On Newtype in EXAM: The PSP Gundam Battle Royale/Chronicle/Universe series makes it so Newtypes can’t use EXAM suits at all, and there’s also a sidequest in Code Fairy where even the weak Newtype Alma is obviously uncomfortable in the presence of a Blue Destiny unit due to what she hears of Marion (though having been acquainted with Marion could have made it worse). I'd think the combined implication would be that their enhanced ability to hear Marion’s tortured soul crying for release would make actually piloting an EXAM suit unbearable for a real newtype to pilot
And maybe a strong enough newtype could even be able to free Marion's soul. If someone like Kamille was able to summon the souls of the deceased maybe they can also free them.
I did point this out in one of his old videos. I've played Gundam Battle Universe, where they do have the Blue Destiny series that are explicitly to be piloted by Old types or Neutral. And Vice versa, there are Some newtype units that can't be pilot by neutrals.
Boy if I had a nickle every time an experimental pilot assist program ate the soul of a newtype girl, I'd only have 2 (3?) nickels, but it's still weird it happened twice!
You remember that one scene in Agents of Shield where Grant Ward said “It means someone really wanted our initials to spell out ‘S.H.I.E.L.D.’”? That’s how some of these acronyms sound to me lol
The AI in Gundam Sentinel is "Advanced Logistics and Inconsequence Cognizing Equipment", or ALICE. Are "inconsequence" and "cognizing" even real words?
If Code Fairy is to be believed, Marion's soul crying out for release is NOT exclusive to the pilot of the EXAM equipped machine. Alma Stirner, a fellow Flannigan Institute participant, knew Marion and fought Yuu Kajima during the waning days of The One Year War. According to Alma, she could hear Marion screaming out in pain as Yuu activated The BD-1's EXAM System. This implies that any natural Newtype within range of it can hear Marion's soul...
Honestly, the EXAM system feels like it stretches my suspension of disbelief as far as concepts that could exist during the OYW, considering the state of Zeon's Newtype-related weaponry seen during the OYW like their Mobile Armors and the Alex supposidely being the Federation's engineering pinnacle, but both HADES and the Pale Rider series itself feel like they absolutely do not belong in 0079. The EXAM system is tough to handle, but so is the Zero system. Heero had lots of training to handle Wing Zero, but it took him a while to control it. For the EXAM system however, it's a different story.
If I remember right, the ZERO system was dumping both overall combat data, and its own predictive suggestions directly into a pilot’s brain. The kind of transmitter required to do that without any cybernetic implants probably played merry hell with a person’s neurons all by itself, yeah?
@@Asmodeus696 it messed with Heero's mind for a long time, until he got around to piloting Epyon and was influenced by the epyon system. The epyon system is a similar predictive model to the zero system. But instead of showing the pilot combat scenarios, it would show them the possible ways they could die in combat. This effect stayed with the pilot even after they stopped using it. What this meant, was that when heero went back to using the zero mobile suit, both systems were affecting him while piloting. This would dump the predictive combat scenarios into his mind, and simultaneously filter through the less affective scenarios by showing him if he would die at the conclusion of them. So in combat, he was experiencing the battle dozens of times over at the beginning along with the sensation of himself dying at the end of any bad scenario.
Kakarot: You probably DON'T want to pilot one of these machines Me: Haha! I love my pale rider with [HADES]. It makes my head go BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
meanwhile in Crossbone Gundam even non-organic beings what is basically a robot that are the Bio-Brains have Newtype abilities with one unit being a robot clone of Amuro Ray complete with his Newtype specs.
Note on the Red Rider, the Ares system is AI based unlike the rest. Which is why it can take voice commands. It's also fairly friendly and can be reasoned with. It also prioritizes pilot safety. These are details from the manga in which it appears that didn't make it to the various wikis. Unlike the others it does not interfere with the pilot brain, as the AI does the adjustments required for newtype mimicry.
That would would explain why its actions seem simplified compared to a real psycommu system. It's basically machine learning combining the pilot's mental commands with the newtype data to approximate what the pilot is asking the system to do.
IMO, it's most likely... A.) Cost. That's usually the biggest issue with otherwise good tech used in mobile suit prototypes and/or ships. B.) Not wanting it to fall into the hands of a rogue pilot/double agent/etc. C.) Not wanting any A.L.I.C.E. system to become too smart for its own good.
