Based on the information provided by the venerable Britannica Dictionary, it is evident that Siem thai culture has adopted, replicated, and borrowed extensively from ancient Khmer culture, encompassing various aspects such as art, architecture, attire, classical music, and dance. This assertion is corroborated by the consensus of scholars worldwide, and contemporary AI systems consistently reflect this understanding. The enduring legacy of the Khmer Empire remains firmly nowadays.

Woah, so that's how it is. But to be honest, the other party also said the same thing. Hmm so perhaps this is the reason why your two countries had a very long dispute.

@@mangkikong after the sack of Angkor, thai troops brought tens of thousands of Khmer Scholars to their kingdom. It would be hard to believe, if they at least didn't adopt some of Khmer culture after that. The fact that Thai script was derived from Khmer script centuries prior to the invasion, the Khmer culture already influenced thai one way or another. And then that huge influx of many great Khmer human capitals into a small kingdom, definitely would further influence their cultures. Considering that time, Khmer Empire was a cultural powerhouse built upon 5-6 centuries of cultural development, even though its military power was waning. And then we have a few new countries(e.g. sokuthai, ayuthaya..etc) found by thai on Khmer land and their assimilation with local native tribe. It's easy to understand who influenced whom. At the end of the day, the winner always speak the loudest and try to change history as they see fit.

Impressive Khmer (Cambodia) Empire Civilization! AYUTTHAYA at first was a small city Kingdom on the Northwestern edge of the Powerful Khmer Empire.
Within less than a century however Thai Kings raid and pushing back the Khmer territories and in 1431 Thailand attacked the Great Capital of Khmer( Cambodia) Angkor.
Ayutthaya in Khmer Sanskrits translate as “ Battle “ or “ Conquerer “ Ayutt it’s in Khmer vocabulary ! 🇰🇭🇰🇭🇰🇭🙏🙏🌎

The Mon’s civilization, Dvaravati, is not given enough credit for its influence on Thais and Burmese cultures. Without Mon culture, Thailand and Burma(Myanmar)would not be what they are today.

Dear my neighbor malaysian who's claiming and believing that srivijaya empire was THEIR empire.
In the colapse of srivijaya in 13th century, Malay Peninsula hold no important meaning for srivijaya. During srivijaya rule over that land, the land hold no permanent settlement, and only contain temporary settlements made by fisherman from sumatra.
Archeological evidence found that the first permanent settlement found in malay peninsula was created by minangese migrant from west sumatra that migrating to what known today as Negeri Sembilan state, and this happened in 14th century.
That means, until srivijaya colapse, malay peninsula was just a wasteland filled with jungles, orang asli, temporary settlements and disease.
Which also mean that Srivijaya was indonesian empire

Khmer empire does not exist since there is no evidence ancient scripted mention Khmer empire. I found only Khmer nakara and sruk Khmer meaning Khmer city. For some reason France scholar did not know the name of empire and in Chinese recorded mention that there are many slaves in the empire so they call it Khmer empire according to the people that live in the area but the people in the area don’t know anything about Angkor wat. The different between khom language and Khmer language is the writing and reading pattern and the age of khom language, alphabet are way more older than Khmer language , alphabet in present day. Khom language written in Sanskrit derived from India while Khmer language written in their own language by borrow khom alphabet during under Siam and France colony. Since everything got destroyed by civil war Khmer Rouge make them confuse about their culture.
