Following up the "He's absolutely definitely a boom or bust prospect" on Ansah with 'Meh' cracked me up so hard 😂😂😂
They literally know nothing, it’s amazing. Being dead wrong while trying to hedge your bets lol
I mean it was true though. He boomed HARD and then busted HARD. Innuendos aside lol.
@@einzelganger6664pause
I cackled too! lmao
@@einzelganger6664 pause
David Bakhtiari, Kelce, Hopkins, Lane Johnson and Keenan Allen. Of the top 5 players to come out of this draft, 2 1st rounders, 2 3rds and a fourth.
Forgot about Tyrann Matheiu too
Seriously, only Lane Johnson was a worthy pick that high up in the 1st round. Pretty horrific draft tbh.
@@eggoslayer1001Weak first round but relatively deep. 24 total all pros with 11 coming out of the first. The 09 class had 6 total with a single all pro coming from a first rounder.
4:18 AYO 🤨 📸
Don’t forget Darius Slay for the Lions in the second round.
i’ve been waiting so long for another one of these
What I remember most about this draft was all the "experts" absolutely slamming the Cowboys over the Travis Frederick 12:18 selection for being a "third round talent" and a "giant reach". They did not hold back and were totally wrong.
They are wrong a lot
6 total IOLs drafted in the first round and only Frederick was worth the pick lol
Lol the dudes evaluating these players haven't put on pads since peewee football, its best just to ignore them and trust in your teams player evaluators over some old white guy sitting behind a desk
@@charlieatwork76 well that’s perfectly put. I know they are just trying to fill up airtime and have to talk on espn but they are wrong more then correct. It has kinda turned me away from now hardly watching sports talk shows
@@rickytavilla4259 Sports talk shows are designed to drive narratives and engage audiences. Unless someone dies or something beyond miraculous happens in the world of sports you wont find legitimate commentary or opinions, they're just trying to start drama. "Cowboys draft area of need in a deep OL class" sounds way more boring than "Cowboys reach on a center who wouldve been there round 3! Is this the end?". At the end of the day, your average junior scouting assistant for any of the 32 nfl teams has watched more tape and grasps the potential of certain prospects better than these talking heads ever do
Rest in peace DJ Hayden.
I totally forgot how god-awefull this draft was 😂😂
God I miss Travis Fredrick, one of the most impressive centers in the league, prime Tyron Smith, Zach Martin and him were unreal
Would’ve been a shoe in HOF along with the other two if he played longer smh I’m hoping he still makes it even if it takes some time
Mayock’s takes explain why his Gm stint went how it did.
i mean, whats he expected to say live on the air with thousands watching? “all these professional athletes are probably gonna be mid or suck hairy ass”? nfl draft prospects are virtually impossible to infallibly judge until they’re on the field on sunday
@@cool61911 honestly so many people talking that have never evaluated talent in their life
Mike mayock is awful
Wow, I knew that was an awful draft, but when Eric Fisher was one of the top 6 or 7 players, you know its an awful draft year.
2013 was very underwhelming. Certainly the worst NFL draft in recent memory.
But if you think this is historically bad, look up 1992 and 1984.
Edit: On second thought, 2015 might be even worse, and has nobody who is likely to become a future Hall of Famer. Whereas 2013 does have a couple later on, but is still underwhelming.
Seems to happen when there is a great draft close by. 2011 and 2013. 1983 and 1984.
@@fortynights1513 The class of 1984 was gutted by the USFL. In my lifetime, I think that 2002, 2009 and 2013 were also weak classes.
@@ilikeamazon I could see those three being considered weaker.
1984 is certainly watered down by the USFL, but it is one of the worst as is. If all players the USFL drafted were there as well, it’d be considered at least ok (Reggie White, Steve Young, and Gary Zimmerman would be three Hall of Famers)
@@fortynights1513 OH I AM FULLY AWARE! 1984 especially. Ernie Acorsie talks about why he took Elway knowing he wouldnt play for the colts, was in part because 1984 draft was awful (Source Elway to Marino 30 for 30)
i love how mayock is always wrong
It’s hilarious to me that an actual NFL team was willing to hire him at a very high level position. He always looked to me like a guy who talked a good game but was full of ish a lot of the time.