@@HalfDemonInuyasha on C), any weapon that can become self aware thus fully autonomous, basically has no safety off switch. The thing is they never give the reason why and, given the success of ALICE, you’d think that success and lack of follow up would at least be addressed.
Wow this all just made me realize that IBO borrowed ALOT of elements from these systems for their universe The AV system is basically their version of the Exam system/HADES system, right down to evem forcing the AV procedures onto war orphams making them basically Cyber New Types and the Gundam Frames limiter removal mode (complete with red eyes) is 100% like Ares/Hades wth 🤔
thats pretty common for the alternate universes: they all get inspirations from UC(its actually almost the exact same things but changing the names). blueprint on making a gundam series: 1- put people into space long enough til they develop better reflexes and 6th sense. 2- have a special particle that was never discovered before to be responsible for those people being OP. 3- have a teenager being very unlucky getting involved in some bs making them having to fight and eventually developing stronger space powers than the adults in the universe.
Besides the Quasi, the NITRO system seems like it’s the one with the least amount of draw backs. And it seems like in the Manga with the version on the Delta Gundam Kai that you can help control the side effects of it with enough training. Although the manga I don’t think fully explains everything
It wasn't training, braier ryude had light newtype abilities that let him avoid the drawbacks entirely. But a recurring point in the nitro saga (across the sky and last sun) is that continued use of NITRO will ruin someone. The proto nitro in across the sky (the Titans made ones the gabthleys and proto psychos used) was said to kill the pilot outright. The new NITRO was said to slowly burn a person away until just their anger and hatred remained, basically. Ing ryude was pretty bad after his use of NITRO and only really cleared up after stopping using it, but also having time for it to clear away. It's the best option especially since you don't need physical mods and you won't outright die, but it's more like you'll lose yourself as a person even in the best case scenario for extended use Edit: to add to this, in last sun Joleon Day was kidnapped and was forced to use NITRO, which affected him so strongly that he couldn't tell between ally and foe
Not really, method that used by Titan's labs and Axis Zeon were crude and unfinished. Gyunei was an artificial newtype but he does not harbor mental instability like previous Kyouka Ningens thanks to Nanai's research
You get gud. There were 2 oldtype pilots that could compete with Newtypes without such systems, both eventually died in battle with a Newtype however. Yazan Gable was a very capable pilot and fought with Kamile plenty of times, with a seeming edge for survival. We can only guess oxygen depravation is what led to his behavior in ZZ Gundam. The other is in late UC, Zabine Chareux was also an oldtype that could take Newtypes down in a fight. After the fall of Cosmo Babylon he joins up with Seabook and Cecily in the Crossbone Vanguard pirate group. Spars with Seabook many times and held the upper hand, it wasn't until his defection to the Jupiter Empire and a loyalty test that drove him mad did he start getting sloppy. It eventually cost him. A system that could turn Zabine or Yazan into a Newtype only would have made them even more dangerous, but still just as unstable as they became anyways.
Yazan survived and show up in the manga return of Johnny Ridden. Zabine have a beef with Seabook from the start and defected because the Jupiter Empire offers him the restoration aristocracy political system which he is wanted. Although he did meet his end. Both of the pilots are good and experienced MS pilots with military training background which may argue that they are better trained pilots and tacticians compare to most NT pilots.
@@lokix19azxc13 Seabook (later, Kincaid) himself was average newtype who covered by his piloting skill, Zabine can match his skill and almost kill Seabook because Seabook's focus went divided by Cecily's core fighter who shot down by Zabine.
Wonder why the UC never bothered to make something closer to the mobile trace system? It could benefit the oldtypes who may not have special extrasensory powers but are certainly physically capable and/or experienced in fighting man-to-man. Not to mention by the time of Zeta Gundam we have panoramic cockpits and a frame that replicates human movements.
The main reason would be cost as mobile trace system need to be develop from the ground up and the current control system is good enough. Not to mention, a mobile trace system would need a bigger cockpit for the pilot, which requires a total redesign of the chest part of most ms, relocation of systems and possible the generator. Also, cqc is not the norm for most grunt pilots which rely on range weaponary most of the time. And finally, life is cheap in uc.
