Best tutorial ! Didn't know how to install the rears until today. Thank you 💯
I just purchased the same coil overs for my Honda. Can’t wait til I put them on
0:07 seconds in and I can tell that this guy is HAPPY!
Very nice step by step instructions....i like your transitions with "BAM" and "Boom", lol
Thanks so much for watching, I appreciate you supporting my channel, your channel ❤ is awesome too!!!
Thanks for sharing boss. No so intimidating that I will try it myself. Love the vid
Thanks so much for watching!!!
They look amazing! I have a sling just like that, I'm seriously thinking about putting your coilovers on it!
Just ordered mine. Def gonna be referring back to your vid for the install
Thanks so much for watching!
Hell yeah! After having a civic EK die on me, I got an accord to be a daily but just wanted it to be a little nicer.
Very nice to see someone work on a Honda accord 7th gen with the maxpeeding rods. Good stuff my guy, great vid 👏🏽
same shi happen to me 97 civic to a 03 accord
Got a 2003 accord v6 coupe 6 speed for my first car about 8 months ago thinking about picking these up thanks for the video explaining how to install them so effectively.
I just got an 07 K24. I have these on order. Can't wait to slap them on.
Thanks so much for watching!🏁👍
This old guy riceing out the Accord I love it haha
🤣
Rice's ass she got a k24 bub, ain't no d or b series
Age has ain’t got nothing to do with it bro it’s all about loving and taking care of your Honda I’m 54 and started driving Hondas in 1985 and have owned numerous models my current models are a 2000 accord 3.0 V6 and a 2006 2.4 l K-24 269,300 K miles runs and shifts like a sewing machine its my super reliable stand by and last but certainly not least my speed Demon a 2010 3.5 V6 coupe with gutted cats and muffler delete and flow master super 110’s go figure the accord in his is the same as my 06 has been extremely reliable
How about the ride and how well do they absorb bumps 🤔💯⚠️
Is that an Acura RL. 3.5 in your driveway 🤔
are we not gonna talk about how clean this 03-07 accord under carriage is
thanks for your tutorial man! im a lot less intimidated by this now. you laid it all out great. definitely dropping my accord next summer. extra points for the torque specs!
Thanks so much for watching!
@@Zspeed might have missed it but what size are those wheels you have on there?
205/55/16R
Agreed definitely going to get the same ones💯
I would love to lower my 2006 Accord. Looks sick!
Thanks for this! I bought my 1st BMW 330i with some junk ebay coilovers on it and had a hell of a time getting them set right. had to delete the front sway bar and get rear adjustable rods and just had a bunch of issues. It rides great now but squeaks terrible. My girl has a 03 Accord 4 door that I put stock 17s on from my daughters crashed 06 coupe. I'm getting ready to paint the car Nardo grey and now she wants it lowered and I said no fricken way until I found your video. For under $300 and a couple hours in the garage I'm going to do it! Happy wife happy life! I'm trying to avoid buying her a new car so I've added the Xtrons stereo, dash cam, backup cam, new speakers and remote start. Once it's painted and on coilovers it should buy me a couple years! LOL Thanks again
Thanks so much for watching, the Truhart coilovers will last a lot longer than the Maxpeedingrods and cost about $500.00. Don't forget to subscribe!!!
@@Zspeed shoot I already bought them. They showed up today! Oh well if she gets a couple years out of them I'll be happy.
I absolutely love your voice overs bro!!! Can’t wait to see how these look dropped! I ordered that Megan racing test pipe (wasn’t easy to find) but it came in early this morning and now my check engine light is gone (also got a new denso O2 sensor) love the way it sounds even with the stock muffler!
Awesome brother, thanks so much for watching!!!
DENSO EVERYTHING LOL but like for real I still need to buy a new/refurbished Denso IACV because mines was stuck took it apart and cleaned it now it works like new. I hate when I buy a "genuine honda part" and the part is a Chinese no brand junk that actually doesn't even work the car computer is probably saying "can't read Chinese so no work try again with DENZO" 🤣
Yeah he does have a very pleasant voice over I first started watching his videos I was like man this guy’s voice is much more pleasant to listen to I think he’s a southerner if not mistaken
Where you find your test pipe?
i have had mXr coils on my 2005 accord since july of 2020, and it's now march 29, 2022.
you WILL have immense trouble trying to get both the front and the rear OEM suspension out. those things barely fit in as is, so have a buddy help you out, and watch your ABS sensors in the rear.
