I’m glade he Represented Black Males in a Positive light🤓
Im always a bit weary of poles but if true, 80% of black people support kaw enforcement, like I said, im not betting my life on this and polling data can't be trusted within a certain margin of error.
There’s plenty that do. They just don’t end up on UA-cam. Only the train wrecks get publicity.
@@adamgilmore7081 This. The problem is that, much like cops, minorities are usually only shown in a bad light in many places.

"Hey man you fit the description of a robber wearing hot pink shorts and a lime green tank top"
Not a bad idea at all.
this is why sometimes the media can't be trusted at all
In fairness to the media, they are meant to report on things that are interesting and unusual. Newsworthy, in other words. When something is common and unremarkable, there's really not much point in reporting on it. That said, I have seen newspapers report on outstanding members of the community (particularly local newspapers), and sometimes that does include reporting on police officers.
Sometimes?? You should trust no one and nothing apart from your family. Everything and everyone else must bring evidence.
@@rodh1404 That is true but there are some news outlets that will only show cops in a bad light(evil and racist mainly). They'll also never speak out against the anti-police narrative.
@@danieltakawi9919 The issue is nothing gets solved correctly and the media can be very one-sided. For real you can look at both sides and ask your friends online/offline about anything. Most will only hear one side and with strangers, on the internet, they will eat up everything without looking to all sides or just waiting for more information to come up.
No one will look at the pros and cons of the situation. They just want to hear about the crazy things without teaching people how to be safe and how to protest legally and in a smart matter.
@@danieltakawi9919 They were many cases from a Family side when it wasn't all the truth on the media. I see many times the Family or Family member was in the wrong and don't wanna admit their faults. Not saying you shouldn't post it but I rather have my family members post it when enough from both sides is possible was given so I could post it on a public media.
This is why I respect 99% of cops, can’t let the 1% dictate the entire profession.
....and I bet the Police respect 98% for the same reason.... bet their criteria is even more severe.

This literally happens all the time and this is typically how it goes...
Yeah like it’s not wrong and most of these cases are proven to be legal
I'd say the overwhelming majority of interactions with police don't even involve getting out the handcuffs. However, I think it was a reasonable precaution in this situation and I don't blame the officer for doing it.
As I've mentioned in other posts, there are literally over 1/2 a million full time police officers in the USA, and that results in millions of interactions between police officers and citizens every single day. With that number of officers and that many interactions, there are bound to be some occasions where the officer does something wrong. But statistically speaking, the number of times that happens is almost nonexistent and even if the citizen has done something wrong it's a relatively peaceful encounter.
Shhh you're going to upset that clown LeBron
Too much kumbaya crap. Just tell him he fits the description completely. Tell him he's not free to go yet. Then thank him for his cooperation and go look for the real suspect.

@@craigfrazier1295 There are measures that must be taken in order to ensure the saftey of everyone involved. There was 100% reason for handcuffs, as it could of easily been the true suspect and the officers have no way of knowing this until further investigation which requires them to detain the man. Also, the four police cars is just what tends to happen. When something is occuring, it is usually very common for other officers to show up. I appreciate this officer so much. The fact that he took the time to reassure the detainee that he was 'not going to let anything happen to him' really made a difference. His whole demeanor is calming.
Unfortunately, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time, but the key here is he was compliant and didn't cause a scene, so, everything ended happily.
No, the key is that NOTHING he said was good enough. He was fully compliant and they still cuffed him. He provided ID, they didn't care. He answered every question, and they stood around with arms crossed making excuses. It doesn't take 15 minutes for people NOT fucking around to look at a photo and recognize it's not of the person they've cuffed.
Seriously, everyone just keep parroting "matched the description" without proposing A SINGLE THING he could have done to avoid ANY of this.
@@Bureaucromancer you mean the photo they didnt have? or atleast the ones that stopped him

Doesn't matter what he said, he could've easily been the actual suspect and was lying to them, their job is to verify whether or not they have the right person and verification takes time. i am the son of a lieutenant and the nephew of a deputy chief. I was detained by police for an hour because i was in an area of a crime and fit the description. I was not happy but complied with the officers. When the witness showed up in another patrol car she said it was not me and i was let go. I am 100% white and was not mad at the cops.
I remember I was once stopped for fitting the description of an individual responsible for an assault at a gas station. They were looking for someone in a Ford pickup truck with a snow plow. They asked for my ID, and then an officer from the next town over (super close) pulled up and talked to me. He told me what they were looking for, and just asked if he could see my hands. I had a big nasty scab, but obviously it well into the healing process. They thanked me for my patience and I was back on my way. I wish people would just realize that their attitude has the single greatest effect on the tone of the interaction.

