bass drum.
Good question! First of all - I use a 22” bass, but don’t be mistaken. 20” bass drums can sound incredibly deep and full, depending on wood type and tuning.
I also use a drum rack, so my toms are not mounted to the bass drum or cymbal stands. That way I can get them lower without touching the rim of the bass.
I’m 180cm, and I sit so my hips are a little bit above knee height.
Ah ok. It’s the rack making the difference and your throne height. We are practically the same height
How many weeks/months do you try to incorporate new learnings/chops in your playing after just learning them now? Feels like forever for me haha!
It depends on the situation.
Sometimes I never use them, especially in a live setting - because they simply don't fit the music. But I might sneak them in when the time is right.
Extreme.
So chops are like 'shredding' for the drums?
Basically, yes!🤟
@@ThatSwedishDrummer thanks a lot.
💕💕💕
Do more teaching content please.
More is on the way, but I have tons of videos you can watch in the meantime!
❤
Show
The patterns are simple but not to play at 170 bpm😊
You can pick whatever tempo you're comfortable with ^^
@@ThatSwedishDrummerbut the problem is that it doesn't sound right😢
why do i feel like iv seen this guy somewhere irl 😭
Maybe you have?🤷♂️
By "chops" you actually mean "licks." Don't worry, almost everybody gets it wrong but chops are the skill of your hands/feet/whatever which you use to play the licks (series of notes).
These are chops. There’s no such thing as licks. Unless you’re playing guitar
Too hard none of it is easy.
That's why we practice slowly first ;)
@@ThatSwedishDrummer mb ik I was just in a bad mood that day
