Please keep doing what you're doing and finding a way to reach others through your music so they too can see how amazing and rich it all is. Thanks for the vibes.

I had the privilege to attend a powwow for the first time and let me tell you, it’s not the just a festival . There’s a power there , there’s mysticism ,there’s spirit. I don’t know how to describe it, but I could feel an energy, I feel pride , proud of them! Nice people to be around. I have a native friend from one the tribes at the border with Canada (Ottawas) he invited me to come and I loved it . I hope they can keep their traditions.
Yes you need to stand next to a drum when they are jammin, it’s like what you imagine your moms heartbeat must have sounded like! Your heart starts beating in time...it’s friggin great
My best friend as a child was Blackfoot, her father was one of the men who drummed and sang at Pow Wows. I used to go with them all the time, these times are among my best memories and I still have a deep love for the music and dancing.
So I recently discovered Mongolian music which led me to Nordic and Viking and now to this. This is so beautiful to see and hear. It’s sad to know that people in the USA don’t embrace this and want to bury this beautiful art form. I hope this grows even more and reaches a worldwide audience.

Maori? Much love to our Aussie cousins
Gratitude to all of those at the pow wow that allowed this to be recorded and shared with the larger world outside of The People. Thank you.
This was viscerally beautiful. The drumbeat and the voices, it felt like it changed the beat of my heart.
The drum for the heart and pulsing blood, the chorus for the brain and the nervous system.
I am right with you...peace and love.
I have found this genre as of recent, and I must say Native American culture is some of the most beautiful and thought provoking. I have nothing but admiration and such profound respect for all. Please keep doing what you're doing and finding a way to reach others through your music so they too can see how amazing and rich it all is. Thanks for the vibes.

Super happy that our crazy european forefathers did NOT kill all of them. What a loss that would have been :(
Wholesome comment. I too get the vibes to this song. Come back to this video every 3 months or so.

Love the music, Six Nations should be proud.

Thr drums al9ne are so empowering. They lift you up and fill you with life, no? Love their music...
Yes you need to stand next to a drum when they are jammin, it’s like what you imagine your moms heartbeat must have sounded like! Your heart starts beating in time...it’s friggin great
O they will
@@chrstnanomee7494 yes you can feel it in your chest strongly. So beautiful I love it.
If you haven't lost inner child , powwow is powerful. Medicine, washte.....
What people in the US are burying this? It’s literally from the US.
This particular video is mostly Canadian people, but I completely agree. Rich Americans will play Lacrosse at private schools while having nothing but disdain for actual native culture.
Disdain? 🤣😂@@ogolthorp

✨✨💖✨✨🦅 I am very white Irish born and raised here in the south Georgia and I love and respect the hell out of my Native American brothers and sisters of Turtle Island 👊🏻, My partner of nearly 10 years was half blood Quapaw Sioux, inducted into her tribe at 16. She died of cancer about a year and a half ago. Every since I was a child I have loved and respected Native Americans so much, they are in my soul. I would die to defend them. I love you all. The Earth is in alot of trouble and needs so much help right now, the water, the oceans, land, animals are suffering too much 😢🌍 I love this planet. I want Mother Earth healed. No fossil fuels, we need free energy technologies, no slaughter houses and animal testing and abuse, no abusing sea life and poisoning water. No racism, bigotry, Ego, religious dogma, masogyny, xenophobia.. all of this insanity has to die out and come to an end. As Red Crow Westerman said.. It is getting close to renewal time.. Mother is reacting.. People have to come together to save this Earth, Love is the meaning of life......
An old Nehiyaw here... getting good vibes. Old traditionalists will say that this is not right. Well I am an old traditionalist and I say that we cannot remain static. We recreate ourselves in our own image, which is today and tomorrow someone else will take our culture and music to another level. Be the one to make that change and live long and pow wow.
Renewal > Stagnation. Thank you for stating this.
The three people who disliked this need to go to a powwow.

As a native business major I felt this music video in my soul
Lol wtf is even that😅😅😅🤣😂
You know it's getting real at a powwow when the drummers cup their ears and hold there throats. am I right? 😏
40 years on the planet and I'm embracing my heritage for my kids
I listen to round dance music and other native singers every day, since my foster parents didnt care for my native heritage so I wasn't allowed but now it's all I want to listen to and honestly it's very calming for me
Look into Ghost Dance.
That sucks that your foster parents denied you the right to understand and learn from the wisdom of your ancestors and heritage. ;-( But I'm glad that you have the agency and autonomy now to do so. Much peace and light to you friend.
Ugh, f*cking posers
That's awful what kind of people are they. Everyone who is Native American should be proud 💪🏽
@@carlalewis3645 They are people who are trying to turn a native boy into a white boy. They think they are helping him, and dont realize the harm they cause native children. I absolutely think giving a native child to a white couple is all kind of wrong. It just shouldnt happen.

You can always do ancestry or a similar service idk all the science of it but they were able to identify 2% African and 4% native in my wife’s mostly Northern European Irish and Scandinavian heritage. That’s also how she found out that her dad isn’t her real dad. Plot twist his uncle is her dad. Me I have no native background but I love the culture and still totally resonate with this as would many people who have gotten tired of the hamster wheel of a society we’ve built
Snow Raven says, "we are all indigenous to Mother Earth." Whatever our backgrounds, there is a deep resonance with native culture. It's who we all are, it's just unrecognised. My mother's ancestors were Norwegian Viking. I had an almost magnetic attraction for that country long before I knew the ancestral connection.
I believe if we are to save our planet, we need to listen to the oldest cultures that knew how to respect the earth.
Does it feel insanely powerful to dance like that? I imagine it would be quite the head rush!