@Im me I 100% agree. The gentleman and the officers handled the situation with respect of each other. Which lead to everyone walking away without incidence.
The extra cars and lights is what would make me feel nervous and I'm white - lol. This young man was cooperative and gave the police no reason to be hostile in return. White or black - ya just shouldn't act out, if ya want things to go smooth. We can guarantee a bad situation if we make it one. Many years ago when I was like, maybe 17 or 18 I was walking at the strip mall and three squad cars come rolling up. 2 cops went in a store, 2 cops headed down the walkway the opposite direction from where I stood - and the last 2 cops stood about 15 - 20 feet from me, staring me down. They never said a word, never came after me - just stared really hard. I figured they were expecting me to bolt or something. I just nodded toward them and walked off. This was in the 70s and bad cops were more predominant than they are now. Luckily none of those were the bad variety.
Same and I’m American (Indian American mostly American but I’m where tanish) if that happened I would of course be scared lol but not hate the police
It would make me nervous as well but then the cop explained to him that its shift change and that is the reason there were so many there at the time and half of them were relieving the guys that initially stopped him. It's all about how you handle and present yourself.
Hey there, *ImTheDaveman* , 👋.....Speaking of being nervous because of the proliferation of cars and lights, it reminds me of a scripture in the Bible where the Apostle Paul is admonishing Christians to whom he's writing, to be respectful of and rightfully comply with the authority of government officials. The principle is that God has set human governance, generally, in place to keep order in society at large. The apostle addresses the issue of fearing those officials (incl. law enforcement) by saying that there is no reason to fear them if one is behaving lawfully, but there is a legitimate reason to be fearful when one is not behaving lawfully. You can expect to be dealt with accordingly if you behave unlawfully or criminally. ----The reference in the Bible is the book of Romans, chapter 13.

@@dcjosh93 Hey man, I get it. I was just surprised to see a CAC. It was more of a "stream of consciousness" comment, than anything else.
I like how even tho he is detained, the cop kept his live stream going, now that Transparency
I'll give him that. But the poor guy was scared. Trust needs to be rewarded with trust. He trusted them enough to be detained without resisting, they could trust him enough to not put handcuffs on him, or at least remove them promptly once they saw he had no warrants.

When your sleep paralysis demon does you a solid by closing your front door

😂😭😂
😂💀😂💀
That's some good policing.
All it takes is RESPECT on both sides.
Love this 👍❤️
He was more understanding being m.p. in the army now if everyone had a better understanding which I thank you for officer 401 with every bit of education I've learned from you over the years since then any interaction I've had with l.e.o. was smooth and rather pleasant.
I see 2 basic things -- The police were friendly, respectful and professional. They were careful not to do anything to escalate. The detained person was the same way. Understanding, cooperative and also friendly. Everyone was friendly, nobody was swearing, all were polite and the police were inclusive in their conversation with the detained... The Detained was the same way. Polite, cooperative and understanding. When one of those things breaks down is when problems happen.
This actually just happened in San Antonio you should look into it and give us your take
Love how they take the opportunity to actually talk to him and explain everything and try to teach him something ;)
Amazing officers.
I've had this happen to me before, it was inconvenient but they caught the guy they were looking for and I went on about my way
This encounter was appropriate and respectful. The second suspect if he turned out to be the person who committed the offense just goes to show how unreliable witnesses accounts of an incident can be when under stress. The second individual was not wearing a tank top style shirt, his shorts were gray and not black, nor was he wearing shoes but instead sandals. This is a great lesson for law enforcement and lawyers that show that witness testimony is not always reliable. Luckily in this instance there was security cameras but had there not been the first man may have been facing a very expensive legal defense with almost a 0 chance that the state would cover his attorney fees. It's a sad and unfortunate truth that many innocent individuals are locked up but if everyone acts as respectful as this subject and officers did then there's a near 0 chance of any violence taking place from the officers or the subject. Also with this level of calmness and respect It's highly unlikely an individual will be falsely imprisoned. Thanks for the video and commentary.
Grabbed a radio by the antennae! The Sgt. needs to demoted ASAP. lol.
Awesome video, thanks. I was a little surprised you didn't bleep out when he shared his address. I know he didn't share the city/state, but it wouldn't be that hard for someone to find him. I agree with the other commenters that there's no way this makes it to TV, which is really unfortunate.
Was in a similar situation. Long story short the officer is doing his job and being a homie!
I definitely do not mind paying taxes to pay officers like him. It's a shame that in these times, officers assume that every person they detain is the guilty offender.
Please spread this, Well done Sir
Absolutely fantastic
Should just be titled, "Wrong American Man Detained by Police."
But he is African American?
Exactly hate thata stupid term
@r_ elentless01 I am African American because I am from African decent but live/born in America, u don’t choose what we’re called
@@williamswann420 not all black ppl are African lol
That dude is ecstatic that he's still breathing 😳
Such professionalism and all around cool cops. I was pulled over last year the cop just wanted to know more about my bike he was interested in riding and love the sport bike, the start of summer he contacted me through my you tube ch and wanted to ride we are now riding buddy's. SO THERE ARE AWESOME COPS OUT THERE.
They should lift up this man, he was very respectful and cooperative. This is how things should go. Very beautiful. Thank you God for protecting everyone’s life’s involved
That's awesome they worked it out like men and everyone went on about their day. If only everybody was like this with cop interactions
This cop was chill. He is invited to the cookout
From the get-go this was handled professionally on both sides even after arresting the legit suspect.
Thank y'all for doing what's supposed to be done!
I like to send my city PD holiday cards thanking them for their service with a funny-weird story and a written prayer for their blessings and safety.
