“This guy is the absolute best at his position!”
MISS
“Yikes, that is a surprising pick here…”
HIT
Draft analysts be like:“I Don’t Agree With This One John”
Proceeds to be a Future Hall of Famer
“That dude was kicked off his college team” “HIT!” “He is a lockdown cornerback”
That's what's so great about collecting all of the draft preview magazines. It is so much fun to read the old ones and see how crazy bad the takes on players were.
@@thebrockman12 it’s because of the hair
It’s hilarious because it was Mike Mayock saying everything. Idk why Oakland hired his ass 😂😂
Shaq Thompson is a hit. Picked late first for the Panthers and he’s still there with consistent performances. He’s maybe not a superstar but u need these players for your franchise
@@ronnie0392 He's had 100 tackles the last 3 years. he only took a while to pop because he was behind Kuechly and Thomas Davis
@Robert Reital he’s one of the Panthers best defensive players and a team captain. I’d say it’s a hit.
@Robert Reital Agreed
@Robert Reital nah dude he’s a hit. States say otherwise
played against him in high school and he scored 7 TDs against us in 4 different ways (receiving, passing, running and returning) 😂😂
As a Rams fan, it's so sad to see Todd Gurley out of the league. His prime may have been short but he was fun to watch. Hope he's enjoying retirement.
Nowadays we don’t see as many running backs go as high as he did it feels.
Feel you my ramiliy
Even if his prime was short due to issues he had prior to draft, there was no question it was the right pick in my mind. Helped make them a powerhouse.
Fellow Rams fan. I agree. Gurley was a really good player. Shame he had knee issues.
Gurley was on a HoF pace if his knees didn’t turn to dust. Will always wear his jersey with pride
This draft is brutal.
It looks worse 'cos guys are labelled 'meh' when they're still productive starters for their teams 8 years later.
@@Grayth1985 fr Leonard Williams is totally a hit, if he wasn't he wouldn't be top-5 highest paid player at his position
@@laurinnn getting paid doesn’t make you a hit besides his first two seasons he hasn’t been a top level player at his position
@@Grayth1985 I don't think being a consistent starter is a hit. I think it's fair giving a meh to someone who has been a starter but has never amassed any elite production, because usually that's why you draft 1st rounders, for elite talent. Just having a league average starter is somewhat meh when you invest that high of a pick.
@@OkagaCalifornia Agree to disagree. I think pick 17 from 8 years ago still being a nailed-on starter on the best D line in the league is a hit. Picks 25 and 27 also good solid NFL players.
Arik Armstead is a hit. He is a top 10 interior pass rusher...
Fr he’s a beast
Seahawks fan, and Armstead is a good player
Definitely better than meh
He didn't get 48.5 guaranteed cuz he's meh. Lol
He definitely is a hit. Keep starting for 49ers. Packers fan here
Byron Jones was a great shutdown corner for a few seasons he just never had any INTs so people thought he was trash. I’d call him one of few hits of the first round easily
for that draft class hit, in general just meg. but i agree, he had a few rly good seasons and gets too much hate
As a Cowboy fan he was put in a bad position at Safety by his stupid coaches, by then his contract was up when they utilized him correctly
@@VADallasCowboysFan understandable
He was a solid secondary guy. He could cover in man and in space, and rarely gave up big plays. Whoever does these videos need to brush up on what “hit” and “meh” really are.
Agreed.
Knocking Shaq Thompson for not being a tackling machine his first few years while he was playing next to LUKE KUECHLY and THOMAS DAVIS says a lot about the knowledge here
I mean, that SHOULD be to his benefit. Because he was lined up next to those guys, they should be drawing the tackles in freeing up Shaq to get the backs or QB. The fact he still didn't is a bit meh worthy.
@@jacobwilliams1223 it’s not about freeing up when Luke and Thomas Davis just gets the tackle lol
@@jacobwilliams1223 It was gonna be hard to get to the tackle quicker than Luke when he knew where the ball was gonna be before the opposing QB set the play
100%. He’s been one of the best linebackers in the league since those two retired. You’re going to have less opportunities when you’re playing behind a HOFer and an All Pro.
@@jacobwilliams1223I would maybe lean towards hit for Thompson if only because we are later in the round at that point.
Amari Cooper looks like the best player in the first round. He’s quietly put up 8,000 receiving yards since being drafted in 2015.