Big a55 FAX! I see why he bombed as a GM.
😅
I wa surprised to see that they had Kenny Vacarro and Eric Reid as ‘meh’ picks. I guess holding down a starting position for 99% of games played over like 9 seasons isn’t respectable enough lol
The tavon austin one hurt me, I remember being 13 years old swearing he was gonna be a top 10 receiver in the league.
He just wasn’t used right
@@vince11harris and he had butter fingers and fumble problems
@@vince11harris he was shorter than your mom dude. foh clown

Holy crap calling Kyle Long a meh for the bears is a terrible opinion someones gotta say it. Love these videos, as a bears fan not standing for any Kyle king slander, he held the guard stable for years and years
Yeah he was the only good Linemen the bears had from that time up until 2018
The people who made this are casuals. Star lotulelei was holding down in the trenches with kawaan short and helped get them to the Super Bowl. And Kenny vaccaro was solid
These hit, miss, meh videos are always super tough
Talent wise he was a stud for sure, but he legit couldn't stay healthy past year 3. "Meh" is harsh, but understandable.
Also it depends on what your definition of Hit or Meh is. As a Vikings fan I know people who would agree Cordarelle Patterson is a hit based on his All Pro returning but there is a section that will say he’s meh because his great returns are overshadowed by the fact we drafted him to play receiver and could not run routes in his time here.
I’d call Kyle Long a hit. His health issues started with a bad injury that would be hard for anyone to come back from. Not like it was a lack of conditioning that caused it
Agreed but Desmond is a hit ? Meh at best
Thank you along with winning a title he was great
@@aceassn716 exactly! He had his ankle rolled up on and destroyed during a game. Not like he was dealing with soft tissue injuries and non contact stuff like some of the other guys on this list
Not only that, but at that point, we are in the mid first round.
Getting 3 cost controlled pro bowl seasons from an offensive lineman that you drafted in the second half of round 1 is always a hit. It's unfortunate he had injuries but 3 pro bowl seasons is nothing to complain about especially when quite a few first round offensive lineman end up being total busts.
The crazy thing about this draft class is that despite being one of the weakest in recent memory, at least 3 members of this draft class helped the Chiefs to end their championship drought in Super Bowl 54 (Eric Fisher, Tyrann Mathieu, and of course, Travis Kelce).
Redo the draft and the chiefs take Kelce first overall
They’re making my boy Mike mayock look bad here 🤣
These names take me back to my childhood when I used to follow the draft as if I was a full time NFL GM.
Lane Johnson has without any doubt been the most reliable offensive lineman over the past decade!
He's the best offensive lineman in the league

Love these Hit, Meh, or Busts videos.
Lane Johnson is going to be a first ballot HOFer. Dude hasn’t allowed a sack for two years!
Nothing against Fischer who’s been good too, but among the guys who could have gone first, it probably should have been Johnson.
@FortyNights not probably obviously lol fisher is a average to food tackle wich is mot what you want the the first overall pick. But this draft class was awful so in context not a bad pick besides the fact that they could of picked lane.
2:46 “made stops in washington before washing out of the league” is savage
I’m so glad that nfl throwback is posting again
I love these videos! Keep up the great work
2013 draft sucked for the most part, but I remember before the draft not being overly excited about it
Some years back, the nfl network had a marathon of the draft from like 2010, onward. After the 2012 draft, it went right to the 2014 nfl draft. They didn't even air the 2013 draft. That was telling.
I can see why the raiders are struggling so much. Mayock doesn't know what he's doing
So many unintentional stray bullets fired at the commentators.