So basicly the Improved DRAGOON system from Gundam seed Destiny tht was mounted on the Chaos gundam, the Proto Chaos, Destroy and Strike Freedom and Legend Gundams is the way to go if you want to use funnel type wepons. Since it uses a quantum locked comm system so the suit can operate the bits remotely even in an enviroment saturated by N-Jammer interference. Somehow I doubt Sting had spacial awareness like Rau, Ray, or Morgan and Mu. And since Kira was a super coordinator he probably had the potential in his DNA and it needed a lot of outside stimuli to activate (battle with Rau). I think that Rau and Mu are more powerfull and could use the first gen Dragoon system effectively without computer assistance.
I dont care the consequences. If these things give me the ability to bypass my shitty eyesight, put me in the robot. Future me will figure something out
question which new type/ replacement new type is the most powerful. I'm asking about things like innovators and the system from IBO (because I can't spell it) vs new types
i think the exam system could potentially interfer with newtypes as they are much more aware of souls so there would be constant connection between the ppilot and the poor girls soul begging them to end their suffering, which can be very disorienting (see kamille)...
Remember, children can't formulate informed consent, that's why Idon loves kids and univeral reset, and why HADES test polit is a literal war orphan. The Geneva Conventions is just a suggestion.
I think McGillis proved that when the original, proper surgical procedures were used, surviving the surgery wasn’t any more difficult than surviving, say, a knee replacement.
Wait! Wait! Wait! Didnt McGuillis said something about hearing Agnika's voice while piloting Bael?! Could it be that Agnika was a newtype the whole time, and the one who responded to Mika's wish for power was actually a newtype soul trapped inside Barbatos?!
@@emperorhadrian6011imo, new types are the most logical (or at least most fun) explanation for Hashmal’s seemingly Terminator-like seek and destroy attitude towards mankind as a whole. Maybe it was made by a rogue AI or aliens, but within the Gundam oeuvre, I think a group of new types from Jupiter viewing themselves well and truly above, beyond, and separate from humans to be the most likely manufacturers of the AI. And I think they were consumed and destroyed by their creations right before the Calamity War kicked into high gear.
@@ruindal_r-21I think he is more merged with the machine/frame, much the same as Rita and the Phenex, than he is trapped. I think the Bael is like the Phenex, both are built on the full psycho frames from Project Universal Century. I believe the founding families of Gjallarhorn retrieved the 72 psycho frames from wherever Banagehr and Mineva left them in mothball and retrofitted them with new twin reactors and AV systems to battle rogue AI powered mobile armors. I think it’s the mobile armors AIs that have new types trapped within, perhaps in a similar fashion to Ein, or maybe like the poor girl in the EXAM system. The loons from Jupiter get up to some wild stuff in Crossbone. And this would be hundreds of years after that.
True new type weapons, probably not, but remote weapons shouldn't be a problem so long as they're communicating with the ms in a way that isn't jammable like seed's dragoons being sent commands via quantum computers.
Wait, isn't one missing? The Neuro/Learning Computers of the F90 Units. Which did give each unit specific New Type attributes (Amuro's, Char's and Kamille's) and helped with the mission packs. Adding to that the data from Amuro's Rx 78 Core Fighter which was later used, in the Victory era, to make an "Artificial" pilot with New Type Powers.
Newtypes would have the same handicaps as everyone else that uses the Zero System. You can think of the Zero System as a highly advanced chess computer. It uses all of it's available sensors to map out a combat area, and comes up with any and every scenario that one can take to achieve ones goal, weather it be victory, or defeat. It then feeds all of this information directly back to the pilot's brain. The reason so many people go crazy using it is that they vividly hallucinate all of these outcomes, and because that a human brain cannot handle that much sensory information so quickly, and all at once. That, and I am sure seeing every 1/5 scenarios that one hallucinates is them dying has something to do with that as well. The system also does not distinguish between friend, or foe. If the quickest way to win involves you shooting your friend to get the enemy behind them, the system will encourage it as may be seen as the most efficient path to victory. It is up to the pilot to give the Zero System a sort of conscience. Also, there is no time limit on the Zero System; unlike the EXAM, HADES, or NTD that have a five minute timer placed upon them for "pilot safety", the Zero System is always on, always feeding information to the pilot. TLDR: Yes, maybe, kinda, but only if they... Git Gud.
