I cannot explain how these dances and ceremonies touch me so deeply. When i watch you dance I believe much of it comes from pain and suffering. It almost seems as if your offering it up to the ancestral gods. It’s also about forgiveness and releasing the pain done to you for generations. It’s powerful! Redeeming! Breathtaking! Empowering! As I face a difficult time in my life’s journey I dance with you right where I am. I send healing and restoration prayers to you and your people. You are beautiful! You are strong! You are resilient! You are Brave!

I acknowledge that my Scottish self does not belong here and we should not have come here to take what is rightly yours. This is your land. Take it from us as we have hurt it. I apologize for what my people have done to you and your ancestors. Thank you for your fight. Healing cannot start until radical change occurs. This is beautiful.
