How to burn visceral fat:
1. Fermented food
2. Carnivore diet
3. Sprints
4. Resistance training
5. Fasting (until autophagy is better)
6. Less jogging
Thank you
thanks for listing bro
What fermented food can you have on a carnivore diet?
Resistance training increases autophagy
Kimchi? Sauerkraut?@@samuelpearson
saw Dr Sean 2 months ago, my changes so far are staggering. He knows what he's talking about
Only the best actually come to work with me David. The best results are yet to come. 👊👊👊
I agree 100% david
Yeah and what does it cost?
@@user-su6nt3en3nconsidering I no longer have sleep apnea, chronic aches, fatigue, brain fog, etc…and now experience vigor and vitality; the cost to benefit ratio is heavily in my favor. I’ve got one life and I don’t extend to wear adult diapers at 80.
Have some patience his wonderful
I have been following r O Mara for a while. I also have been sprinting to reduce visceral fat and optimize performance. It works!
yes it does! We need to get him on the Joe Rogan Experience!
That Dr Sean Omara and the researcher he worked with in 2015 had their own MRI was the key! What great research they did!! That's the sort of research we need done!! I agree with Mark Bell the system that creates research papers is a pile of crap sometimes, it could be better, there could be better research being done that leads to better research papers. Consumer Power, is consumers hopefully can make them if we get organised a little bit better. Andre
You guys have been on a roll with the good health uploads
The comment directly below mine saying same… I’m just elaborating.
I’d like the doc to make his protocol * factors* more explicit. He’s coming across well in general principles but weak in designing specifics for oneself - especially the training specifics. For example, is it the biomechanics specifically of sprinting or the physiological intensity that makes it so helpful? Could rowing or kettlebells fill in just as well (I’ve got clients who absolutely cannot sprint), plus outdoor sprinting in urban environments is pretty much impossible.
We can’t really cruise around to coops finding fermented concoctions… what is a good plan for consuming fermented foods by usual means, ie., the supermarket. Greek yogurt? Sauerkraut? Japanese pickles? Taking probiotics? What?
Are you advocating for pure carnivore or ketogenic or paleo? Can’t really tell.
Or do I need to experiment with all these factors and just keep getting MRI’s ??
What should my STRATEGIC game plan (to reference Jocko Willink) be for optimizing elimination of VF. And, unless my pee is green and I can see my pulse am I “not there yet”?
And, above all, it sounds to me that going 50% of your life in fasting mode would likely cut all kinds of fat… that’s a really tough standard.
Would IF be sufficient? What about ketogenic without fasting? Part of why we can’t get control over our health is because the advice is so muddled…
Each person is different… OK. But how do you calibrate this for yourself??
Yes, you can watch 20 of his videos and not get the answers to any of your questions.
He explains the full protocol, time and time again, answering every question you asked, on his Instagram and in other videos.
Also, his e-book consolidates in one place the different factors in his protocol.
Try kim chi, sauerkraut, and its not too hard to make your own fermented veggies with redmonds salt and water. Look up videos on how to make fermented veggies. I just started doing it and not too bad just takes time.
When I was 63 went Keto I had Ed, Enlarge Prostate, and pee issues. All this improved but when I went Carnivore one year ago it improved even more. Now I doJacobs Ladder Machine in lieu of sprints and it has improved dramatically. And morning boners and peeing standing up are the norm again. Still need to improve and I also lift weights 15 hours a week. I also fast 3 days every month. It all takes time but everybody can come back if they put their mind to it.
Holy cow! I'm only 10 minutes into this video and I can 100% relate to this guy because I had the SAME issues, plus some. I was diagnosed with Barretts Esophagus and had scopes every 3 months, T2D, Sleep Apnea, enlarged prostate, brain fog, etc.
Been doing Carnivore(ish) for years now and it has helping tremendously, but always looking to be even better. Can't wait to hear the rest of this interview!
Man said Rogan was full of disease. Rogan should have him on, and then implement the protocol. Lets see if his rather large midsection shrinks and his head gets smaller.
Dr Sean definitely needs to be on Rogan