The Zero System is an aggressive assault on the mind which is not something a Newtype wants. Imagine getting that clink sound when you sense someone about to pull the trigger on you and before you can typically respond the way Newtypes would, you’re assaulted with the illusion of the million other moves that are besides the one you already felt coming. By the time you break out of it, the shot fired is either halfway across at best or right in your face at worst. A coordinator might have better odds for it since they seem to have a better grasp on processing information than the average person. What with how they can rewrite entire OS in seconds that are so high-end that naturals can’t operate machines with em.
They have their Zero System at home with Bio Computer from F91 which does feedback the units sensor back to the pilot allows the pilot to feel the MS like his own body minus the prediction AI. Although a limiter was placed for OT to use the system, but only NT pilots are able to use the system full potential. Therefore, it is possible for them to use Zero System on paper. But how proficient of it would depends on the NT we are talking about.
Speaking of systems that tax the pilots to the edge; has there been a video on normal suits, cockpit advancements, or the overall UC tec advancements that were made as mobile suits became powerful and faster to keep the pilots from blacking out or even dying from the G forces put on their bodies?
Unicorn's pilot suit was made solely for Unicorn series. Not only it has psychoframe inside (that's why Banagher can literally call Unicorn in the ep 7), it was made to compensate G forces from Unicorn's thruster power as the Gundam have exceptional speed for MS without Minovsky-related propulsion.
@@seabookarno1664 Thank you for the insight. I know special ones were made and I want to know and see those highlighted but I still wonder about the advancement of the average one. Average as in standard issue to ace, not just hero one off suits.
@@TheOnlyHush I don't know if this can be taken as consideration, but late UC trend to downsize their MSs so they can produce fast and agile MS to dodge lethal beam shot, which I can say not only ace but grunt's suit and cockpit seat also refined for better G resistance. In Victory, V2 is pinacle of oldtype's MS as its Wing of Light was from F99 Record Breaker that initially meant for interplanetary travel made it officially fastest MS in UC without Newtype shenanigans (Phenex), and Usso just use his standard League Militaire's pilot suit so we can assume the seat and pilot suit already fortified for such.
Even though it’s not part of the main universe, wouldn’t the zero system be considered a new type system, especially since wings zero and certain other mobile suits also seem to have a will of their own, along with the pilot, seeming to have abilities, similar to a new type
So these various systems are meant for psychos that want a slight edge in battle by any means necessary. Sounds about right seeing that the black rider and white rider were both used by the infamous black dogs team.
I have a question and hope it can be in one of your next videos but my question is which system is better from the exam system, hades system, trans-am system and the gund-arm system
Do you think Eri could control newtype weaponry? Like, if Prospera installed her into a Sazabi, could she move the funnels? Could suletta get the Qubeley’s permet score high enough to make that happen?
With the Exam system, its not just the gimmick itself but also the pilot needs to be good to survive the system's effects. Probably why Kajima came out better than Nimbus after shanking the insane Efreet pilot with BD3
It also accounts pilot skills. Kajima was just your basic grunt soldier tasked to use a beefed up Gundam Ground Type and did most of the work, and got a sick ass nickname after the 1 year war. Ryo Roots on the other hand is terrible to the point that the AI in his EX-S/S Gundam had to pretend the meatbag inside her (the Gundam) is piloting and didn't do anything.
Could you do a QOTW on the difference between Funnels, Bits, and INCOMS? I know they all serve a similar purpose, but I'm not sure on the difference, especially with Funnels and Bits.
Bits have on board energy generator while funnels require docking to recharge energy, but it kinda confusing when fin funnel have on board generator 😂 INCOM is wired controlled weapon, it is similar to bit but usable to non newtype.
I'm always amazed by how many of these artificial new-type systems have been just kinda shoved into the barely visible corners of the UC. Like, sure I knew about EXAM, HADES, and ARES, but like NITRO and DEMONBLADE AI are new for me.
Most of it probably has to due with how a lot of the tech is riddled with flaws that were even worse than the stuff that most MSV units suffered from. the Anaheim Electronics version of the n_i_t_r_o system is the closest to being safe to put in full production. But considering that the quasi-psycommu system can allow oldtypes to use wire-guided weaponry without the need to mess with their brains, I can see why even the n_i_t_r_o system didn't see much use by comparison.
