@vivileon honestly just give the list a try first, update the lighting mod as it was outdated for me. I personally like using the bleachers story mod, make sure to grab the 2nd chapter. Otherwise standalone weapon and armor mods are generally safe to install. Reshade is the most performance friendly if you get a light preset. I also like weapon inertia, and a modern Ui preset for FallUi along with some new combat and idle animations
Love this list, only managed to beat fo3 before I burnt out though. I blame the level 30 refresh between games for this, since I didn't feel like I was doing myself a favor leaving the East coast early. This (personally) ended up forcing me to meander around looking for things to do that I wasn't necessarily engaged with, in order to squeeze the levels out.
classic issue with TOTW, you never make it to the end of both 😂. I would honestly need an entire endgame rework+scaling in order to make it interesting enough to reach end of both games + their dlcs (so new level locked weapons, a ton new endgame perks, crazy new enemies/bosses, etc)
I was wishing for all of this last week when I could bother trying to make Fallout 3 to work, couldn't. New Vegas is fine, but I wanna start from 3, thank you sooooooo much
Due to a bug that, so far as I know, was never fixed, the gaming computer I had at the time I tried to play Fallout 3 would crash upon leaving Vault 101 every time. I was never able to get that computer to play the game. Eventually I gave up and now, over a decade later, I was just deciding to give it a try again. I also wanted the game to look and feel just like it was supposed to, but better. Fewer crashes, smoother gameplay, higher quality textures that matched the originals, etc. Things like that. This is *exactly* what I wanted. I want a mod that looks and feels authentic to the original. I think you can just sprint through and go to the train station with ~TGM on but that feels so hacky considering how integrated the rest of the mods feel in the list. A nitpick, for sure, but it's *my* nitpick.
Agreed, I think Jon has shown a lot of restraint so it doesnt feel too cluttered with mods. And yeah it is a shame; as i've not played 3 in ages the lack of starting choices didn't bother me, but I can imagine it'll turn a good amount people away from this great experience

Great review only thing I'd suggest is for Nvidia owners use the new RTX HDR over Special K. I might go with Capital Punishment, or this one.
Anybody know how to fix stuttering issues with this pack? Happens after paying for a few hours or so and usually when looking past buildings and rubble
Can anyone help me? I followed the instructions on the Begin Again Nexus page to a tee (fresh install of FO3/NV, a second Steam library, launch the game once then exit, etc). But when I get to the step to actually install using Wabbajack, I just get "download failed" repeatedly on the left side, then shortly after I get a red "Installation failed" in red on the right side. Is there a visual walkthrough of how to do this because I know I didn't miss any steps and I'm not really sure what more I can do?
I had the same issue. What fixed it for me was pressing the settings icon in Wabbajack, and then pressing the button to logout of my nexus account and then logging it back in. played ToTW many years back and... oh they "nerfed" the thing so it resets the character back to level 1 after taking the train! ...and y'know what, that's actually pretty alright, at least it'll make the 2nd half not feel like cruising on easy mode
For some reason the mods are not applied in fallout 3 for me. anyone else has this problem also? The dlls are all loaded correctly but when aiming down sights with right click it just zooms in instead of aiming down like in a shooter nowadays. Thats why I am concerned that something went wrong. I followed the whole installation process and did everything correct I believe
The confusing part is if you follow the Official TTW guide, they dont mention wabbajack at ALL. They mention installing a whole ton of fixes after installing TTW. Thats confusing because their guide is considered the official guide.
Genuinely curious if any body has had success running these mod packs on steam deck? Love the fallout games and want to finally be able to enjoy a fully modded play through.
Update, of course I’ve run into issues right away starting a new game. Missing textures and no voices playing… and of course their discord keeps saying invite is invalid. I’m barely hanging on to modlists in general as something to do. I’m so tired of this $#it
I've played a few hours of both games but always stopped playing because they just felt too dated. Even with my limited time in the vanilla games, I immediately noticed the difference on all aspects. Better graphics, performance, HUD and primarily; gameplay. The gameplay alone is what took the game from almost acceptable to pretty amazing. I'm basically enjoying Fallout 3 like a "new" Fallout game and I can't wait to get to New Vegas. Just sucks the achievements you get for Fallout 3 don't count

I have a 2080 TI and DXVK seems to be causing the list to crash on startup. It works when I turn it off, and It's randomly started twice with it on. Don't fully understand the DXVK instruction and the Discord links don't work. Can anyone here lend me a hand?