"He's a plug and play starter from day 1" MISS
"For me, he does everything" MISS
I binged watch this bro I love these
Love how you insert “miss” right after Mike Mayock’s thoughts about Luke Joekel 😂😂
The worst draft in NFL history.
No, it would be the 1992 draft
@@ladawncunningham1489 1991 draft is up there too.
@@christiandejesus7648 you right
1992 and 1984 are worse in my opinion, but in recent memory, this is the worst.
I love these videos! Would be cool if y’all did ones from the 90’s, 80’s and so forth. I would say the first draft but that was like 12 or 15 rounds 😂😂
Drafts in the 40’s were like 20 or 30 rounds at some points.
The draft was 12 rounds in the early 90’s, I’ll say that.
@@fortynights1513 Yeah thats true, They were with only like 5-10 players drafted in each round lol Hard to count those years since the Merger didn’t happen till 66.
@@Tidrus Merger technically happened in 1970, with the common draft starting in 1967.
There were more rounds and fewer teams before that.
Holy bananas I love these videos glad one came out today thank you 🙏
Damn mayock missed on Luke and Dion with those comparisons
You're Awesome NFL Throwback 🏈🏉 Keep Up The Good Work 👍
That was fun to watch. More like that please
Love these !! More plz
It’s crazy that the eagles was impacted so much in this draft drafting lane and zach ertz while now having darius slay and even having chance warmack help win a Super Bowl
Its absolutely crazy how the Seahawks ended up with 7 of the top 13 picks being on their team at some point. (Joeckel, Jordan, Ansah, Mingo, Warmack, Fluker, and Richardson specifically)
For a while Pete REALLY liked to give guys that flamed out, but once had potential a shot. IMO I thought Fluker was the best out of all of em.
please do more of these!
The 2013 draft, or as I like to call it, that weird draft where the top 2 picks were tackles(and three of the first four picks).
Wow, so many busts taken high in the draft.
I missed thsee type of videos
At least they show highlights for the misses I would have showed lowlights 😂😂😂😂😂
I would love for NFL Throwback to post this 2013 draft video when we get closer to Draft Week along with 2008, please.
2013 was such a low bar Eric Fisher was a hit lmao
When are yall gonna do 2020 and 2019? Love these video
I’d say not until a few years down the road. Hard to judge that class cuz they were fairly recent, I’d say maybe 2 even 3 years we’ll see one. Unless the pushing content then maybe sooner 🤷🏽♂️
We need more of this
The lineman draft
I love this series
Oh boy, here we go
Eric Fisher and Lane Johnson are clearly the best awesome players from that 2013 draft in the NFL after all both guys won super bowl champions from there respectful teams
DeAndre Hopkins will make the HOF one day
@thelegendary1 Oh hell without a doubt D-Hop is such a beast his ball skills is crazy he's a one of a kind true superstar and mostly a big baller shot caller on the field but hopefully he does need a super bowl ring and if does get it then Canton OH will give him a call that's for sure
@@Terror832 LMAO
If Fisher hadn't gotten hurt in the 2021 AFC championship, it's possible he would have had 2 rings. Or at least helped make the game closer
@@ryaneugenelawrencewalls1987 Fisher has a teammate from that draft class that’s pretty good too. Some tight end in the third round from Cincinnati.
I was so high on Werner this draft LOL. I mean dudes last season at FSU was crazy and watching this dude play he looked like an NFL talent for real.
He was already massivly Injuried coming into the NFL, having massiv Problems with his kness, which he almost have until today
one of the worst drafts ever... yikes
“Injuries” sidelined Reid and not being Blackballed is some real revisionists history
I thought I was hearing things or NOT hearing things , as the case may be. I said : wait, wasn't it about the Kap brouhaha?!
I need more of these
It's sad how most of these top 10 picks didn't become anything. I hope for nothing but success for these upcoming draft prospects!