I have a question, does "Newtype Destroyer Mode" From the Unicorn units in the same category as EXAM/HADES system? I'm not completely familiar with the way U.C units work as I crew up with A.U such as Gundam Wing
2:25. First off: soul. Really? Its the mind, plain and simple but they have to be poetic/spiritual. Second: I'm pretty sure the fact that they take the mind/consciousness of a newtype child into a machine and split/tear it into four pieces to stuff into other machines would breed instability. Its ain't surprising that the Hades System is considered noncanon/blacklist. The tech sound too advance for the OYW UC. Like they saw the Zero System and wanted to have something like that for UC. NITRO system, when you think about it, would need to be calibrated to the pilots specific brain for it to do its job so the side effects are more manageable. My headcanon is the pilot of the Delta Kai brain was luckily suitable for the NITRO system as it was.
I think i would pick the demon blade it's ability to awaken latent newtype abilities is great a roll on the dice . The downside isn't event all that bad only the fact the ai despise cyber newtype to the core. Think there a abomination to life and would actively try to kill them. Either outside the suit or inside the suit by removing the ms limmiter and killing them with the g forces
I have a question what is the difference between the mirage coliode that cloaks and the one that acts as a barrier and whats different between the UC spherical panaramic cockpit and the one in gundam seed freedom
Pilot stress as OT will feel stress out due to the environmental data directly feed into the brain while NT with spacial awareness able to adept to it better.
i'm surprised there isn;t a newtype breeding program or mandatory lifetime conscription for any found newtypes given all the stuff they can get away with
So how did the GM Sniper K9 come in this bc that Machine used it in its Max output with out going though the Same Process to the BD unit 1 or 2 going crazy
Gimme pale rider cavalry! Ill live with microwave brain lol. That said, i dont know why you couldn't potentially tune it per pilot to aid them only when needed, and monitor the brain more closely to prevent damage.
I’ll take my chances with the ARES System Kakarot197 Though If I do not have my chance with that Then I’ll take the Demon Blade instead BTW I thought it was more fake NewTypes systems Like January thought it was more than these strange
When it comes to simulating newtypes, I say cheat by giving the MS an AI (ALICE is the best example I can think of. and that leads into my question. What MS had a dedicated AI and how effective were they?
How does some thing like the HADES or EXAM system compare with the Aliya Vinjana system from IBO? CAN they even be compared? Which system would be a better fit?
AV system is a interface system while EXAM is a performance boost. Both have their own pros and cons. For AV system, the pros is that anyone who undergo the surgery can use them, cutting training time to pilot equipment. But the issue is with the failure rate which might cripple the subject as well as damage nerve system of the pilot if they turn off the limiter for more raw performance. EXAM system focus is to increase the existing pilot performance close to a NT by increase response speed of the pilot aiming to counter against enemy NT pilot with side effects mention in the video. As to which one is better fit, I would say neither as a low level grunt as these systems treat you like a replaceable cog in the machine.
@@trollinoakenshield9822 AV type E does not force overwrite the control from the pilot but gives the power boost. Therefore it is closer to Trans-Am compare to EXAM
@lokix19azxc13 AV type E fully taken control all the MS movement, making it on par with real AV system, however unlike EXAM who attack indiscriminately, AV type E still allowed gaelio to pick his target. It's not power boost because AV type E is also used to assist gaelio walking.
@@trollinoakenshield9822 It is a power boost as it boost the capability above gaelio original piloting skill. Not to mention, he can active/turn off the system at will instead of the EXAM force take control when it was triggered.
I have a genuine question. That has nothing to do with this video but it's something random if you took white glint from armored core 4 answer and an equivalent Gundam which one would win in a fight?
Looking at the pale rider i may get brain damage, but hear me out It's a cool looking mobile suit You have to admit that plus you get a cool power up too while you're at it. Sure, you may be reduced to the mentality of a child, but that's a price to pay for a badass mobile suit
AV system is an interface option to pilot a MS. Assuming they can pilot it like Kimaris in IBO S1 like normal, they would be better than most standard pilots with AV system or not. But against AV system at full performance, they might fall short slightly in the short term, but will out last the other pilot as long as they dont get OTK.
OK... something weird just happend youtube silenced the video and started playing one of the worst AI voices ever to narrate over the vid... It was horrible. Great video as always.
How would it go for an old type using a newtype made suit like the Nu or Unicorn? Would it just function like a hi-spec Ace suit without funnel etc functionality?
For the Nu, we have the Incom ver of the Mass production type Nu Gundam if you want. As for the Unicorn, you still can pilot its unicorn mode like normal, but it would be a shame if some wild NT pass by and went berserk and you get yourself kill by the sudden G force.
it's basically like a regular old guy trying to drive a race car, he can still drive it just fine at slow speeds but you can't expect the old guy to use the race car to it's full potential like a race car driver could.
