This was really neat and helpful. I have an intake and have been searching for something to do on the exhaust and found nothing until I found this. The only other option was to get a custom one done which can get expensive.
Thanks so much for watching!!
Accord content 🔥 makes me happy to see. I'm dailying a 2.4 L 7th Gen Accord too
Coilover video coming soon!
For those like me that choose to not wait or even order a straight pipe you can can just take the original cat off gut it out completely remove the honeycomb and you will get the same thing as an aftermarket. Just make sure you add a defouler to keep the engine light off.
That's now the only way to get a straight pipe for this car, because they stopped making aftermarket straight pipes for the Accord!!👍
@@Zspeed wait really!? Anywhere they can be found??
None, can't find them anywhere!
@@ZspeedIf you wanna do it the “DIY” way, they sell aftermarket “materials”. The rest is up to you. All I’ll say is that it should be the EXACT same process if you obviously get the matching/proper bolt-on parts.
Most people on a budget have been doing this for years. Destroying the OEM cats is a dumb idea, whether you want (or need) to reinstall them for your own reasons or need to go foe state smog emissions testing. Either that, or you can make some “profit”, if you know what I mean…
Also, if you have money, just invest into high flow cats. On a car like this, unless you’re seriously boosted with forced induction, you’re gonna losing like 5-10 HP TOPS. Most of the time, you’re gonna be losing out on anywhere from as low as 2 HP to 10 HP tops, depending on what size the exhaust parts are. It’s not a huge difference, unless you have a V6 model and are making 280-300+ WHP.
Real helpful and instructional! Good video bro!
the way he talks reminds me of Bob Ross, but for hondas lol :)

question does that test pipe act like a cat? will it still pass emmisions ? i want to do this to my coupe but cant find that part anywhere in stock
I've been trying to look for the same test pipe so I can put 1 in my accord can u link me the website where u got it cuz can't fine it on ebay plz
Hey brotha appreciate the video and the useful tips. Just had a question if you had a link for that model, I’ve been looking around and all I can find is the actual muffler ends. Again thanks for the video definitely helped me decide on straight piping my Accord.
I’ve been looking for this part as well and can’t find it anywhere… any straight pipes I’ve found don’t have any placement for the O2 sensors
Cant find nothing neither so were all in the same boat bro
@@acuralee If you're gonna run a straight pipe, most chances you're still going to get the check engine light code even if the straightpipe comes with a 02 sensor dongle. You're better of going to any muffler shop and ask them to cut off your catalytic converter and replace it with a piece of pipe, won't cost you over 200$ and labor included. I had to do this not for performance gains but because a thief stole my cat, and I didn't want drive all year with headers only until smog comes up, so I basically run my car straight pipe until smog comes and have them straight pipe it again because I'm not dealing with thieves again and having to buy another expensive cat. Good Ole California
Mines was straight piped smelled alot like exhaust & when idled & take off threw black smoke. I just replaced it with a new catylic quieter. But u do feel a lil more torque straight piped.
It's more noticeable at higher speeds, Faster acceleration on the freeway! Thanks so much for watching!
What's the part number for the pipe?
Hey man! If you're still in Bama let me know.I'd be thrilled to pick your brain time to time. Got a few Honda's that I'm slowly modding.
Yes I'm still here, you can contact me @ zspeed2561@gmail.com Thanks so much for watching!!👍🏁💯
I installed a Flowmaster Delta 40 and it gives the 2.4L a nice deep rumble.
Where did you get it bro? Does it fit the 2008?
@@devoonbmx603 Ebay, the delta 40 comes in any configuration for every car.
Sorry, they no longer make straight pipes for the Honda Accord!
I just got my catalalac convertor stolen is it possible for me to do this as a replacement, if I do will this new installment get stolen as well
Yes, this will work as a replacement. I doubt the straightpipe would get stolen because the Catalytic Converter has palladium in it, that's what they're after!!
I have the exact same car, did you have any paint issues yet? Mines rubbing off on my finger and I asked a detailer and he said that it’s because they cheaper out on the black and white paints for the car?
Yes differently, my paint is peeling off around my rear window! But the primer is still holding up! Thanks so much for watching!!!