Great review only thing I'd suggest is for Nvidia owners use the new RTX HDR over Special K. I've done some personal testing and can say Nvidia's looks better than SK and is one / two clicks to get it working. I've been looking around for a new Mod List. I might go with Capital Punishment, or this one.
Anybody know how to fix stuttering issues with this pack? Happens after paying for a few hours or so and usually when looking past buildings and rubble
Install fallout nv heap replacer and it also makes the rock-it launcher actually work because the pack by itself you can’t use it
Can anyone help me?
No idea why, but it works. I set this up yesterday and got sucked in for 8 hours. Hope this helps you and you get to play, because it rules.
@@SpaceJamOnBluRay Thanks man, I'll report back once I try it today!
@@SpaceJamOnBluRay UPDATE - IT WORKED! I never would've thought to sign out and sign back in. What a strange bug. Manually clicking "Download" on every mod is painful but I don't want to pay for Nexus haha.
Cheers!
@@IIMIKEYMOII Awesome, I'm glad it worked for you. I made it about 29 mods in before I said screw it and bought a nexus premium account hahaha. How long did it take to manually click through all of them?
@@SpaceJamOnBluRay Bro, it took me over an hour probably. I was waiting on videos to render for work anyways. I hit 460/460 and got an "Install Error" right at the very end! NOOO! I might follow your lead and try Nexus Premium for a month and redownload the modlist. I wish there was an error log to show what went wrong installing everything.
Good review. Do you know if the amount of loot in the game world is reduced?
Thanks.
played ToTW many years back and...
oh they "nerfed" the thing so it resets the character back to level 1 after taking the train!
...and y'know what, that's actually pretty alright, at least it'll make the 2nd half not feel like cruising on easy mode
Anyone else have issues with Megaton ground textures blinking black?
@dippy4197 no I had the issue when DXVK was turned off. With DXVK turned on the issue was non existent :)
got the same issue.
@@The4thSurvivor1995 try DXVK
For some reason the mods are not applied in fallout 3 for me. anyone else has this problem also? The dlls are all loaded correctly but when aiming down sights with right click it just zooms in instead of aiming down like in a shooter nowadays. Thats why I am concerned that something went wrong. I followed the whole installation process and did everything correct I believe
Question for anyone, can you pick and choose which mods to have on/off at anytime in the mod organizer?
After installing can I add more mods to this such as weapons etc?
I’m playing this but I have a bug where If I die in a house, cave , tunnels, any location not outside . I come back but stuck in the floor
Just reinstalled it because of the tv serie, great modlist even though i didn't made it to nv yet
Have you tried it on deck yet? How is it?
Fantastic review! Just a quick question, are both the game's dlcs included? Thanks
You need to already own both games and their dlcs to run this modpack. TTW just bridges the games together
Update, of course I’ve run into issues right away starting a new game. Missing textures and no voices playing… and of course their discord keeps saying invite is invalid. I’m barely hanging on to modlists in general as something to do. I’m so tired of this $#it
the fps spikes are insane for me with this mod and i’m running a 4060 with a ryzen 5600x, keeps spiking from 144 fps to 80
U need to cap fps to 60 and read install guide full I play on 3070 no problems if u want use lossless scaling look it up
@@shialabeouf9881 thank you friend 🙏🙏
great video. could you do an installation video for us dummys.
Fallout 3 on steam does'nt have achievements anyway!
@@SteebRNR Ah ok, yeah I thought maybe they didn't show up because I hadn't earned achievements yet. Ok, that's one less thing to worry about haha, thanks!
