- In this video a special guest presenter and myself look at the contents of a Sawyer Models mystery box.
The Sawyer Models is not sold as a 'reclaimed' box like it's main rival, how will this box of new and used items stack up against its Leicestershire rival?
Hello I've had five of these Sawyer Model 'Mystery Bags' so far and every time I see thier stand at a show I will buy one. I've all sorts of stuff in them but all useful in some way and those little bits (like the Peco milk churns and things like that) are the sort of things that you wouldn't want to buy on their own and always worth more than what I paid. A great bit of fun.
Just for info, Andy Sawyer did tell me he saw what Rocket Railways were doing and decided to do it differently and give people 'value for money' bags instead some items are pre-owned but of reasonable quality. Thanks
Good value
thats a pretty good haul you have there, ive bought a few at exhibitions, the rocket railways is a bit of fun and ive found some useful bits in the 2 mystery boxes ive got and the sawyer models ones are good value for what you get especially when buying of them at exhibitions you dont have the postage cost, thanks for sharing. Tom
Thanks for the comment, I love both for different reasons!
Nice ,like your style 👌😎☕️ regards Fred
Very nice little score you made there. Dogs are the same across the world, interested in stuff they shouldn't be. Gotta love em' though.
I'm very impressed with this box, I'll definitely get another, thanks for watching!
@@astonishinglyaveragemodeller They do seem to represent a decent value. I am not sure if anyone here in the US offers things like this. I do slot cars as well as a bit of model railroading so I am always looking for a good deal.
I just started watching your channel and I especially enjoy the lack of pretense, much like me. I have been a slot car/model RR'er , since 1963, so I have been exposed to quite a lot. However, I almost always learn something from you creators. I believe we are living in "The Golden Age" of modeling right now. The aftermarket is just mind numbing with it's variation of stuff available. I have enjoyed modeling for some six decades now and I have to say, the internet, UA-cam and folks like you have done more for modeling than any other one thing. Modeling in general was going flat until the word got out via the internet that it was still pretty cool and fun thing to do. Your channel is fun to watch, the best of all reasons to watch. Keep on Keepin' on.
The dog seems to approve
The Rocket box just looks like random junk from down the back of the sofa. The Sawyer models look good value.
I think I agree, not that you can't find some gold down the back of the sofa sometimes!