i can say that the first problem you'll run into is the struts squeaking. just use some decent lubricant and you'll be okay. the next thing is that the rears sit like monster trucks with proper preload adjustment, so you may need to do some fenagling to get it to sit lower (watch out for rear camber and toe-in though!). also, the spring rates are 10k front and 6k rear, which is not that stiff. if you wanna go low, seek other coilovers. the aforementioned rev9s have 12k/8k, which is better, i guess. the spring ID is 70.5mm, so good luck trying to find stiffer spring replacements lol. other than that, i've had no issues since then, but i'm losing trust for them slowly. my advice would be to save your cash and buy some rev9 hyper street IIs. especially since not all mXr coils for these cars have adjustable damping, because mine do not, unfortunately.
honestly, though, these coils are nowhere near as bad as your typical suspension snobs will say. they've lasted me this long anyways. so if you're tight on cash, go for it. great video, z-speed!
Great video! One of the best DIY vids I've seen... I have the same yr accord that I use as a daily and am considering buying same Maxpeeding coilovers... I've read in some reviews that they make knocking sounds... Was curious if you experienced that?
Yes, after a few months they started to fail, I would recommend checking out Truhart coilovers!! Thanks so much for watching!
I just ordered the exact same set of these and color for my Honda 2010 3.5 V6 coupe currently $269.00 EBay was $538.00
Thanks man
Need new shocks/struts on my accord, looks like I know what I’ll be replacing them with! Your accord is super clean btw!
are they worth it?
TRUHART StreetPlus coilovers might last longer, price $680.00.
@@Zspeed Thanks!
I actually didnt have to separate the knuckle from the upper control arm. There is a way to manuever the strut out the rear of the wheel well if you move the sensor cable out the way.
Thanks for sharing 👍!!!
I got the same car. Daily driven. No way I change Orem suspension rides perfect no matter the wheel gap 😂
The OEM strut won’t slide through and make contact with control arm if you had properly tightened the secure lock bolt to the collar you won’t believe how many Honda’s I’ve come across that had suspension work done with the strut collar secure bolt outright missing or half tightened 😂
Can I ask what size are your wheels ? I am trying to get 18x8.5 +35 and get coilovers don't want to lower it a lot.
Tire size is 205/55/16.
just wondering are you still rocking those coilovers?? I'll love to hear a small summary on how they been doing for you and were they worth it? not just because they send you some free coilovers but personally I wonder how do they do on bumps and potholes and smooth road and much more!!
im deciding from Truhart or Maxspeedingrods.. what you think z-speed?
Truhart might last longer than Maxpeedingrods.
Maxpeedingrods started out great, but after a few months they started to rapidly lose their dampening abilities! You really do get what you pay for. I would recommend you spend more money on something like BC coilovers or Truhart coilovers!
Hello I’m working on it now and for the 17mm do I screw the front or the bolt?
No release the nut first, then tap the bolt out. Don't forget to use PB blaster. Thanks for watching!!!
Great video. Looking to install these on a 2012 Accord. How similar is the installation? Thx.
It should be very similar to this 2006!
Where’d you get the wheels and would they fit my 06’ automatic accord also if I don’t lower my car?
Yes, Konig Backbone matte black 16x7"
Did it lower down any after it set up a little? Also, did you go get an alignment?
Yes and yes 👍!!! Thanks so much for watching 🏁
I have a question, what is a 'reflash' for these 2.4's and are you going to do it to this one.
When you reflash your car, it basically means that your going to upgrade your computer software that manages your engine! So that will not be needed for this installation!! Thanks so much for watching!
@@Zspeed wish me luck Z-speed I'm about to buy an 07 automatic i4 with 260k. Body is clean the only thing is she said
it burns a little oil. Hopefully it's just the PCV valve.
What size rims?
Hey, what size and brand of rims are those?
Love the content!
Thanks so much for watching!
Great video! How low was the car after you Installed the coil overs?
Two fingers!
Nice. What size are your wheels and tires?
Konig Backbone matte black 16x7 "
Does this Coilovers will fit on Acura tl 06? Love the content 👍
Check the Maxpeedingrods website for information about the Acura TL, thanks so much for watching!👍🏁
Do you know if this kind of coilovers fits a Acura TL 2007 ?
Check their website for details on the TL!
Forget the suspension. Get a windshield!
Hey ZSpeed have you tested it on the high way how is it ?
Great ride for about 3 months, then they started losing their ride quality! I would recommend Truhart coilovers now, better quality, and they only cost around 500.00 or so! Thanks so much for watching!
speaking from experience, on highways, these things ride pretty good. i don't use the highway a lot, so i didn't notice a change in ride quality after a while. i agree with z-speed on this one tho. truharts or rev9s would be better.
