I would love to know what you think of the 2023 version as I am thinking about purchasing myself. I purchased the hp spectre x360 14 but may return so that I can go with a p series processor 2 in 1 instead but I haven't been able to find any reviews.
I'm in the market for a 14" Windows laptop and this might be the one. Not much coverage out there so glad you're reviewing. Look forward to comparison with the Galaxy Book 3 Pro but that's non touch and no swivel, but with OLED screen. Too bad Samsung didn't make a 14" Book 3 Pro 360.
Yeah I like what they’ve done but at the same time it’s a little confusing to me and I think it’ll hurt them. A book 3, pro, ultra that have different features like 2-in-1 on one but not the other. They need to do better at not confusion the buyer. But I’m excited to get my hands on one when it delivers in a couple of weeks.
Thanks a lot for making this video. The aspect ratio is a huge deal for me. 16:9 is unusable for real work. Image quality review helps immensely. Looking to buy one now.
I have a 16 inch Dell 2in1. I tell you what, I couldn’t live without touch and the versatility of a two in one now that I’m used to it. It looks great.
Glad to hear that’s working for you. I think if if used a 2 in 1 for long enough I’d find it more useful but my muscle memory doesn’t think to take advantage of it just yet as I’m so used to the standard clamshell design.
I've used a Surface Laptop for a year now, and honestly I never even remember it has a touch screen. It almost always takes me by surprise. Definitely a feature I would happily remove from laptops if it brought some other value like more battery or better screen, or even just shaved off some money
@@MarkPhippard Thanks for the comment. I think from a money point of view it wouldn't be much though. From a battery life perspective I think it would. It would be interesting to find out what the trade offs really are.
mike!!! dude i just saw you in an inside edition video! 😂😂l i instantly recognized you! nice house mate congrats! i hope you make good use of the place!
Hey Luigi! How funny is that 😱. It was probably me for sure…. Got another project on my hands. Check out my other channel to follow along: @realmikethakur
Dam you got taken that much for i5 i bought mine a while ago with i7 and the think i hated about this computer is you can only get drivers from the lg software and it gets super hot fast making me replace the manufacturers thermal paste with thermal grizzly extreme and taking this thing apart was also a pain with hidden screws everywhere
This is nice but it's $1900 in Canada and for that i can get a m2 macbook air which i painfully must admit is still probably the better option. As much as i want to stick with windows... i think apple will be getting my money.
I’m not a big fan of Dell from a durability perspective. Their fine laptops for sure, but the gram for example has way more standout features (like how thin it is) and can be found for great pricing in many places.
Mike i wanna buy an ultrabook and confuded which one to buy under 1400$..i have heard dell xps has terrible battery and throttling..please recommend me a window laptop under 1400 which i ll absolutely love
I’d take a look at the Lenovo Yoga range, LG Gram 14 and Surface Laptop for starters. All great devices although battery life for me was strongest in the Gram!
Thanks for sharing! Tell me please honestly: Is this review sponsored by LG? There are a few issues with lg laptops and I haven't seen you addressing them at all
Thanks for the video. Can you confirm the weight (2.2lbs or 2.75lbs) and the height dimension (8.42 or 8.68 inches) please? LG official website shows it be the same size and weight with the non flip version which is either wrong or quite impressive! Must be the former though... Thanks.
I like the Grams and will likely review the new ones when I can get hold of one. They seem to be solid options for a lightweight, windows laptop with decent battery life!

Thanks for reviewing this. I just picked up the 2023 version with an i7-1390P and I'm testing it out.
Nice! Let me know how it is 😁

The p series chips definitely do a good job of performing but battery life isn’t amazing, just pretty good so keep that in mind.
how is it 9 months later?

I've been debating this or a Framework 13 AMD. You are a real one for making this review. Hope everythings been well mate
😁
@2:29 the keyboard is typical lenovo? Was that a mistake or just a comparison to Lenovo keyboards?
Mistake on my part!

Hey Uncle Mikey, lovin' the review and lovin' the 6K subscriber family!
Hey Ricky! I’m loving the 6k family also 😱. Almost there on my other channel too 😳 @realmikethakur

Hi Mike, I'm hesitate about LG Gram 2 in 1 and Thinkpad Yoga, which is better about build and keyboard? Can you share about it
I'd like to know what specific model that laptop was, if it was the 14z90q, 14q90t, etc?
Dam you got taken that much for i5 i bought mine a while ago with i7 and the think i hated about this computer is you can only get drivers from the lg software and it gets super hot fast making me replace the manufacturers thermal paste with thermal grizzly extreme and taking this thing apart was also a pain with hidden screws everywhere
😱
How those are compared to some older Thinkpads

😳
Hi Mike, what's your take on the Dell - Inspiron 14.0" 2-in-1 Touch Laptop - 13th Gen Intel Core i5
I’m not a big fan of Dell from a durability perspective. Their fine laptops for sure, but the gram for example has way more standout features (like how thin it is) and can be found for great pricing in many places.
Thanks Mike, appreciate your insightful response.
The only thing it doesn't have is the ability to charge from either side
Interesting. I don't think I even thought to try that! :(

Anyone out there have experience with these? I haven’t tested any ROG devices so not sure how they compare :(

Hey buddy, I bought this with my own money, it wasn’t a sponsored video in any way. Just my thoughts after using it for a few weeks.

Dude. I don’t have the device in my studio anymore 😳
@@mikedropstech No worries mate and thanks for replying.
What do you think of this one compared with the new LG gram style
They’re both really nice!
What are your thoughts on the LG Gram 2023? Will you be reviewing it?
I like the Grams and will likely review the new ones when I can get hold of one. They seem to be solid options for a lightweight, windows laptop with decent battery life!
bro kept saying Lenovo lol
😩
The silver hinges are an eyesore. Laptop manufactures shouldn't use such fussy styling details.
😳
LG not available in my region Malaysia
😔
@Mike Drops Tech will u try acer swift 14 and swift go 14? And what other ur recommendation for 14"?
lg gram 17