Raiders got none of that production tho
@@cooperpaddison5657 He had two 1,000 yard seasons to start his Raiders career. It’s not his fault that the team traded him.
@@cooperpaddison5657 His production on the Raiders was why the Cowboys traded a first round pick for him
Maybe Todd gurly he just didn’t have longevity in his prime he was the best tho
Over 50 NFL players have caught over 10,000 yards and these R 16 game seasons now,so in 5 years 4rm now we'll see a 50-100 more receivers get 10k yards.
As a bears fan. Kevin White is a name I'll never forget but I wish I could
I remember I really wished they let him wear number 7. I remember he was just a freak of a BEAST. Made number 7 as a WR look sooo good
And the fact they called him the next Julio jones
@@LoganGaming13 I mean injuries did ruin his career. He could’ve been pretty good if he stayed healthy
I remember when he caught that Hail Mary and was stopped at the 1 yard line
All Bears fans wish they could forget him. The first draft pick of the Ryan Pace Era ended up being a HUGE bust.
If Melvin Gordon and Peat are hits then Byron Jones is a hit
I was confused why bryon Jones wasn’t a hit , I thought he was good
@@IJSmith92 Yea, I thought he's been really solid for both the teams hr played for if not pretty damn good
@@GMoney507 Not only that, but he was taken lower in the round
Arik Armstead is a hit, great pass rusher for a DT and eats up double teams like a monster
Seahawks fan, and definitely a hit.
I can't believe he's been on the team for eight years!!
A 7th pick WR having not a single career TD on any team in 8 years is such a Bears pick to make 😂
Dude got injured waking up, got injured walking, got injured sneezing, got injured sleeping, got injured opening a bottle of soda...
The Bears did NOTHING to check on his medical, nor his injury history.
There were 10 other players that made more sense at that Pick for the Bears, and they went ahead and did the most Bears thing... picking the BIGGEST BUST in the entire 2015 Draft.
And it's not close.
DJ Humphries, Arik Armstead and Shaq Thompson are the only 3 players that are still with the team that drafted them; yet are labeled as 'Meh'
Bryon Jones was a legit All Pro and Pro Bowler in 2018... 'Meh'
Then there's Bud Dupree, with 0 All Pros and Pro Bowls while also currently being a free agent... HIT
Dupree signed with the falcons shortly after this vid was posted lol
Probably some Steeler bias here lol
As a Steelers fan giving bud Dupree a hit over some other guys who got “meh” was crazy
“Byron jones spent 7 unremarkable seasons split between Dallas and the dolphins” is one of the most stupid things I’ve heard in awhile. He was pretty damn good in Dallas.
Especially considering Melvin Gordon was somehow a hit
@@zacharyhampton9978 Gordon was definitely a hit
@@leonzaduncan2438 scoring no touchdowns his rookie year then getting outplayed our of his contract by multiple backs, yeah dudes a stud…SIKE
*out not our
Man I remember being 13 watching Gurley, Gordon, Abdullah put up monster numbers in college. It seemed liked every other week they were putting up 175-200 yards, and like 2 or 3 Tds. Jameis and Mariota killing it. This was one of my favorite draft because of all of the players and how amazing they were in college unfortunately it didn't really translate to the NFL. My favorite draft was the 2017 draft. I can't wait til they do that one lol
They’ve done 2017
@@amateurchef9992 Bet. I'ma check it out. Appreciate you bro.
"Agholor is most known for being a meme"
I love how this is now part of the NFL canon.
Nelly had some rough moments, but look at his statline from the super bowl win, especially the gamewinning drive in the 4th, he was key in that win so thats worth the pick already
@@memememe908 I mean, he's not what you expect from a first round pick, but he's not a complete bust either. I just thought what the guy said was hilarious.
@@piranhasforscissors Well according to nfl fan logic the only thing that matters are super bowls so he should be considered better than cooper at thisbpoint
2015 does not get talked about enough as having a brutal first round, especially at WR.
The WR’s or targets as a collective for the entire draft were ok.
Cooper, Diggs, Lockett, Waller.
@@fortynights1513 I’m just talking about first round receivers. Cooper was a hit, Parker and Aghalor are fine, and then the rest are complete busts.
