@@mattjohnsonphoto My question should have read "Manual mode, Auto ISO". With most cameras, one can access Exposure Compensation when in Manual mode/Auto ISO, but it turns out that the Canon T3, as an entry level camera, was not programmed with that capability. That's ok, because I usually use the T3 for macro woirk with a Tokina 100mm macro lens - all other photography is accomplished with my Canon 7D Mark II and other lenses. Very clearly explained - but how about when the camera is in MANUAL mode?

In manual mode, you would just change the ISO, shutter speed or aperture to adjust the exposure.