This guy is interesting. He is onto some very good science, that hopefully will become main stream. 75% owhat he's claiming seems to be accurate, the remaining 25% is his throwing spaghetti at the wall to see what sticks ie surfers drink salt water that allows them to consume honey. IMHO surfing increases exercise and vita D goes off the chart.
Remember Guys... MEN.. if you start taking testosterone..because your NATURUAL testosterone level is low.. your body (which is capable of producing it's own).. will stop producing it..Men.. change your life, chage your diet and exercise.. You might be super surprised as to what you can do naturally. Men over 70.. yes this become more difficult.. because of not just age, but because you've allowed your body to get so far out of shape..by the horrible food you've been eating.. told to eat.. and lack of exercise.
He has tons of videos on the subject
Loss of Collegen/Elastin and the loss of bone as we age.. generally more predominate in women. Most pronounced in women around 40 - during the dredded menopause time.. The beauty hormone estrogen, the lost of it is most noted as noting changes in facial appearance.. Fat pads are greatly lost in the face.. along with the direct damage of UV.. UV breaks collagen and elastin down.
Why doesn't this Doctor contact Christina Applegate and Selma Blair they desperately need someone with some sense to help them.
exactly what i was thinking
Yes!!
Dr Sean O'Mara on the Power Project, how good is that combo! Hilarious.

Why does Sean start to almost whisper at 46:46? Like he's telling a secret 😄
Does apple cider vinegar help eliminate visceral fat??
No. Change of diet to protein n fermented vegetables like sauerkraut and naturally fermented pickles, leafy greens n non starchy vegetables.
Weight training and H.I.I.T. Training; which is high intensity interval training.
You don't have to only run you can do it on any piece of equipment you like. Bike, elliptical, rowing machine, etc. Do a warm up n at least 3 shorts bursts as fast as you r able for around 30 to 60 seconds. Then do a cool down. I believe at least 2xs per week. Those 3 things should reduce visceral fat according to this doctor.

Very interesting 👌 👍 🤔
Is there another workout besides sprinting, for those that don't have a treadmill or bike? Can jump rope sprints do it?
Not sure if others would agree but you might consider doing full squats as fast as you can. Maybe 25 to 50 reps, whatever you're capable of. You'll definitely be breathing hard afterwards.
About to go joy mode on that joint 😏😂
Optimal levels of testosterone as with those on TRT has been shown to lower visceral fat.
Of course if you have a shitty diet then testosterone may not be beneficial for less visceral fat levels.
Awesome content but I would guess his white hair and lack of subctanous healthy facial fat is due to over sun exposure, living in a tropical country I do notice that the people that expose a lot to the sun get not only more wrinkles, but also go Grey faster.
Great discussion, gentlemen. Ha, this should have an adults only warning though.
Awesome 😎👍
Time to have Jack Kruse on!
Think Joe spoke about doing growth hormone and that’s the reason for his face changes.
16:48 why? There's a majority of people that are more concerned with making a few more dollars for their fancier car or another vacation property or the newest $$$$$$ TV etc, and working 60, 80, 100 hrs a week instead of saying no overtime or extra shift, I'm going to get an extra 1hr of sleep and spend 1hr at the gym or making a healthy meal. They'll quicker order off the dollar menu on their way to go into work a 12 or 16hr shift, then just watch TV for 45 minutes when they get home cuz they're so exhausted from work and not eating to fuel their bodies.
I don't use the word bounce, I use the word throb or pulsate
I guess that explains why I feel pulses in my fingertips and my temple and oftentimes you can see the pulse in my fingers
Ha. If you saw (and sorry not sharing) it’s no throb or pulse it’s a big bounce brother. Get one and you’ll agree.
@@DrSeanOMara well if you read what I said, I already have one, and I wad talking about the language I use when talking to women, I refer to it as a throb or a pulse
I'm in my thirties and I've never not had that bounce.
@@LatimusChadimushmmm I suspect that depends on the woman. Going to guess many or most women would prefer bounce but recognize the sensitive subject matter. You are a rare male if you maintained a “throb” into your thirties….especially if it’s an authentic bounce. The goal is lifelong bouncing. 👊
@@DrSeanOMara you are still missing the point that I said that I use those words. You are confusing word choice when flirting and painting a picture with actual action.
This guy should be a politician because he for hours and never gives you an answer
I was just thinking the same thing
The answer was diet. Low/no carb, Keto or Carnivore. Sprinting and weight training, not distance and cardio because they both increase cortisol. Fasting for autophagy.
Yeah he doesn’t spit it out right away in this one, but it’s all there.
He said diet, crediting fermented foods.
I’ve watched several of his videos and incorporated many of his recommendations and dramatically changed my life. I have not watched the whole video but doing what he preaches has made my abs visible for the first time AND the bounce in the erection is for real and I’m 61. If he meanders in this video check out some of his on his page. In under thirty minutes he discusses the basics and shows credible befores and after.
Just went to do some sprints and pulled a muscle round 2, I was better off doing resistance training lol
Don't go 100% on sprints