Hey did you mod Fallout 3 goty edition? I tried my own mod list and the game constantly crashes. Lost 5 hours of gameplay
@@inkedelchapo8819 This modlist basically turns Fallout 3 and New Vegas into one massive game with overhauled mechanics to bring it more in line with Fallout 4/76 and improved graphics and performance. It's a list of 300+ mods I could never get working on my own. Modlists like this are the future of modding imo. Seriously, making a modlist like this and getting everything to work nearly flawlessly is about as impressive to me as creating actual mods. I've tried for years to mod these games on my own like you but I could never in a million years get as impressive a list as this on my own so I just gave up. I exclusively play these games with modlists now. To answer your question; yes, I used Fallout 3's GOTY edition, but if you are asking me for help with your problem, I haven't the slightest clue haha. I'm horrible at modding. If all this sounds recognizable to you, I highly recommend giving this list a chance. Took me less than an hour to install and it was all pretty straight forward. I completed Fallout 3 and am now playing New Vegas and I can honestly say I can never play either games in their vanilla state anymkre after this list
@theunderdog9353 I got my game modded up but it started crashing non stop. This is the way I think I should of done from DAY 1. I plan on doing it. Did you use VORTEX or another mod organiser?
This rocks! I’ll need to try this out. Have you tried the Eldryn mod pack for Skyrim? Saw that looked like a Septimus successor and wanted to know your thoughts. Watched much of your playthrough and never had a chance to try Sep out for myself
Pity that you start in DC and only can move to nevada later on. I tried to replay DC, but it just didn't catch on. Shame because this mod works great. Really like some of the updated contents. I'll be looking for a NV modlist... Suggestions?
Would you be able to make an install guide for begin again please i can't seem to get it working
I wonder when someone will create a base-combination for Fallout like in "STALKER Anomaly (ex COC)", all three maps and DLCs and contents of Fallout 3/NV/4 in "Fallout 4" with a new base for serious modding this time, more organized and optimized, will most likely never happen :|
people probable just wait Fallout 5 for a new mess :|
Can you do a video on the Wild Card modpack for New Vegas/TTW?
Question, I have successfully installed this on my desktop and thinking of installing this on my laptop as well. Is there a faster way to do this without going through the manual installation of the mods in Nexus Mods? I'm a free user hence I'm asking since I don't want to go through all of the hoops of manually installing mods.
Can you add the green tint back at all ?
Wish I could download and play this but idk whats happening but can get the second library to work at all for me.
What mod adds the achievement list for both f3/fnv to the pause menu?
Im curious to know if othet mods could work with this list. Like if i wanted to use a body mod, would that work or would it break everything lol
Installed, love it so far but i guess it's normal when you leave the vault 101, the f3 dlcs are not appearing anymore and I can one shot people in the heads?
How do you add other mods to the modlist? Is it via MO2?
Yes, in the top left corner of MO2 just click install mod and pick your zipped mod file. Make sure to enable it by clicking the check box to the left of the mod when you see it in the list below.
woooo a new vegas modlist, nice
how do you change fov cant find the slider?
is there any way to adjust the graphics settings to make it run smoother?
Does anyone know if it's mandatory to use an FPS limiter? I have AMD graphics card, but I cannot install Riva Tuner for some reason. It seems like that it is the only FPS limiter that I can use. Any advice on that? Thank you!
Nexus's Very last Kiss TTW did NOT hold up well on my HP laptop With radeon AMD graphics card, any shot this will be alot smoother I just spend the last three days modding and fixing and im honestly at my witts end, Im going to give this a shot, And if I should avoid any specific texture packs?
I am interested in running Special K over the DXVK but I cannot find the way how to do so. I can see in your video that you run Special K and it even recognized Vulkan as backend API. is there any way how to apply it on TTW without installing the Wabbajack ? I tried all sorts of the .dll swapping but it either does not work or the game crashes at startup.
Google “FNV Performance Guide” and you’ll find an easy to follow guide for setting up DXVK or DXVK HDR
Did I understood that right? When you travel to New vegas you reset your Character. But will you be able to return to fallout 3s map?
Anybody have tips for using a controller with the mod list? A few buttons have the same bindings by default (RB being vats and melee, etc) I have a controller with 2 back buttons that I’m not sure to map. Thanks for anyone that can help!
Can you make an updated video on how to install this? Please and thank you!
Would you ever do a review of the other list in fallout new vegas?
How do I make concussions rarer?
I'm surprised you aren't using TotNW.
Can you review Capital Punishment?
whats better, this or Capital Punishment?
All Ive ever wanted is a modlist for fo3 and NV to not run like crap. I’m downloading this now. It’s a modlist for both that doesn’t run like crap (hopefully). All other mod lists I’ve tried attempted to do to much and made the games run awful. There is no reason a 3060ti and 32gb of ram should ever have difficulty running these games.