I remember Cowboys fans hating the Travis Frederick pick. Now we hate the fact that he had to retire early. He was going to be a Hall of Famer.
so happy we got lane, dude has been a beast for a decade
Is it bad that I had no clue who 2 ppl were in the top 3?
I did not know that Cordarrelle Patterson was a first round pick! I was thinking about him earlier in the video and was like... is he a hit? He's obviously talented, but he's bounced around quite a bit, also he probably didn't go in the first round. Then he shows up later in the video!
This video feels like a roast of Mike Mayock as much as it does a review of the first round lol.
Good job on the video.
Great Video and reminds me how bad Mike Mayock was. Apparently the Raiders never watched NFL Network or they never would have hired him to be GM
How tf are Eric Reid, Kyle Long, and Tyler Eifert Mehs but Eric Fisher is a Hit???
Because muh KC. Mahomes escapability makes him look better then he is.
Warmack was pretty good as a swing tackle/guard for the Eagles during their 2017 Super Bowl run
He hardly played for the Eagles that year, and Stefen Wisniewski beat him out. It’s cool that he got a ring though.
I really love how the 3rd round had a guy way more talented than almost everyone in the first 2 rounds. The Honey Badger should've been early first round but drug suspensions said otherwise
I like when the scout say something and the result is different. Lol thats why I think I can be a scout too lol.
Barkevious Mingo.... that's a name that shows up on the East/West College Bowl.
Eagles fan here. I love me some Lane Johnson. What a beast
Without question Corrdarell Patterson is a badass in the NFL like what's not to love from the former volunteer out of Tennessee? He's the real deal
Been a bust his entire career with the exception as returner and RB in 2021
@@Rizzy_K 🤡
@Rizzy_K At the very least he won a super bowl ring with the Pats in 2018 after 1 entire year with the Raiders
Kyle Long was well.on his way to an outstanding career with the Bears! He was dominant in those first 3 seasons, and 4out of his first 6...
But injuries destroyed him. Absolutely ruined his career going forward. He never recovered to play at the same level, even though, at just 70% healthy, he was still as good or better than A LOT of O-linemen.
Tavon Austin was never used correctly by Jeff Fisher
I think this draft proved one very important thing: Mike Mayock was never going to be a good GM if someone decided to bring him in. It seems he took his bad predictions with him to the Raiders if their drafting record while he was there was anything to go by.
My favorite series!!
Same
😂 was that dancing Lane Johnson called himself doing
Barkevious Mingo, all time great nfl name!!
I wish there was thought out into this, or inside added, it feels like you look at a box score and give analysis. Fischer is a bust as a #1 overall pick and the rams traded a ton to move up to get Austin. Huge busts.
Idk I think getting a starting caliber player is always a hit for teams. Like yea it's great it hit on superstars, but getting solid contributors is a win.
Jonathan Cooper also played for the pats, we traded him for chandler jones
So let me get this straight Eric fisher is the number one pick gets 2 pro bowl appearances and is a hit but Kyle long is the 20th pick makes 3 appearances and is a meh?
Barely 30 seconds into the video and we already have our first big Mel Kiper oof.
I Love Travis Kelce As The Best Tight End In Football 🏈🏉
I remember watching this draft, I miss Frederick being on the Cowboys 😢
Jarvis Jones was so good in college!!
New England loves you Cordarelle
Not a great class
3rd round grade on Travis Frederick
Yet he was even a gm on an nfl team
KTO did it first!
Hopkins and Frederick and Johnson were the best guys end of the first round was the best
Man, 3 picks for the Vikings in the first round -- 2 hits and 1 "meh" but only because of a botched knee surgery that ended Floyd's career prematurely. He was a stud before the surgery.
Vikings haven't seen NEARLY as impactful a draft as 2013 since.
Just got done with the 2018 draft, I realize the drafts over with but I kind of like how the persons name is shown on the screen after the choice instead of before
I love hearing the analysts talk about how good these dudes are, followed by either a "meh" or "miss" 🤣
