Sick man thx forsharing! My car heats up another 20-30 degrees Fahrenheit after I turn the engine off. 🤔 maybe I should run one of these
Yeah these are ideal for cooling the engine down. Even when I'm in a line up I can turn the car off and let the engine cool right down. Doesnt need it with the setup I have but it can be used for that also
Sup Squid what battery are you running an how does it handle the cool down after the car is shutdown? N keep em comin always look forward too your vids!
I run a very basic batttery. "Something" river was the brand. I cant remember but its been in the car for over 3 years and never drops down even when I have forgotten about the water pump being on and I come back 20 mins later haha.

@DriftSquid Hey Jake, I have an EWP150 installed in my lower hose as well on my RB with no thermostat installed (without factory pump pulley on, housing still there), and I have a few questions about your setup. Do you have some sort of bypass to keep coolant flowing around the block but not through the radiator? My ECU controls the pump as well via PDM relay which can control the pump with a duty cycle which basically lets the pump/ecu combo become the thermostat. I always have it running at a minimum of 5-7% duty below operating temps to prevent a hot spot from forming in the head, and it ramps up with temp based on an ecu 2d mapped with duty vs coolant temp. My problem is at speed, it will never get up to full operating temps (60-65C, never hotter). At idle, temps will gradually spike up to 80-90C, and the pump duty will ramp up, essentially cooling down the engine way too much due to coolant sensor response times being slow as they all are with fans dumping radiator heat so fast. So I was thinking maybe I need some sort of thermostat bypass or a separate pump just to circulate within the engine only. Do you have anything other than ewp150 pump, fan, and radiator in your cooling system? I was basically wondering how you actually regulate your running temps without killing the flow inside the block.
Nah I am the same. My car wont get hotter than 65 with the pump running at idle. I usually leave it off for a while and then once its all hot I leave the pump flat out. The way I drive the temps will stay around 90 degrees all the time. But never go over 100.
MY setup works well it just takes ages to heat up. Bit of a pain but Id rather this than it over heating.
DriftSquid Awesome! Well better for it to work too good than not well enough aye? These pumps are insanely good, far better than OE mechanical pump. I guess I’ll weld in a thermostat bypass to return the upper flow exiting the block right back to the lower hose pump inlet. Unlike you, I don’t go flat out all the time 😂. I may take it to 9500rpm every once in a while to make a grin, but that's about all. Thanks for the response!

How did you make sure your tyres wouldnt hit your flares? Lined up with bumpstops? or do you run a stiff suspension?
Suspension is not rock solid. It has heaps of travel. Just need to make sure it travels in the right direction

E throttle mate. Best way to go and is honestly more responsive than cable with all the extra features that can be added. Love it

@@DriftSquid Oh for sure, a full $200 saving on the full kit. You said 22nd, so hopefully I can scratch up enough coin for that... I'm rushing to get my front end put back together before cyclone season starts up here then rebuild the motor inside the garage instead of being stuck on driveway. 👍
