Yay! Someone emailed me saying that buspirone was unclear- it's a daily med as well, BID usually. It seems like it's a topic where everyone has their preferences for additional meds to add, and psych providers tend to have their med choices based on the patient's specific symptoms and each medication profile, but that's the general approach I use and see most in primary care.

Huge fan of your videos! My only request is to increase the volume. I listen to them on my commute and have a hard time hearing them, even on max volume. Thanks!!

I know this is an older video but thought I'd add this. I used busprione/buspar in clinic often for anxiety. Most people were much more receptive to a non - sedating, as needed option to treat anxiety, over a daily med. Most people had zero side effects and great relief with it. Can be taken up to 3 times a day as needed; also works great at night to calm their minds to let them sleep. It's inexpensive which helps too!

Could you do a video of treating an anxious patient? A different type of anxiety than mentioned here?
