What rod are you using nice action. Looks like an early flatty fanatic
Yes its similar to one of them, its a really old rod that I got off my dad years ago.

since the pier is going to be shut for god knows how long can you recomend any other places to fish for mackerel for the upcoming summer .what that rock edge you fished where you caught the colefish called
I've heard they're jumping onto Littlehaven beach at last light the last few nights chasing the baitfish, quite a few getting caught
Nice one Gary from GRIMSBY
Thanks Carl.
Can i use my freshwater trout rod for this? or do i need to buy new reels and rods?
if it's a strong enough rod, then yes, I dont see why not.
Yep good to see and o e of my regular spots
That's the furthest I've fished up the river in all these years, it's a canny good spot to fish. Think I'll be having a few more trips up there in the summer.
You can get whiting there at times also coalies and smelt. It’s just in the way back to the office from my daughters school so regularly steal an hour
Do they get big enough to eat? Looks like fun.
