Love the recipe. The way I was shown when I was young was to cook the onions first and mix half into the dough, the rest sprinkled on the outside. The woman who gave me the recipe also added things like sun dried tomatoes, diced anchovies, diced artichoke hearts, cheese and folded the dough over then onions on the outside. Boy I miss her and her cooking.

Julia Campbell so were the sundried tomato and artichoke hearts like in the middle of the focaccia like half way through or mixed into the batter??

Hi Laura!! I can officially say that I'm addicted to your channel! Love all of your videos and it's because of you that I started cooking. I didn't think I would ever excel in that area but you make it very easy and effortless. I wish you endless success. With that said, I just wanted to find out the nail polish you have on in this video...just lovely.

I've had that problem too. I learned from a cookbook, that adding a bit of cornstarch (about 1 tsp. diluted in a bit of water), will keep the Lasagne together. Picture perfect I would say! Nice and tall, without having the pasta slipping and sliding all over the place! Hope it works for you as well!

I like to use honey instead of sugar in dough as well as activating the yeast. It really makes a nice difference

Wow, that was an amazing recipe.
If was really fun to make as I love working with yeast doughs. And because I had never made or tasted a focaccia before tonight.
It really was delicious. Love both the caramelized onions and the parmesan. The fresh herbs made it truly amazing. Such soft, fluffy bread.
It also worked well done entirely by hand. I don't have the stand mixer but I still loved the results
Thank you so much for this recipe. Will definitely be making more Focaccia in the future.

Had the same issue. She mentioned that you could look up her Focaccia recipe from one of her earlier videos. Just look up that recipe on her site. As far as the topping on this particular one, you just have to follow what she does on this video. I made this tonight and it was easy to follow. Good Luck :D

@micimackoful actually baking is more of a science because measurements need to be more precise than in cooking. :) A half of a teaspoon one way or another matters. I only used the garlic as an example in my post. The problem I had was with the direction to dissolve the salt in water in the recipe instead if her adding it right to the flour in the video. It changed the dough and I had to keep adjusting the flour and water. I gave up when I had more flour on myself than in the dough..lol.
