Maxon takes all these ideas from the plugins that people do for c4d, i had plugins doing similar things, I remember that I download a new plugin, and in the next version cinema 4d they put that option. It’s great because they see what’s popular, what people use the most, and then they give it to us in a package. The fewer plugins, the better.
These low level tools seems more refined and better integrated than both MAX ones and Blender. In fact in Blender some of these are not part of the core but Addons. How is the Snapping system in C4d compared to these software? Hard to find proper modeling videos with any version of Cinema

My only question: at Time 1:26:57 , Why did you start out with the Helix spline primitive... if your goal was to have a perfect straight-line spline? Couldn't you start with a perfect straight spline? Or is there something I'm not understanding here (entirely possible).

Last time I played with C4d was back in 2017/18, boy, things have changed. All I wanted was to recall how to insert an object from c4d to Ae with reflections and all. Man have I forgotten everything I had known about this software. What's the deal with the new material? I loved C4d for being easy, way more easy than Maya, which I also knew, once.. This whole thing just made me feel bad about even trying.
happy to see them pay attention to some of those little interface things. So small, but they're all like "ahh that's a nice change." And stp file in the background is huge for me! I do animation for complex industrial products, so many pipes n stuff, and hopefully it will let me work while a stp file loads for 2 hours. Still don't know why they don't make preferences "ctrl+,". It's a simple fix but so many programs do it.
Yeah, I never really worked with CAD files, but when I started doing tests I can't believe how long it took them to load. Great addition to have in S26.

wow, hammer weights feature-- this is unbelievably useful for rigging mixamo characters that arent humanoid. just tested adjusting mesh issues that I was never able to resolve before. it worked INSANELY well.
You are my favorite video host in all of UA-cam. Because you talk fast and with great precision and authority. Not to mention enthusiasm and an upbeat attitude. You do not shout or bark at your viewer. There are no nasty audio artifacts (like cheap mic and room standing waves) in your audio portion. You do not affect any vulgar and trendy word pronunciations, thank god. Oh, and S26 looks cool, too.

hey everybody , i have a question , when export particles from houdini or any program as alembic and import as point to c4d 25 and 26 , i cant change the position of alembic (points) . but ican do this on c4d 21 - 22 -23 and 24 , anybody know why cant be change potion of point cache alembic file ?
Anybody know why I can't see the "Rigid Body" Simulation tag? I see Cloth, Rope, Connector, Cloth Belt, Rope Belt and Collider. Also, new to C4D so sorry if I misunderstand....Thanks!
All of the "old" simulation tags (including the Rigid Body Tag) have been moved to the Bullet Tag menu. Bullet is the name of the engine on which they are based.
A classic question for anyoneknows the issue: What to do for that going on jiggle after the simulation stopped? Can't we solve that without poking the project settings because there are other objects with different simulations?

Chris you're a tough guy but please stop patronising Maxon. On minute 27:46 you can see that the bridge tool creates extra double polygons, these are not new features, these are new problems.
Hi Chris, I'm not sure I understand you correctly. When I see what you did with the new uniform cloth simulation, it seems to behave more like a soft body than the old cloth simulation. So is the new cloth going to replace the old soft body in a sense? It feels like we have some duplicate tags doing almost the same thing.
So great update for Cinema and great review. I almost want to shift to the blender for the 3D modelling before now that all the tools I needed are already been added to the cinema maybe I just stick to it.
Maxon oughta buy FUSE / MIXAMO and make it a part of C4D. And we could use AI to tell the characters what to do, and when, and where to focus their eyes, and even design costumes for them.

Rendering is a feature that can not be seperated from a 3D software. But they did it. Maxon did not develop a modern engine. They bought one of them and custumers are paying it thats all. There is a strange deciple audience that tends to applaud immediately no matter what is put in front of them. I can’t believe this anymore. Really.

Don't bet on this one - I did some ''ink in water'' sims in Blender pretty fast and smooth (since I don't use it on daily basis), yet it was pretty much impossible for me to do it in C4d without XParticles (which I don't have).
very cool low level tools for modeling that even 3ds max doesn't have them by default or they dont work as smooth. Small tools but together they already give a more serious impression about C4D as a modeling tool. Maxon is to be saluted! Development of Polygon Modeling pretty much sucks nowadays so all respect for them. Keep it in this direction including small but useful modeling tools that other software users take it for granted. Does Maxon have a board where they receive and discuss feedback from users about software improvements?

i wish they hadn't removed a bright theme option :/ because: i don't like dark interface of the specific program.At least: it is very fast,lightwave,stable,but still lacks some of the features,comparing to blender.

Yes! Now you can create a parametric UV map using the new Automatic UV node (inside the Scene Nodes\Scene Manager or in the classic Object Manager)

The rope sim is great, Blender is so behind when it comes to simulating anything.

For me I just wanted C4Dviewport to be more responsive with heavy scenes.
Wow v26….. I worked with C4D until v12. That was around 2010 I believe.. best 3D app if you ask me. To bad I do not have a license anymore.