So these don't last long, can you explain what this means? does the car become undrivable, shock leaks, etc?
They tend to lose their dampening ability rather quickly, so large dips or speed bumps lead to the car bottoming out! I will be installing Truhart Streetplus coilovers soon with a video that explains the problems with the Maxpeedingrods! www.kseriesparts.com/TRU-TH-H808.html?gclid=CjwKCAiAzrWOBhBjEiwAq85QZ4q-O0UNRGN7HQ_pQKgGnSntuNqc4PXWw6kygkBcdUJiIe7iS_EC_RoCizAQAvD_BwE
the fronts become a little bouncier over time, and the fronts tend to squeak after about a year or so. i wouldn't say undrivable tho. no leaks yet on mine, since i have the non-adjustable damping.
Is fully extended the same height as OEM?
Should be very close!
Looks nice, unfortunately not practical for a daily for me. I would be scraping the bottom all day long.
honestly, you can max out the rears and not scrape at all. if you match body height in the front, you should have minimal problems. that's my current setup right now, and it does just fine on oklahoma roads. hope this helps!
I had those a few years back. They blew in about 3 months
They just started making popping noises 💀!
@@Zspeed mine bottomed out and made noises.
@@Zspeed Yikes ! I knew the price was too good to be true ..
Yeah, they didn't last very long, try Truhart coilovers!
@@Zspeed you should do a review since the install.
Where can I buy them for my 2006 Honda Accord
Thre is a link below the video!
I was trying to buy the Coilovers and use your code but it was just giving me 10% off not 15 can you let me know thanks
Yes, this code still works, use code ZSPEED at the end when paying for the product!! Thanks so much for watching!
It works but just takes 10% not 15% but I’ll try again thanks and awesome content 👏👊
Can these coilovers fit 04-06 TSX ?
Check Maxpeedingrods website for fitment details! Thanks for watching!👍🏁
Sir what is the size of your accord rims? And tire size?
Konig Backbone 16x7" rims with stock tire size!!
@@Zspeed the stock is the tire size is 215/60/R16 ?
205/55/16
does it handle better? Better gas mileage?
Gas mileage unchanged, much better when cornering!
great video but that "speed sensor" is actually a ABS sensor. Speed is measured in the transmission.
The abs sensor is called the wheel speed sensor, of the wheel speed doesn't match on all 4 wheels, that means the wheel is slipping which engages the abs.
how they hold up after 2 years ?
They don't hold up that well over time, Turhart or Raceland coilovers might last longer!
@@Zspeed ok thanks
Did you max out the rear coil?
Almost!
@@Zspeed when you max it out, do you go lower or go higher? I left the preload and I don’t like the ride height, I want to go lower
Should I roll my fenders? I have the exact car
No, you shouldn't have to roll your fenders!
@@Zspeed Awesome. Thank you. I have 17 inch 245 60 TSW wheels
Are your coils maxed out!?
Yes they are!!
Wanted to get a pair for my accord but everyone keeps telling me these are horrible quality and won’t last long
That's true, they don't last that long. For longer lasting coilover's try Truhart coilover's.
I can see you lower the car can you raise the car instead using those coil overs I have a accord but I 20 inches rims on my car and hits on top every time I go thru a bump
Check Maxpeedingrods website for the max ride height available for their coilovers! Hope it works for you!👍
@@Zspeed thank you for replying the comment I will check with them
Where,how can I look for rims ??
Konig Backbone matte black 16x7"/5×114.3mm
@@Zspeed thank yu i have an 06 2 door
Wheels brand and size please
Konig backbone rims!
That’s the lowest they go?
That's it, as low as they go!!
@@Zspeed it's a good height for everyday driving
Should be okay, but it's very low!!!
@@Zspeed I'm not sure if that's the lowest. 2 finger gap is under 2". It's the spec of the coils up to 3" ?
@@Zspeed I saw that the rears you installed with atleast an inch of thread showing. Could you not move it all the way up?
He is only doing 35mph...so can't really tell if it's good or not 🤣
Everything but the music...
trash company.
they have a good mission and they have good intentions, but they're actively working on their product quality from what i understand.
What is your opinion of this product I have it in my ebay car but I see them so cheap 230 dollars that it makes me a lot of noise so cheap that later it caused some problem to my car🤔
I would go with something like Truhart coilovers, Maxpeedingrods start off okay, but don't last long at all before they fail!!
@@Zspeed ok thanks brother it's the same answer that I see in all the videos so cheap but they are not good 🤦 but thanks for everything
