Well that was a Positive outcome with no negativity. Great Job Kevin! As usual.
Haha, I see what you did there.
Awesome Kieth. My tractor is the reverse type. I know what you are saying. God Bless.
Hey Kevin, your video was helpful, thank you! I just picked up a 1995 Yamaha gas club car yesterday and drove it for about an hour. When I came back out to drive it again, I was just getting a clicking sound when I stepped on the gas pedal. I'm pretty sure its the battery. It wouldn't take a full charge and the cells were dry. I'm going to put in a new battery, clean up the connections and cross my fingers! Thanks again!
Sure sounds like a bad battery. Once the cells go dry, the battery is shot. Sometimes you can get a year out of it but you are on borrowed time. The plates must remain covered or they start to fail.
Nicely done. Thank you.
You make good videos
I have a 90 g2 that is blowing the fuse in the ground circuit. No addons all original. Any ideas as where and what to check?
Hey man!
i have just got a 97' G16A, Well it wouldnt crank if you tried to, so what I did was I jumped the solinoid and it cranked up, and fired up.
I have been starting it that way for about a week now, and it never blew the 20 amp fuse that was in it. Until yesterday morining I went to start it, and blew the fuse.
I then put in another fuse, and it blew that one. I went through about 5 fuses before I gave up, and it blew fuses up to 30 amps, I dont wanna go any higher than that cause I don't wanna mess anything up.
but every once in awhile it will start up with out blowing a fuse, and sometimes it will start even with the fuse blown.
What do you think the issue is?
This was exactly what was wrong after I put in a new battery when mine was stolen. It just looked like the post should be facing the inside so they are easier to get too but I WAS WRONG. thanks,
I have one. Battery is hoke up right when i trun the key on and push on the gas paider it not do noting but when i jump the solenoid it. Turn over. Thanks. So what going on the fues is good
You may have a bad solenoid or ground.
How do you get that app thing you have to look up carts. I'm on that site but cant find it.
Thank you.
Great videos. Helps me alot
Visit buggiesunlimited.com. At the bottom left of their menu, there is a link "What year is my golf cart". Click that and it will let you choose your make and show you how to find the serial number.
Kevin's Golf Carts found it.. thank you. Quick question. I live in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Do you suggest any good place for parts that ship to Canada. I'm tired of waiting over 3 weeks for parts when ordering from ebay or Amazon.
Thanks again
Dale
Unfortunately, no. Due to customs and international shipping regulations, you will likely encounter this issue no matter where you order from.
Kevin's Golf Carts
ok thank you
hello sir. you mentioned the wire to plug in 11:48: where does that wire go to. Mine is disconnected and i don't know where it goes.
Yamaha carts use a separate ground for the electrical system. That small wire plugs into the harness from the negative battery terminal.
@@Kevinsgolfcarts thank you sir. it's connected at the negative terminal but not at the other end. do i just ground to the frame? Thanks again.
Just watched your 1998 Yamaha G16 Gas No Crank, No Start. I have a 1987 Yamaha G2 Gas Golf Cart and in the last day or so when I step on the gas pedal nothing happens. Sometimes if I push on the pedal a few times it will take off and run. Sometimes I hear a buzz. Does not make any difference if I am in forward or reverse, it does the same thing. Have any ideas, I would like your help. This is my mode of transportation around the community in which I live.
Sounds like a bad solenoid or weak battery. You are going to need a multimeter and load test meter to do voltage and load testing to be certain. When the solenoid buzzes, its usually a sign of a dead battery. Why is the battery dead? If the battery is dead, you have to figure this out first. If the battery is just old, then replace it. If the battery is fairly new, then its possible the voltage regulator or starter/generator has failed causing the battery to not charge while driving.
@@Kevinsgolfcarts Thanks for your help. I thought for sure that it was the solenoid but turned out to be the battery. I have the solenoid out and it does show a little corrosion on the terminals so I will clean and put it back together. I hope that this does the job because I have no way of checking the solenoid as to good or bad. Thanks again for your help even thought I am have a little less money in the bank after buying the battery.
I've got a 1999 Yamaha turns over but does not fire it's got spark gas and air got me confused
My guess is 10 amp fuse under box, if not then check battery wire he said would keep it from starting. I would clean terminals too.
That cart had a 20A fuse too Kevin, it should be 10A.
I dont get it if the polarity is switched why this battery and terminals are so dirty. It looks that this connection was for long time ....
They didn't clean the connections before hooking it up.
Where is the fuse to check?