@@ryanwalsh3265 I’d agree that for a first round, that’s an underwhelming group
I think if it wasn't for the abysmal 2013 draft, then it would get talked about more
@@zdr7420 it's crazy the 2013 is considered 'worse' yet 11 players have gone on to earn 1st Team All Pro honors while the 2015 draft has only 9. 7 players from the 2013 draft class have been named 1st Team All Pro 2+ times while the 2015 class only has 2 players with 2 or more. So honestly, the 2015 draft class is worse than the 2013 one
Shaq Thompson is not a meh definitely been consistent the last 4 years over 100 tackles, that’s a hit
The middest draft, Todd Gurley would be a hall of fame if injuries didn't slow him down, he was never the same after that week 12 game against Chicago in 2018
DJ Humphries is a hit. He’s been everything you could reasonably ask for in a mid to late first round pick. A mainstay tackle for a decade is not easy to find.
Him and BA had beef too. He has been healthy recently and is a staple on the cards
For a late first round pick, I feel like Shaq Thompson has to be a hit. Quality starter for 8 years, starter on the 15-1 team, 4 straight years over 100 tackles
Hilarious that they would edit in Mike Mayock praising players that became busts, questioning players that became quality starters, and then the Raiders hired him and he helped drive that organization into the ground
Mariota is for sure a miss, not a meh. Maybe if he was drafted in the 2nd round, but he was #2 overall
I'd say both him and Winston were a big miss. A QB drafted first or second overall needs to stay in town a lot longer than those two did.
His career was doomed getting drafted by a team with a trash offensive line. He spent his first 3 seasons running for his life and playing injured, and he was never the same after that. Such a shame, he was electric to watch at Oregon
@@jeremyc9593Let alone for the team that drafted them.
Sounds like neither made it to a second contract
IMO Arik armstead is a hit, hes been inconsistent but still playing today and a big part of their d line
Really glad I was here to see Todd Gurley in his prime. I always thought the horns on his helmet were appropriate; the way he burst through the line for huge gains was just like a ram
Adrus Peat as a hit is wild
Could Meh make sense?
I thought definitely meh. He just seems like he is always injured. I'm not a saints fan, but I swear every saints game I have watches since he came into the league he has either gotten hurt during, or was out due to injury
@@zdr7420 I looked it up. Since 2019, he's played 11 games in a season even, only once.
"We was out there catchin em, unlike Agholor"
He'll be good on the Ravens
Leonard Williams is definitely a hit
Nah that one was right, he’s still in the league which is good, but the type of player the Jets thought they were getting. They wanted him to be like a Myles Garrett type player
@@jalengreen1301 Garrett and Williams don't even play the same position lmfao. besides that Garrett literally came into the league two years after him
@@laurinnn they’re both DE’s but I guess Leonard slides inside more often than not, but they did have similar hype as the best DE in their draft classes. Myles has been elite, meanwhile Leonard is ok at best
@@jalengreen1301 you don't know what you're talking about and it shows. Leonard and Garrett are nothing alike, and Leonard has been far better than just okay as well
Came here to say the same thing. Stand up!
This draft brings back memories especially because some of prospects in picks 1-10 turned franchises into legitimate playoff teams in the future!
Kevin White being compared to Julio Jones lol I get hindsight is 20/20 but that just seems like a tough comparison to make on a rookie coming in.
I hate to hear all of the injuries that caused players to retire early 😢
This was an interesting draft. I was really hyped on Mariota becoming a top 5 QB. I really thought Byron Jones was gonna be a top 10 corner.
Well Jones was a top 10 corner for a bit so u weren’t necessarily wrong
Melvin Gordon, hit? The guy who has been released from two teams for his chronic fumbling?
yeah I wouldve said meh
even worse with DVP being a miss the pick before. parker is exponentially more relevant rn
I looked up the definition of the word "Meh" just the other day, and all it had was a picture of Melvin Gordon
Until his kness gave out, was one of the most productive players in the league. 2x All-Pro, 79 total TDs, 8,336 total yards in 6 seasons is pretty incredible considering that he was likely never at 100% because of his knee issues
@@SuccimusPrime An under 4 YPC for most of his career is not that productive. There's a reason why he has been splitting carries everywhere he went, and not just because he struggled to stay healthy. He only made the Chargers running game better by virtue of it being terrible. Also he has never been an All-Pro, he was a two time Pro Bowler, one of which he got only because someone else was injured. And it was 69 (nice) touchdowns over 8 seasons.