Tremendous performance piece. Where can you get it and how much does it cost? Thanks.
Sorry, they discontinued production of this product!
what size tires and wheels are on the accord? they look great. I'm guessing 15 inch?
Comes factory on a 16 inch wheel
Hi bro can you explain me what is a benefit if we will install this silencer
It will increase your exhaust flow, which should slightly increase your engine performance (make it faster), but it's not a silencer, it should make your car louder!!!
I have a 2008 Honda Accord Touring here in NZ (Acura TSX North American Model), Would this test pipe work for me?
They no longer make this product, but you should be able to find an exhaust shop that can fabricate this for your car!
I can't find the test pipe anywhere for a 2006 accord 4 cylinder any help.
That straight pipe was discontinued by Megan Racing, Why, I have know idea, great product. Not sure if anyone is making a straight pipe for the 2.5 liter Honda Accord, You may need a shop to fabricate one for you! Hope this helps and thanks for watching !
I have a question about buying the product because it says for off road use only?
That's because some states require yearly or bi-yearly smog certificates, if your car was straight piped it would not pass the smog test.
Question looked this on Megan racing what is the pipe called?? Once more I cannot, find it.
I will find you a link and place it under your comment on Wednesday! Thanks so much for watching!
Here is your link: www.ebay.com/i/333445798540?rt=nc&_trkparms=aid%3D1110006%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.SIM%26ao%3
Give me the link to this test pipe
The copper seal can you use that for any straight pipe kit or ig what’s the requirements to use that
Yes, it definitely works on all applications!
Did you get a check engine light after this ?
Yes, still trying to find the perfect o2 sensor bung extension, have not found it yet! Car will run great even with the o2 sensor code!!
Great video. Only thing I have to say is I don’t think that accord has any actual vtec as we know it. You don’t get a noticeable volume level change once you get to 4500 rpm. Instead the vtec is placed at 2500, meant for usual highway acceleration, and is used to save gas. You can hear a change in the engine tone right about then, too.
As an accord owner I am saddened by this but it is nonetheless true. Until you do a head swap with a tsx head or something, that is.
Helps if you remove the engine cover and exhaust heat shield in the engine bay then you can accually hear the engine
@@WoodTableGuy Is that safe to do?
The 03-07 V6 has true VTEC, and it might be the last Honda to have it.
@El Crab I got an 07accord 3.0 vtec i can Def feel it

Hello sir. I found one on ebay but the guy has it priced at $700. I only found it on one other site and it said it was discontinued.. did it say 700 bucks when you bought it?
No, I only paid a little over a 100 bucks for mine, that's to much! I will try and find you a link for the part later today!

Will this pass emissions? Sorry I know nothing about cars
No, get emissions cleared before installing!
Move to Florida, we obviously don’t care to much about the environment. Lol jk… I’m so glad I was able to find this item. I
i live in birmingham i want to do the same thing

I have 04 Honda Accord can do it to mine
Yes, if you are able to find a straight pipe for sale!
I’ll buy one ☝️
Will it still pass smog?
No, you will have to run a high flow Catalytic converter to pass smog!
Not legal in most states because it replaces the Cat , car will fail emissions..
Best used for track!!!
Looks like a great modification. Times have changed though cause that mod used to be a Federal crime.
Track use only 😄!
Still much more sophisticated than the straight pipe pre rear o2 days. Nice job. See ya on the track.

Unfortunately, they have stopped making straight pipes for the 7th generation Accord. Your only choice now is a high flow cat or a costum installed straight pipe by a muffler shop. I believe the EPA is really cracking down on straight pipes at this point and a high flow cat will soon be your only option!!😫

Most ghetto way to seal your exhaust ever
Wtf guy , no test drive?
Sorry, your right, I should have done a test drive 🚗!!
There is no vtec in these cars and it does not kick in.
Honda says the actual improvement is closer to 10 horsepower. Additionally, Accord’s four-cylinder engine is equipped with Honda’s i-VTEC valvetrain, which means the valve timing is continually adjusted according to conditions for strong torque over the entire rpm range. So it’s responsive at all engine speeds. Yet it delivers excellent fuel mileage: 24/34 mpg City/Highway with the automatic. Check out this video and thanks so much for watching! ua-cam.com/video/V4VC8eeDgYw/v-deo.html
@@Zspeed a real vtec engine with 2400cc of displacement doesn’t make 160bhp... there is vtec ONLY on the intake side and its not even the 3 lobe cam. Technically it “kicks in” at 2400
@Jdm Cars are perfect Stage 2 cams are not compatible with the stock head. In order to run vtec you will need to swap the head. This head cannot have lost motion springs, because it wasn't built to have them. LMS are essesntial for VTEC
@@ahmadamir1694 I think this is why some people put the k20 head on there?
Yes there is! Intake side, dealer did the valve under warranty before I purchased the car. "I-V-TECH" ....INTAKE
Lmao sound like you steal p..... Nvm
Can I throw this on a 2000 Honda accord ?
Yes, but you will have to use a different style straight pipe for a 2000 Accord!