The Nu Gundam would be perfectly safe to use, but how safe the Unicorn gundams would be is entirely dependent on whether or not something causes the NT-D system to activate. If that happens, an oldtype pilot is pretty much screwed.
The issue is with zeon supply lines are extreamly strained running low on both resource and personal. the most they can do is just to produce a handful of them and unable to field them due to lack of experience pilots, and even if they manage to do so, it only delays the inevitable fall of zeon.
@lokix19azxc13 true but still its a interesting idea you have to admit. Like what if the black tri stars got three to pilot before they fought armro. I mean in war in the pocket we see how one while in the hands of a experienced pilot is able to take on multiple mobile suits and win or what if zeon made the kampfer the main mobile suit.
@@ironbloodangel4112 assuming without breaking the lore, the deployment of the kampfer would be post United maintenance plan and that time its competition would be zaku f2, rick dom 2 and gelgoog in space and gelgoog have a better overall stats so it would not change much. But if kampfer would be deploy earlier before the fall of odessa in place of the dom, the eff might have harder time to take down odessa due to the frequent raids on its supply lines as the kampfer have better penetrative power compare to the dom but that does not change the fact that zeon is still getting out gunned by the eff. As to the black tri star vs armuro in the kampfer instead of the dom, it would not change much if they use their jet stream atk, but if they focus on hit and run tactics, it would give the gundam a run for its money but there are only a handful of weapons capable of delivering the killing blow, mainly the beam saber and the chain mines, which are melee weapons, so they might have been shot by the beam rifle by then and a 50/50 chance at best in a melee fight with the gundam.

All I understand are basically EXAM and HADES Systems gives the pilots either a brain damage or mental health issues.
Or instant death
@lucasgoncalves1390 Exactly.
EXAM only gives mental damage, HADES does both
just use another brain for the hades system to take all the stress/load just like the alaya vijnana system type E
@@paulalagar892 who would be the donator?
The EXAM system is tough to handle, but so is the Zero system. Heero had lots of training to handle Wing Zero, but it took him a while to control it. For the EXAM system however, it's a different story.
If I remember right, the ZERO system was dumping both overall combat data, and its own predictive suggestions directly into a pilot’s brain.
The kind of transmitter required to do that without any cybernetic implants probably played merry hell with a person’s neurons all by itself, yeah?
@@Asmodeus696Not wrong because nearly every pilot that used it went insane to one degree or another
@@Asmodeus696 sounds like the brains getting microwaved 😂
Kakarot: You probably DON'T want to pilot one of these machines
Me: Haha!
According to UC engage Quasi Psycommu works by using recorded Newtype maneuvers.
That would would explain why its actions seem simplified compared to a real psycommu system. It's basically machine learning combining the pilot's mental commands with the newtype data to approximate what the pilot is asking the system to do.
Here’s a question:
Why wasn’t the ALICE system from the UC expanded on, or even mass produced?
It was a huge success, after all.
I think it was the cost to produce it, and the fact that Alice developed morality.
Can we entrust humanity to a quasi immortal being of our own creation, especially when we still couldn't coexist with eachother without violent and fatal escalations of deadly force?
Not to mention it would be a narrative dead end (story wise) as it would be machine VS machine with less and less stakes.
The thing is they never give the reason why and, given the success of ALICE, you’d think that success and lack of follow up would at least be addressed.
Souls and machines aren't compatible with each other...
Phenex: hold this soul of a bird for me, we need to talk about it
Wow this all just made me realize that IBO borrowed ALOT of elements from these systems for their universe
The AV system is basically their version of the Exam system/HADES system, right down to evem forcing the AV procedures onto war orphams making them basically Cyber New Types and the Gundam Frames limiter removal mode (complete with red eyes) is 100% like Ares/Hades wth 🤔
thats pretty common for the alternate universes: they all get inspirations from UC(its actually almost the exact same things but changing the names). blueprint on making a gundam series: 1- put people into space long enough til they develop better reflexes and 6th sense.