I'm honestly failing to see how Shaq Thompson is meh. Sure he's not Luke Kuechly, but he's been solid for 8 years now and is rarely ever a liability.
LEONARD WILLIAMS DEFINITELY A HIT
Byron Jones was pretty good for the cowboys. The dolphins gave him 5 years 82 million. He played good 2 years giving up less catches and yards than x.... He just got injured and never recovered from surgery then cut
Winston is not meh. Big miss
What's with the Serif font NFL?
Shaq Thompson definitely a hit. Not a superstar but an anchor of that defense for years
As a Chicago Bears fan, I was looking forward to seeing what all Kevin White could do.
The last I checked, he's still on the NFL's free agent block...
I could be wrong on that part, though.
He played for NOLA last year I believe.
@@TheBuddha337- Really?...
I never had a clue.
Thanks for the insight.
@@tthomaselli2 no problem. I remember seeing him get a catch for the first time in what I think was 3 years.
Arik Armstead, Shaq Thompson and Byron Jones are "meh"? This is terrible
But Melvin Gordon and Todd Gurley are hit lmaoooo
What happened to the font…?
They typed up the whole video on 2003 Word lol
I will always wonder what Marcus Peters may have looked like had some of those pre-draft rumors of him and Seattle came to fruition. Would've been across from Richard Sherman still in his prime.
We love him and he's still good here in Baltimore

Love the pace of the video ... succinct & interesting
10:39 you love his WHATTT???
😂
This has to be one of the most mediocre 1st round draft classes ever
Check out the 2013 nfl draft class. Most of those first round picks were bust.
Amari cooper is so underrated. Just steady and consistent
Mariota isn’t a meh. That boy was a miss.
Jameis Winston was a bigger BUST than Marcus Mariota.
Shaq Thompson, Arik armstead, and Byron Jones are hits
Gurly was on a HOF pace😢
Andrew Luck's health was fading faster after he saw the Colts take Dorsett instead of Shereff.
Sherff went number 5 there no way they were getting him
It’s crazy how short rb’s careers are
please do more of these. whether it’s draft season or not
A lot of these "mehs" are absolute ballers
So this means that your 2015 first round of the draft is gonna be uploaded in a few days, right? Am i reading the tea leaves?
Picking the clip of Malcom Brown sacking AB in his first game was perfect, that’s the first play that comes to mind when I hear his name
He also caused a Safety one time against the Ravens on MNF for the Patriots
Who is AB?
@@randybobandy5538Antonio Brown, while trying to execute some type of gadget play most likely.
Leonard Williams is a hit imo still an elite DT
I love these! Watching the same teams picking in the top 10 every year with the almost the same result meh!
One of the more underwhelming first rounds in recent memory
To put it generously, yes
Far to generous on the meh's if youre picked at 3 and arent getting 8+ sacks a year, its a miss
Is Todd Gurley II still in the NFL?...
The last I checked, he's still on the NFL's free agent block.
guys, you forgot to change the font off of times new roman
2013 gets a lot of criticism for being a weak first round and deservedly so, but I’m not sure how much better I’d call this first round.
Though I would call it a pretty good receiver class.
I'm still rooting for Todd Gurley post NFL. My man was a beast.
Byron Jones was a certified HIT, one of the best DBs for a stretch of 5-6 seasons in the nfl
I loved Gurley just said his knee was going bc he was great
Times New Roman?
Nah, Winston is a HUGE miss, he did more damage to his team than the other team could do.
Bud Dupree is a hit but Leo Williams and Shaq Thompson are meh? What?
Hold on are we really calling Byron Jones a Meh?????
Edit: the same as Marcus Mariota? No shot, Jones was a top 15-20 corner in the league for years
Todd gurley is so sad to see
It’s pretty hilarious that most these guy’s careers lasted 5 years or less, average career is 3.3 years, yet teams like the Colts put so much stock in drafting every year and getting late round steals just for them to be off the team a few years later. When are fans going to learn that they aren’t “rebuilding” they’re literally getting the cheapest employees they’re legally allowed to, constantly have the most cap room in the league every year only to never spend that money to actually make a push to win the Super Bowl. They’re just maximizing profits every year while hypnotizing a growing fan base into showing up to the most games and buying the most merch for an underperforming sh*t show.
