    You are da BomB! I’ve watched 10 tutorials …. Yet i keep procrastinating due to inexperience and ADHD!! Lol! For real…. Anyway you’re calm, unhurried cadence when speaking, as if we’re sitting around in person having a cup of coffee or something! live the tips and the pointers …. Like “remembrr this is the top of your Curtain!”
    I’m going over to my creator / project house to finish my attempted ‘not-yet-but-next’ lining for my cutesy mushroom curtains!! Thankbb by you so much !!!

      @@louisebastard2091 I'm trying to make a little curtain to hide the mail slot that is in my door. I gather at the top like an apron and sew the belt to it, as well. I attach strip magnets to the belt to hang them (my door is metal). I need a lining because the light shines through. So your video was perfect. That dyslexia drives me crazy, too. I thought you may like to use this idea for one of your videos. 😃

    Brilliant tutorial Thankyou. As I'm a novice sewer. Can you suggest a way of ironing on a satin type fabric for the clean edge please? I'm about to embark a massive task of making two sets of curtains which are nearly 13ft long. One will have eyelet headers and will be lined. The other unlined as dress curtains. I'm hesitant to even cut the fabric let alone sew. I know I must be MAD but cannot afford for anyone else to make them for me. I don't have a huge table either so it'll be a nightmare. Any tips at all will be appreciated. Thank you so much.

      when working with satin I found use a damp cloth hope that helps so for so long a reply only seen now and use the cardboard it will keep it straight

    22:28 Hi! I am a newbie. I have watched this video 5 or 6 times and I still can’t quite understand what happens to the bit of extra material in the lining when you pin both sides all the way down and the lining is slightly more narrow than the fabric. I know it must be something to do with those center pins but I am SO confused. Some one help me please!

    I mistakenly bought bonded lining and find it extremely heavy what on earth are they useful for

    • @louisebastard2091
      @louisebastard2091  5 місяців тому

      sorry for the delay but bonded lining is a thick lining with all the benefits of regular blackout lining, but also adding a bonded fleece, which will make your curtains or blinds look fuller also keeps draft out

    I have a question, if my curtain pole is 385cms long and my curtain fabric is 150 cms wide in order to make 2 curtains will I need 5.6 fabric widths per curtain or will 3 suffice it just seems an awful lot but I want curtains that are quite full when hung up

    • @louisebastard2091
      @louisebastard2091  5 місяців тому

      depending on how full you want the curtains to look you would need 2 and half drops but I would to save money go 2 drops per side and I see you brought heavy lining which will give it a fuller look 2 drop each side

    • @monicamcmahon6887
      @monicamcmahon6887 5 місяців тому

      @@louisebastard2091 Thanks for the belated reply. Made the curtains using 2 and a half widths, and although that seemed an awful lot of curtain,they actually looked perfect. Unfortunately I abandoned the bonded lining as it was too thick and I just couldn’t use it, my sewing machine and arms couldn’t cope, because the curtain fabric was a heavy linen material .

    • @louisebastard2091

      if the window measure 1 metre wide i will on each side have it a metre wide so it is double does that make sense