How the fuck i wanna pay this shit😅
I was wondering why Simon Cowell was talking about visceral fat at first glance
Is it me or does it sound like I’m getting medical advice from Owen Wilson?

Come on Mark Bell ask him the questions on how to get rid of visceral fat this was a straight lame duck show
Did you turn off early? They did talk about this.
you get visceral fat from a sedentary lifestyle, I like overall what this guy is saying but his Joe Rogan examples are ridiculous. Dude needs to find a better talking point, Joe Rogan spends his spare time working out and he eats healthier than the average athlete.
He didn’t say why he was unhealthy but he knows why and was just trying outline some issues without bashing joes choice to pursue trt hgh ect. Doc did mention that trt to can be troublesome and I guarantee you that he’s onto something because Joe Rogan walks around with a turtle shell over his stomach
Very long run, very short slide. Geel like I wasted valuable time listening to this.
Wow, how misguided. Fecal Transplants, my arse 😂
Joe Rogan takes his health n fitness very seriously..he consults the specialists in the field n he’s much much smarter than this guy too. 🙄
😆 not really! Even joe recognized that he's out on carbs path even if he was better overall with carnivore diet and that he wants to return to this.
Joe does take his health seriously but that doesn’t mean he is healthy. I don’t believe he is. One MRI of his body would start him on a crusade that I predict would save millions of lives. I wish someone could help me help him. I agree though he is likely way more intelligent than I am. He excels there for sure.
Lmao brogan smarter than a doctor...sure

Look up Grounding or Earthing. The reason the surfers are so healthy may be because of the Grounding benefits to their body. The ocean must be grounded along with the beach surface. They are always barefooted, thus Grounding their bodies to the earth.
I'm guessing the massive calorie burn from surfing and the amount of time spent in cold water and the amount of energy required to keep the body warm probably has a little something to do with it as well 🤭
The information is out there but only certain types of people will go find it. Its like a form of survival of the smartest most resourceful people.

Hey, I'm Jonathan Griffiths, a 28-year-old with a BSc in Human Nutrition from Bournemouth, Dorset. My journey as an amateur bodybuilder has been unique due to a fused spine from a rugby injury at 14 and my autism. Despite these hurdles, I've found incredible success on the carnivore diet over the past four years, after other pain relief methods failed. I have since competed twice as a carnivore bodybuilder, with my recent showing on June 2nd 2024 where I placed first against an extremely competitive line-up. I am going to the British finals to try and earn my pro card. Meanwhile, I have had my spine fused in 2022, and various procedures to try and reduce the pain I am in. The carnivore diet is my only option to try and thrive, and I love it!
My diet mainly includes beef, salmon, chicken, eggs, cheese, milk, and butter. I avoid fruits, veggies, grains, nuts, seeds, oils, and sugars. I drink water, coffee, and bone broth. No calorie counting here, just focusing on around 300 grams of protein and fat each day for the past 4.5 years.
In the beginning, I lost 5 pounds and felt a surge in energy, focus, and calmness. I woke up refreshed, with no cravings or GI issues. My workouts stayed strong, with better muscle pumps, vascularity, and faster recovery.
The diet eased the pain and stiffness in my spine, giving me more freedom and comfort. It reduced my need for medications and improved my autism-related symptoms, like anxiety and mood swings. My social skills and communication also got better.
Blood tests before and after the diet showed my liver and kidney damage from a virus had healed. My cholesterol was stable, blood pressure improved, and blood sugar levels stayed low. My liver and kidney functions were normal, with no nutrient deficiencies or hormonal issues.
This diet has been eye-opening, challenging many common dietary beliefs. I've learned that meat is highly nutritious and satisfying, and plants aren't essential or particularly beneficial for me. This is especially relevant given the genetic and metabolic traits seen in people with autism.
I've stuck to the carnivore diet, with occasional treats like 'Hot Pot' and Korean BBQ, which I can cook myself at restaurants. On my UA-cam channel 'Carnivore Muscle,' I share my carnivore lifestyle, training tips, nutritional advice, and recipes, building a community of fellow carnivores and inspiring others to try this way of life.
I fully recommend the carnivore diet to anyone looking to improve their health, fitness, and well-being, especially fellow bodybuilders and those with spinal conditions or autism. In my view, it's the best way to enhance both body and mind. 💪🥩🚀
Wow thats a great Comment carnivore-muscle!! Back injury at that scale at 14 got me fascinated!!
@@LobsterMobility it's not easy, I promise 🙏🏼