They’re not the only team pulling this off either i feel like a lot of other franchises are seeing this real financial success and following suit, raiders, Vikings, jets… fill in the blank. Always those off season teams, this is gonna be our year! Then they’re so pathetic they actually get their fan base to root for them to lose just so they can repeat the cycle all over again! Wild. Truly insane and spellbinding stuff 🤨
This is the equivalent to the 1988 baseball rookies
So basically you have to be "remarkable" to be a "hit"? I don't like this logic. I think a player who has had a solid NFL career should be considered a hit unless he is top 5 (higher expectations). Some of these linemen are still in the league and pro bowlers and have had solid careers drafted late in the first round getting a "meh" is just not fair to them.
I'd consider Leonard Williams a hit. He's one of the better DTs
0:12 you are right, that was a season for the ages.
Kevin White Is One Of the Biggest Draft Bust Of All Time Because when he Drafted This Dude was Never Healthy But I Did Here He made a Lil Noise In New Orleans Or Seattle
Review for the entire 2015 first round draft: Meh🙄
What a terrible first round wow!
Definitely a draft where a number of the best players available were later.
Landon Collins, Danielle Hunter, Stephon Diggs, Frank Clark, and Darren Waller to name five.
@@fortynights1513 Lmao @ u throwing Darren Waller in that list
@@fortynights1513 2013 is a much better draft when looking at later picks
@@Sephiroth766 I would agree. Travis Kelce most notably.
Lol id say Armstead was a hit.. his post season play steps up more than his regular season play, he’s been clutch
Can anyone tell me what exactly happened to Stephone Anthony? I remember his rookie season being real good and kinda miffed that my Packers didn't draft him, but then he just fell off of the face of the earth. Was he simply outplayed? Were their disciplinary issues?
In the words of the video they made in 2020 that is better than this one in my opinion:
“Anthony proved as a rookie that he was worth the pick, but perhaps a mishandling of him has sent his career spiraling downward; far from first round status.”
He got traded a couple times and the side of the field he was told to play was changed a couple Times apparently.
arik armstead being labeled as MEH makes me very sad. He’s absolutely been one of our best in past years but hey man, I don’t make these lists lol
Wow man
Kevin White
Saints Legend
I will say they have got a lot better on judging players throughout this series
Can’t wait for the 2019 draft hit or miss.
Melvin Gordon can’t be a hit. Look at all the fumbles.
Man that joker was stupid. Fumble issues and thought he was the best RB.. cost himself a lot of money
Thank you for making me relive my team taking Nelson Agholor
You could just be thankful for his play in the super bowl, were not winning that game without his play in the 4th quarter
Considering that I had to think for a few seconds before I remembered that we took Breshad Perriman in this draft lets you know just how much he did for us
I read something crazy the other day, that the Ravens are the only team to never draft a WR that made the pro bowl
@@jeremyc9593Ravens drafted Darren Waller, who came into the league listed as a WR and moved to TE after his suspension. But otherwise, this is correct
I’ll never understand how Kevin White turned out to be so bad
i N j U r I e S
The common excuse of players with the lack of interest to help the team setting them back and of course bringing a bad rep to them.
I think of Breshad Perriman and this guy as an example. Unless if you are Todd Gurley they don’t get no slack 👎
I am attempting to watch this video but instead have gotten distracted by the bangin’ beat in the background. I’ve had to rewind 3 times 😅
2008 full draft please 🙏🏾
Why does the editing look like it's done in Google Docs 💀
it's even missing letters (Gurley's info says just "opo" instead of "opoy") or entire words (Randall's info says just "damarious" without his last name
Byron Jones being meh is crazy NFL🤦🏾♂️
People crap on 2013 but this draft is arguably worse. No Hall Of Famers coming out of this draft unless Diggs has great durability
I think part of that perception comes from the fact that Erik Fischer was the first pick vs Jameis Winston here.
Not that Winston is better, but let’s face it, that’s a quarterback vs a left tackle going first overall.
Shaq Thompson meh??
Ikr
Melvin Gordon a hit is crazyyy
please put some respect on byron jones name, as a cowboys fan he was a shut down corner in the sense where he was never targeted because of how he stuck to receivers, very little interceptions but plenty of pass break ups and elite coverage
