    Glad to see some great real-world use of the 03 with the ND filters. Really helps the way the sun appears in the footage. I think I'm finally sold on DJI with the new system.

      It's pretty great and there is definitely more flexibility with the footage than I demonstrated. I honestly haven't noticed the lag being an issue for me. This video was all filmed in 4k 60fps which is the "high quality" mode.

    I JUST Subscribed!! what an amazing video. I just received my first quad in the mail 2 days ago, A Flywhoo baby hexnano 4S. This hobby is incredible. We all dreamed about this as kids...LOL and the new DJI air unit looks absolutely amazing. You don't even need a GOPro anymore for beautiful flight video. But Holy Crap, the depth of knowledge that can go into FPV blows my mind. I can tell him going to be at this for years.😆

      Most definitely! When in doubt throttle out!!! I think probably throttle, roll, pitch, yaw in that order but when I fly I don’t think. It’s like driving.

      Its going to be tough buying in again. But the only way to get your money's worth with DJI is to get into their products earlier before the next iteration. I have two V1 headsets and a ton of air units. Between the Oled screens on the V2 goggles and the 03 unit the improvements are clearly visible and tangible. I plan on having the new setup by next summer.

      @drelephanttube no other reason than I don't like the saggy feeling I get from 4s. This was my first ever "micro" build, and I just wanted to prove I could. It doesn't mean you should. This quad flies well on 4s if that's how you want to build it.

    • @MurdersFPV
      @MurdersFPV  Рік тому

      If you want the same or similar flight characteristics then I don't have any recommendations. If your concern is props in view I'm assuming you want a cinematic drone and for that I'd recommend a cinewhoop. If you're looking to freestyle then props in view shouldn't be a concern that outweighs flight characteristics and performance. Your only options are quads that have a strange center of gravity such as a Deadcat style frame.

    Newer to FPV. Currently I have a 5 inch drone (Source One V5). Been debating what to build as my second and this Quadmula F3 is on the list. Is there a benefit to building this kind of 3 inch over a 5 inch other than weight restrictions? Does it feel similar to a 5 inch when flying?

    • @MurdersFPV
      @MurdersFPV  Рік тому +1

      This particular build actually does fly very similar to a 5" build. There is a power difference of course but there is definitely enough power to rip around obstacles like a 5". The one thing you do need to get used to is using all of its available momentum. It doesn't fling like a 5" because it is so lightweight but once you get used to the throttle in regards to flinging it you will get the hang of it.

    Nice! Flying with that ND filter makes a world of difference. I've seen a lot of reviews now and most are not using a filter but the ones that do make the footage look so much better. The shadows will always be a little too dark with DJI but besides that I'd be willing to ditch the GoPro for a lot of flying with this system. I've heard there's a 4k 100 fps with the Goggles 2, or 4k 120 fps option with the V2 goggles for recording. If that's true I'd be interested to see some slow motion footage of the system.

    • @MurdersFPV
      @MurdersFPV  2 роки тому +1

      So I flew all day yesterday and I did so on the 4k 100fps setting and I honestly was not able to get the footage to play nice with the footage in this video. This was all 4k 60fps. With the 4k 60fps I can change my sequence to 29.97 fps and get the footage to look far more "cinematic" with very little effort. I feel like the 100fps footage is very difficult to work with and I'd honestly suggest using the Goggles V2 for that kind of stuff because at least 120fps works well in the 29.97 sequence.

I was hoping for a high quality BNF under 250g mini quad that has or is capable of housing the 03 Air, but I don't see anything available right now. Awesome flying! I'm just getting into the hobby and looking to build my first quad hopefully with an O3. Would you be open to doing a start to finish step by step video of this build? Love the idea of the smaller form factor of a 3" since there aren't a lot of open spaces near me to fly. Granted is it possible to get more than 3 minutes flight time? Or would you have to go to a 5" to get that?

    • @MurdersFPV

      It's more a limitation of the battery and the fact that this quad is staying under 250g. You could absolutely build something like this with stronger motors and carry a larger battery. Flight experience would be even better but you would weigh more than 250g.

    @hallfatherofthree7022 2 роки тому

    Great flying and a great video! Keep up the good work. Appreciate that you took time to read the many comments also. I was wondering what the weight of the quad is without the battery? Is that 380 mah 6s hv battery the sweet spot for power to weight ratio or could you go with like a 6s 450 to get longer flight times without it feeling too heavy? I know there’s diminishing returns if you get a battery that is too heavy. I would be happy with about 4.5 to 5 minutes flight time with less aggressive acro flying but still keeping it under 250g. I was just wondering what your thoughts were on battery choices for the build vs flight time and flight performance.

    • @MurdersFPV
      @MurdersFPV  2 роки тому +1

      So I don't really do anything special to try and save weight. I just did this build with the intention to see if it would end up under 250g and it easily made it. To that end I would say these batteries are absolutely the sweet spot. A lot of this build hinges on those batteries for the purpose of keeping it below the 250g weight AND making it a fun flight experience with a reasonable flight time. If you aren't flying aggressively and just cruising/exploring you will get close to about 5 minutes with these packs.