Besides kimchi and sauerkraut, what other fermented foods do you recommend? I'm doing carnivore and I love it!
@@Merf314 I wouldn't touch kimchi, too many potential issues. In order of preference and benefit, I've found these best periodically: kefir, pickled gherkins, sauerkraut. All only from the refrigerated section of the store, unpasteurised.

Sprints
Less calories in and more calories burned simple. You are just someone who wants it gone asap since I would assume this isn’t the first time hearing the solution. You just are looking for the shortcut which doesn’t exist. Eat less calories and weight train and some sort of cardio. Get your Macros specifically protein when trying to lose weight.

Alternative routes to nutritional lifestyle success that seem unconventional are the key to a healthy future for "the people."
Feels silly to say "unconventional." But being healthy and caring about your nutrition and fitness has become uncommon among the commons, unfortunately.
It takes conversation like this to occur and consistent attention to the needed changes in medical training. And helping to educate people/patients/providers properly.
Grateful to have all-around healthy conversations of quality. Thank you all for your much needed time and service dedicated to sharing the experience and knowledge 🙏

Dr Sean Omara, you’re from my area, Wash DC, so maybe that’s why you’re my favorite researcher? You and Dr Jack Kruse and Dr Anthony Chaffee. You 3 have changed my life forever. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. My visceral fat is leaving my body thanks so much to your UA-cam interviews. Question. ❓❓ Dr Chaffee strongly advocates carnivore only. That’s me now with the exception of coffee as my only plant. Why doesn’t he include fermented plants? From listening to you, it seems as though I need to add fermented plants in immediately. What are my consequences from contributing 100% carnivore with zero fermented plants?
*I've known this for several years and have to wonder what role the stem cells produced in visceral fat also play in this.* The quality of those stem cells they produce is probably very poor when there is excessive visceral fat.
*The studies using really intense, sudden and short duration burst exercise but repeatedly performed for workouts as well as really intense fasts I've seen show the reversal or remission of various diseases and even the generation of new neural pathways that are beneficial in countless ways.*
I suspect the fasts resets processes with their own habits in how they do things due to the consistency of an unhealthy diet and lifestyle.

The only other thing he says he does is super long fasting EVERY week. He never ever explains any real plan for getting rid of visceral fat. The majority of people aren't going to pay thousands for MRIs of their visceral fat. What doc is going to work with you in any typical town to figure it out?

Agreed that rogans face change isn't all caused from aging. But it's not visceral fat either. Rogans facial change is from test/growth hormone use. imo.
He's not wrong about the impact of the scans. I was already concerned by my high blood pressure at the time but it was getting a DEXA that was my real "oh ****" moment that caused me to make immediate changes.
This whole inflammation in the face thing is quite interesting. People still think I'm in my early twenties, as long as I keep my hair short and you don't see the few gray hairs I have haha but I still feel like I'm 19 I still move like I'm 19 and the fact that I'm almost 35 and still don't have a single ring around my neck is probably a really good indicator that I'm low in the visceral fat area. I was never one to drink and I got away from seed oils as soon as I learned about them many years ago so that helps. I've always been active, even when I had three more inches around the waist I still had a visible six-pack and I've never not had a visible six-pack
