That's complete nonsense. What you have is a head condition called laziness. Every single Olympic high jump has been won by a "white" guy going back at least 50 years, if not since the beginning, except for during the 90's. Why? Because skin color has nothing to do with athleticism. It's what you do, how you do it, and for how long you do it that counts.

I went on a court last week and could just barely touch the rim (quite impressive given a 25 year break and 80 extra pounds!!) I've set myself a target to dunk again... will be an awful lot of work to do it. My first target is to grab and hang on to the rim. Will update on progress!!

I'm 5'8'' and I used to have a 48" vert. Let me tell you it takes a huge toll on the body. Not just the power exserted to go up, but us short guys fall further and it's not easy.
you dont fall further... if you jump 48 inches and a 6'6 guy jumps 48 inches, your feet are at the same height. you dont just fall further... and you take less stress because you weigh less.
That's so true. I'm a half inch shorter and my vertical leap measurement was the same. Fast forward now to age 45 I will rarely even do a basic dunk wide open because it hurts so much later that day. My knees have literally almost no cartilage left. smh

I take my hat off to these guys , fantastic. Currently trying to dunk again after 20 years off ! Nearly 40 years of age . Gravity's a bitch but I'm not over the hill yet , I will dunk again and use these guys as inspiration!
in 1985 I was in 11th grade and could dunk at 6'1. That was unusual at the time, as there were not many players dunking at that height. However, the following year, Spud Webb won the dunk contest, and within just a few short years there were tons of under 6 ft players dunking the ball. I suppose gave Spud gave folks confidence.

But clarification, #6 his name is brandon todd not jason todd lol, and porter maberry not marbury, and tone mentioned in one of his vids that he's actually 5'6 not 5'4 and andrew burke cannot dunk without being assisted and using a push off, he posts clips on instagram that he can barely grab rim with 1 hand with fingertips without being assisted, he has not post a single dunk without that guy assisting him and william easton no one knows his real height, the guy on the background just made a judgment "he's like 5'2" is not accurate measurement, on maxpreps website it says he's 5'4 and on some highlight vids says he's 5'3 at 8th grade. Not hating, just some research.. i watch too many dunk vids in the past. But it's the internet no one can really know someone's real height unless measured with proof even on other website stats courtney stephens is 5'4 not 5'3..an inch may not be a big diff but it is when it's the top list of world records. Some honorable mentions also that are great short dunkers, Beard 5'7 from IDF, spud webb 5'7. and honestly dont know if the measurements supposed to be with shoes or without..

#10 Trae Jefferson has an unbelievable ability to jump off one foot. As you can see most of these guys prefer to power off 2 feet. This guys single foot jump form is out of this world. Definetly a great case study for those who want to learn how to jump higher off one foot. Great compilation!

No dudes 5'6 and lower have a 6'4+ wingspan that's like probably completely impossible. Even very few nba players have height to wingspan ratio nearly that high.

This is so embarrassing to watch - I can do high jumps, much taller than backboard, yet I can't dunk for shit. It's not about height I guess it's about technique, training, training, lots of training.
It looks mad better if you're short and do it than when you're tall, because more air time. The taller you are, the more distance is required to get air.

I feel your pain. I'm 5' 10" and could easily reverse dunk. I tore my ACL when I was 21 and worked to get it back and could barely dunk again. By the time I was working in an office and not playing 4-5 times a week, I could barely touch the rim.

Donald Trump lol how am i jealous. I'm stating the facts and correcting the wrong names and i never mentioned myself, i mentioned other short dunkers that aren't on the list. And I have dunked many times already just not consistantly. I at least train even if i'm not gifted. It's more boring to just watch worlds greatest videos and do nothing about urself. #10 Trae Jefferson has an unbelievable ability to jump off one foot. As you can see most of these guys prefer to power off 2 feet. This guys single foot jump form is out of this world. Definetly a great case study for those who want to learn how to jump higher off one foot. Great compilation!

I feel your pain. I'm 5' 10" and could easily reverse dunk. I tore my ACL when I was 21 and worked to get it back and could barely dunk again. By the time I was working in an office and not playing 4-5 times a week, I could barely touch the rim.