The Half has no physical problems it's just a pain to manage since you need manage flying the MA and do multiple target locks with the wired bits
It's the best option especially since you don't need physical mods and you won't outright die, but it's more like you'll lose yourself as a person even in the best case scenario for extended use
Edit: to add to this, in last sun Joleon Day was kidnapped and was forced to use NITRO, which affected him so strongly that he couldn't tell between ally and foe
I identify myself as a GM Ground Type.
For me, it's the RTX-440 Ground Assault Type Guntank
Most of the artificial Newtype crap just ends up ruining people. Naturally becoming Newtypes is the only proper way forward.
True but even then being a Newtype sucks (being used as a living weapon and treated like a tool instead of a human being).
@shauqiharris2772 Very accurate. Newtypes are supposed to be the hope of the universe, mankind decided to use them as cudgels.
Man Zeon Deikun really was ahead of his time.
Not really, method that used by Titan's labs and Axis Zeon were crude and unfinished. Gyunei was an artificial newtype but he does not harbor mental instability like previous Kyouka Ningens thanks to Nanai's research
@seabookarno1664 They got there after a lot of pain and grief. And Gyunei was still far from the ideal Newtype.
Yazan still alive n kicking even after CCA, he is last seen working as bodyguard for the gundam team.
I think Yazan was just down on his luck in ZZ gundam, and not taking the fall of the Titans well.
@@henryfleischer404 WDYM? he spared with char and live to tell the tale in Return of Johnny Riden.....

And finally, life is cheap in uc.
hahaha the audio track is so wild, great video bro

I think that Rau and Mu are more powerfull and could use the first gen Dragoon system effectively without computer assistance.

question which new type/ replacement new type is the most powerful.
Only new types survive the Alaya-Vijnana nano machine interface surgery, because they’re who it was designed for.
Interesting theory
I think it’s the mobile armors AIs that have new types trapped within, perhaps in a similar fashion to Ein, or maybe like the poor girl in the EXAM system. The loons from Jupiter get up to some wild stuff in Crossbone. And this would be hundreds of years after that.
NTD, God help you.
Question: Would the alaya vijnana system allow a pilot to use new type weapons other than the wire guided ones?
True new type weapons, probably not, but remote weapons shouldn't be a problem so long as they're communicating with the ms in a way that isn't jammable like seed's dragoons being sent commands via quantum computers.
Give the Barbatos the Akatsuki’s space backpack….profit?
Fun fact the neu ziel half control system was also the basis for the quasi psychomu system
Where would the zero system fit in this discussion about systems
Wait, isn't one missing? The Neuro/Learning Computers of the F90 Units. Which did give each unit specific New Type attributes (Amuro's, Char's and Kamille's) and helped with the mission packs. Adding to that the data from Amuro's Rx 78 Core Fighter which was later used, in the Victory era, to make an "Artificial" pilot with New Type Powers.
Would a new type be able to handle the zero system
TLDR:
Yes, maybe, kinda, but only if they...
I don't agree with all of you because the zero system takes in the pilots skills as well so it might magnifier a new types power
@@TheHiddenBossi dont think so, zero system will make coordinator gone mental, because even perfect coordinator still got easily brainwashed 😂
Yeah i wouldnt want to pilot a mobile suit named after the 4 horseman of the apocalypse
And they say Zudah is not safe…

Where Does NT-D fit into all of this?
NTD is the extension of Psycoframe technology, a totally different branch of technology from the EXAM system.
It's actually closer to real psycommu system tech, due to the use of psychoframe.
Power comes at price nuff said.
Could you do a video on other cockpit systems in Gundam?
Like the Zero and Flash systems?
At this point, with how often the Suits take control over their pilots. Just build it as a robot instead of a mecha.
Do you think Eri could control newtype weaponry? Like, if Prospera installed her into a Sazabi, could she move the funnels? Could suletta get the Qubeley’s permet score high enough to make that happen?
The only good thing about GBO2 are the easy thumbnails you can make with the suit art lol
I'll stick with the quasi-psycommu system, my track record in GBO2 has shown me that incoms are my best friends.
With the Exam system, its not just the gimmick itself but also the pilot needs to be good to survive the system's effects. Probably why Kajima came out better than Nimbus after shanking the insane Efreet pilot with BD3
BD3 seems to have a limiter compare to the BD2 which may have increase Kajima's chance of survival. But all it comes down to luck.
EXAM system with a Newtype? Possible conflict between the resident soul and the pilot in question.
