It's so very difficult to make a claim from Careshield. Who created this scheme that demands 3/6 ADLs to be present for a valid claim? 90% profits for the INSURERS every year! Singaporeans, you are ripped off. Only in SG is there silence when people's money is taken away by the authority.
The reason is they want to use our money to gamble. If they win, they give themselves big bonus. If they lose and cannot afford to let us take out our money after age 55, they make us wait for 5 more years in the hope they will have enough money . If after 5 years they still have no money to pay, (becasue GIC and Temasek did not make back the money they lost), they change the law again and say wait 5 more years until you are 65, then 75, etc. But some people die before they reach 65 or 75, so too many protest, so they say okay can take out but not all. Must have minimum sum - $20,000, then raise to $40,000 then $200,000 etc. Some people never reach minimum sum. Die lah, like that. What we need is reform and reform is only possible if we vote in more opposition in next GE.

Secondly, healthcare. Even though i subscribe to IncomeShield, Enhance IncomeShield, MediShield the deductible is so high i could not claim any amount at all. All these so called medical shields are in fact shielding you or insurer from paying. Next, Medisave, it is my money in the first place, suppose to save my life, health yet why you imposed so many restrictions on its use. Not long ago i went for a simple laboratory test, scan referred by polyclinic doctor, supposedly subsidised yet i have to fork out cash $500+. Was told if not for kindness of govt subsidy would cost $1000+. What the heck is this. How many poor S'poreans would be denied this healthcare or medical tests if they could not fork the cash. Sir, please don't tell me they can seek assitance or help, it is a long, long process; interview after interview. The PAP govt promised all S'poreans would never be denied of healthcare but this is all bullshit in reality, on the ground; you have to pay upfront cash first before you get your test , medicine or treatments.Thirdly, housing. Am i an owner or lessee. I've fully paid up my hdb flat, how come the govt still lock up my cpf money $161k which can only be withdrawn by installment at age 65. But you have already locked up my Medisave so why are you locking up my other savings. This is utter nonsense. Fourthly, electricity and other hikes/charges. Why do you keep increasing these essential services on top of increasing GST to 9%. The last budget reported a surplus of $9.6b; where's all the money gone. The PAP government's audacity to not include senior citizens for Silver Support based on the criteria/s they have set a very long time ago, has to go! It does not take into account that over these years, the costs of living has increased several folds and even those who are going through their retirements today, do not have sufficient monies to pay for their day-to-day needs, their medical and health requirements , to live out their end years with a sense of belonging to this nation the PAP calls SG UNITED. The PAP government would not move to change an old and outdated criteria/s they have set out many years ago. They remain adamant. Their Ministers and members of parliament remain ' DEAD SILENT' on this issue and do not actively stand with its' elderly residents to enact change. None whatsoever! Is this the kind of government we are supporting and creating?

Dear Mr Prime Minister Lee, in your coming NDR speech on Sunday 19th August you'd talked about cost of living, healthcare, housing & electricity charges etc. Please allow me to share my views with you from an ordinary S'porean perspectives regard the issues you'd be talking about. Firstly, cost of livings. Sir, did you know that a bowl of simple fish ball noodle cost $4 at a humble coffeeshop and hawker centre; mind you at foodcourt would cost you $5.50 or more. A simple meal of 1 meat, 2 vegetables dish cost $5. A cup of kopi O ( coffee w/o milk) cost $1 to $1.10. A bottle of Carslberg beer cost $7. A pack of 20 cigarettes cost $12 minimum. Secondly, healthcare. Even though i subscribe to IncomeShield, Enhance IncomeShield, MediShield the deductible is so high i could not claim any amount at all. All these so called medical shields are in fact shielding you or insurer from paying. Next, Medisave, it is my money in the first place, suppose to save my life, health yet why you imposed so many restrictions on its use. Not long ago i went for a simple laboratory test, scan referred by polyclinic doctor, supposedly subsidised yet i have to fork out cash $500+. Was told if not for kindness of govt subsidy would cost $1000+. What the heck is this. How many poor S'poreans would be denied this healthcare or medical tests if they could not fork the cash. Sir, please don't tell me they can seek assitance or help, it is a long, long process; interview after interview. The PAP govt promised all S'poreans would never be denied of healthcare but this is all bullshit in reality, on the ground; you have to pay upfront cash first before you get your test , medicine or treatments.Thirdly, housing. Am i an owner or lessee. I've fully paid up my hdb flat, how come the govt still lock up my cpf money $161k which can only be withdrawn by installment at age 65. But you have already locked up my Medisave so why are you locking up my other savings. This is utter nonsense. Fourthly, electricity and other hikes/charges. Why do you keep increasing these essential services on top of increasing GST to 9%. The last budget reported a surplus of $9.6b; where's all the money gone. Lastly, to rub salt on my wound your Senile Minister Goh called S'poreans who earns less than $500k mediocre. Sir, i may be a mediocre by your standard, however, i am a tax payer funding your millions dollars salary. Do keep that in mind. Anyway, let see what happen in GE 2020.

If I kill a rat, will I be imprisoned? A woman can kill her unborn baby legally. Yet she can be jailed just for killing a bird. This is the moral chaos in Singapore. Human life is debased here.
