haha that figurine at 26:25 looks like a bee keeper!
for the coach shell i say you coulr turn it into a mobile shed or cargo holder or something to hold logs and such. for the brakevan shell make it a tool shed by the works area
The Rocket Railways version of the Coca Cola van was inspired!!! Great video, Sam, thanks for uploading!
Oh my goodness, that custom coke wagon is hilarious!
You've hit the nail on the head with the RR box: some great items for decorating a layout with obsolete railway paraphernalia.
The buffer stop, ladders, telegraph pole & figure alone are worth twenty quid!
The canopy in that box is worth the 10 quid alone, at least to me. I'd like to see you put that on the station at the top of the hill and add a platform to reach the other line, maybe using The Railway Children station if you still have it
19:44 you could turn that into an open-air car like what some tourist railroads run
21:45 it's a beekeeper
47:05 all I could tell you is "Great Western" based on the right-hand controls
Sam. You should buy another rocket railways reclaimed mystery box and try challenge yourself to craft a small model railway using all the parts from the box and also using any random modelling supplies that you don’t have any use for.
Yes! More salvage or scrap!
19:44 this could be used as a small covered open air waiting room for passengers at one of your stations. I did it with a few beat up Hornby coaches I got from a pack of ten coaches.
Hey, Sam got a box of junk! I was going to get a box of junk a few months back, but when I ordered my other models from them the boxes weren't listed on their site, and there was no way I was paying a second batch of international shipping for a box of junk. I was generally pleased with my order. I got a load of cheap wagons, because I wanted the cheapest wagons the internet could provide for some shunting. Most of them were well worth the money, although one of the more expensive ones didn't mention that it was missing the couplings. More expensive was still less then 15 quid, though, and I mainly got it for the BR container on the wagon anyways. I also got a quite unusual kit built salt van, and astonishingly, the axel boxes on it had functional plastic leaf springs.
Also, I think you should do a giveaway with the Triang wagon. If mine are anything to go by, they are too low performance for trains in your reviews and stuff, but good enough for messing about with shunting.
Love this video, thanks again Sam 👍😁
I quite like that mystery box from Rocket Railways!!! 😀🚂🚂🚂
I live quite close to Rocket Railways and a membership. 10% off purchases. A free open 7 plank open wagon Dapol. I have had Mystery boxes and because I collect them then they’re only a couple of quid. Excellent service from the guys and the price of the secondhand stock is great value for money especially for people just starting out.
Looks like a spaceman? Really a Beekeeper!
Whoever decided to to that coca cola wagon at rocket railways needs a pay rise 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Got a bold request: have you ever had a mamod live stream loco? If you haven't, it's a 0 or 1 gauge loco that actually runs off of steam. The loco itself is about 400 quid I think, so it'd be something interesting to look at if you haven't already.
Brake van cut down as a hot dog stand. Passenger car cut down as a yard office maintenance storage shed. Weird roof piece as a scene with figures welding torch and scrapping tools.
Re the box. The first of the two tree parts is a section of Merit poplar tree. The single piece of metal fencing looks like one of the six side panels to the Hornby single deck car transporter wagon. Keep up the good work.
47:08 It looks something Great Western
I have two of those wagons, they are beautiful little things
Thank you for the birthday song for my brother David thank you
This was the best live stream you did Sam thenk you for giving me a shout out
Cheers Jasper & Willow
As someone that is thinking of doing some scenery on a budget of basically imagination that rocket railways box would actually be handy
Cheers Sam for running some American pieces. Would love to see a semi-modern U.S. diesel. A EMD SD 60 or similar.
Hi Sam. That figure painted white looks a figure from the Airfix airfield fire fighting set.
The coach body without windows could be used on a farm as either a shed or an animal pen
Great stream, what I was able to watch anyway. Replaying it to catch up. Have you ever seen British steam models by a company called "Life Like"? I have several of their diesel models of various ages, but had never seen anything in a British outline. Saying that, I just picked up Neath Abbey. It's got a loco mounted ring field style motor, separate pickups on the drivers, and tender pickups, but no electrical connection between engine and tender. Like main line and early Bachman, it looks beautiful, but is a little dodgy on operations.
For the shipping container you could brand it up as Sams Trains shipping
This is not necessarily the place to make this comment but I see today, Monday 1st August, that Hornby's latest Hush Hush locos cost £254.49. Now I like mine but I think has gone up £35 in less than 8 months.
Hey sam! Since you know so much about model trains, i tought i should ask you, if it is possible to Connect a Bachmann controller to the hornby power track? (If not then what controller does?)
I have an idea of what you can do with the carrage missing all the windows.
Make a Observation Car for Tourists to put on one of your trains, like the one on the Bluebell Railways.
That sounds awesome - nice idea! :D
Thanks for watching, Sam :)
@@SamsTrains Your Welcome I the moment I saw that carrage with the windows all cut out I was thinking about the Observation Car like the one operated by the Bluebell Railway.
Bee Keeper 🐝 3d print a hive and the jobs done !
Maybe as an idea have Bachmann James pull a goods train/freight train similar to what I saw from Journey Beyond Sodor.
Fun fact about bachmann they put a flywheel in the n scale thomas but not the HO scale thomas
15:08 is when the actual video portion starts
With the wagon you could make a Sam's train wagon and repaint it
A six wheel brake van?! Have they gone completely insane?
Awesome Sam
Could you please review the bachman Irish train
the plastic trashbox that sam's bought could possibly be used for some kitbashing bananza rahter than restoring each item?
Do you ever seen Hornby 06 shunter?
with the rocket there's a mail coach
Sam why not 3D print a new chassis for GWR Toad!!
nice stream regarding rocket box iv thrown away better than that i think hes clearing his rubbish out nice running session thanks for sharing
So sorry I missed it! I was sleeping in after a long day of racing yesterday. My dad and I went to two different races at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, so it was a long, tiring day lol
Also, my birthday was on the 26th, so yay Birthday Song!
As far as that Carriage shell, one thing you could do is model an open-air carriage. Some tourist railroads in the U.S. do have some cars that are modified to be open-air, like, for example, an old gondola with a roof built onto it and benches built into it, or something like that.
And the scrap train looked really cool! Not surprised to see the Heljan 1361 on there!
I'm a big fan sam
the lamb is frollicking thats what lambs do to burn of excess energy!
at 43:13 um i see part of your well you know what
he is a bee keeper the dude in white
The coaches in the mystery box can be scrap if you wanted.
Doode is the join the this on the bottom of your link
MIssed yet another live stream
Did you get my comments I sent you?
I didn't get a notification, agh!
I got my notification when the stream was almost done😡
Awesome live stream today Sam beautiful request and so happy to see the Bachmann james
Genuinely laughing quite hard when the cola bottle wagon was shown…
Would rather have that than Hornby’s offering…
I laughed so hard I peed my pants from how hard I laughed at it and yes me looking at Hornby going crazy about it
Hi Sam, great video, looks like a box of junk for £9.