Could you do a QOTW on the difference between Funnels, Bits, and INCOMS? I know they all serve a similar purpose, but I'm not sure on the difference, especially with Funnels and Bits.
Bits have on board energy generator while funnels require docking to recharge energy, but it kinda confusing when fin funnel have on board generator 😂
INCOM is wired controlled weapon, it is similar to bit but usable to non newtype.
But considering that the quasi-psycommu system can allow oldtypes to use wire-guided weaponry without the need to mess with their brains, I can see why even the n_i_t_r_o system didn't see much use by comparison.
have you or would you do a video on iron bloods system, age's x-rounder system & wings zero system?
There were no newtypes in Wing but wouldve love to see the zero system in here due to it kinda messing with your head aswell
I have a question, does "Newtype Destroyer Mode" From the Unicorn units in the same category as EXAM/HADES system? I'm not completely familiar with the way U.C units work as I crew up with A.U such as Gundam Wing
I don't think that anyone would like to become a cyber newtype.
The 4 horses of the Apocalypse.
"Sanity is overrated!"
I’d like to know what would the universal century look like if operation British never happened.
What would happen if a pilot like heero yuy or zechs who mastered the zero system were to pilot those units?
So what would the Biocomputer of the Formula series do with both oldtypes and newtypes in general?
Pilot stress as OT will feel stress out due to the environmental data directly feed into the brain while NT with spacial awareness able to adept to it better.
i'm surprised there isn;t a newtype breeding program or mandatory lifetime conscription for any found newtypes given all the stuff they can get away with
I wonder when RX-80 Rider Mobile Suits will come to the Gundam Card Game.
You fools, the true Newtype producing system is Bright Noa's right hand
So how did the GM Sniper K9 come in this bc that Machine used it in its Max output with out going though the Same Process to the BD unit 1 or 2 going crazy
I just want to live in space...
Gimme pale rider cavalry! Ill live with microwave brain lol. That said, i dont know why you couldn't potentially tune it per pilot to aid them only when needed, and monitor the brain more closely to prevent damage.
I’ll take my chances with the ARES System Kakarot197
Though If I do not have my chance with that Then I’ll take the Demon Blade instead
BTW I thought it was more fake NewTypes systems Like January thought it was more than these strange
After reading the Aggressor manga, your chances with ARES is pretty good since she does care about her pilot's life.

I'm surprised they didnt try to make a Mobile Doll type drone mobile suit piloted by AI.
When it comes to simulating newtypes, I say cheat by giving the MS an AI (ALICE is the best example I can think of.
and that leads into my question. What MS had a dedicated AI and how effective were they?
For me... Just trying to get Slapped by Bright Noa.
So... What happened when new type pilot a ms that specifically for old type that has system like exam system and hadis system?
EXAM is more akin to AV system type E. Both take over the MS.
So does the NITRO system give yoy cyber newtype abilites in suit or after prolonged use permamently?
Isn't the final version of these attempts the NT-D System that was in the Unicorn family of Gundams?
NTD and the EXAM system are in a different branch of the technological development tree.
In short, you die or you go crazy
Some of the exam system sounds like the zero system
And how was a cyber newtype created?
Mk ultra type beat
I have a genuine question. That has nothing to do with this video but it's something random if you took white glint from armored core 4 answer and an equivalent Gundam which one would win in a fight?
Looking at the pale rider i may get brain damage, but hear me out It's a cool looking mobile suit You have to admit that plus you get a cool power up too while you're at it. Sure, you may be reduced to the mentality of a child, but that's a price to pay for a badass mobile suit
How would a new type handle pilot systems from other Gundam verses. Like the Alaya-Vinyana?
AV system is an interface option to pilot a MS. Assuming they can pilot it like Kimaris in IBO S1 like normal, they would be better than most standard pilots with AV system or not. But against AV system at full performance, they might fall short slightly in the short term, but will out last the other pilot as long as they dont get OTK.
Here is my question of the week what if another Zeon ace found operation v instead of Char
OK... something weird just happend youtube silenced the video and started playing one of the worst AI voices ever to narrate over the vid... It was horrible.
Great video as always.
Saw all the GBO2 models and thought kakarot was gonna play gbo2...
What game was that during the exam explanation?
Imagine building a mobile suit that's so strong it makes you autistic
I have a question of for you.
Why didn't zeon deploy the kampfer behind enemy lines as sabotage or gurilla units.
So I become angrier, you say 🤔🤔
