Something that I would highly, highly, highly recommend reacting to would be Sure is Fun by Shinedown. And if you like that then check out the rest of the album that the song is from
Avenged Sevenfold - A Little Piece Of Heaven. The video can be disturbing to some people, yet the bigger picture is something to be understood. People have compared that song to bohemian rhapsody in its style and how its done. IMO its one of their best songs, also has vocals from REV in it. Have a great day KH!
I've been listening to this song since it first came out, and having never looked up the lyrics I still didn't know what Corey was saying in a couple lines 😂🤣 definitely impressive.
Ain't nothing wrong with pre-prepping as long as done right. I mean literally for a full song breakdown we would need prosperity in multiple fields like Psych degrees, be besties with the creator of the music as well as being literal world scholars in every aspect of life. But breaking down just what we've heard into logical thought patterns not actually stating this is what is meant is incredibly helpful and eye opening to understanding the basis of our favorite songs. But like I mentioned, they'res others LBoydish that are like Ahhh this must be what they mean or this plus this has got to be..... Ahhh this is referring to Nino, Pinto and Santa Maria which must mean that jacking pilgrims were into lowtiders with chrome galleys and swabz, that's where the Fast and Furious franchise got its humble beginnings! Tada 🤓🤓🤓🤦♂️🤷♂️🤦♂️
I'm a metal head, but I'm also obsessed with lyrics. I wish more people did breakdowns like Knox. I swear to God bro, if you started a metal breakdown channel, you would do VERY well. I'd subscribe to that yesterday.
"The rain will kill us all" has a double meaning, not just the potential of pollution making the rain toxic but also the "reign" of the people in power that lead to the continued corruption. Also the limits of the dead is in reference that those who have past can bo longer effect the future and its up to us to make changes. Great video I love your reactions.

@@СосновыеИголки True. Nobody can catch every lyric or bar on almost every song every time the first time through as often as Knox. There is no way he isn't looking at lyrics either ahead of listening to the song and/or has them pulled up on-screen. He sometimes gives it away in his video titles. "First time watching" = He has heard it before but not watched the video. "First time reacting to" = He has read the lyrics. Stuff like that. Misinterpreting lyrics is part of music. It's impossible that someone can always hear the exact lyric almost every time. Not to mention know so many references on such a wide variety of pop culture and history (epic rap battles).

You just earned a sub from me. Understanding the lyrics of Psychosocial is a significant feat. Most people run through the whole song without understanding what it's about because of Corey's gritty voice, the epic music, the symbolism, wordplay and the obscure definitions of his choice words. Of all reaction UA-camrs, you're the only one I've seen to be able to keep up with Corey.

Impossible to choose a favorite Slipknot track, but this one is right up there! Corey Taylor has no limits. Scream, roar, rap, growl, sing, Spongebob... he does it all.
Nice one picking up on the 'your purple hearts are giving out' line, imo it's the most effective and clever in the whole song but seems to be missed by a lot of people i've seen discussing the lyrics. Great video, you really have the ability to articulate ideas that are hard for me to put into words
i also think that "the rain will kill us all" refers to the mortars and arty. and throwing yourself against the wall related to taking cover from some form
So many amazing Slipknot songs, and their evolution over the years is so interesting. Check out Eyeless from the Self titled album. It's intense! And has a bit of a rap element you may enjoy. Love the videos! Love your breakdowns! Thanks for sharing with us 💙
I love slipknot. Seen them a number of times now and will be seeing them headline download festival in June. It's always run to watch a rap fun discover an appreciation for metal that grows into a love of the genre. Metal music in the general population is massively under appreciated for the complexity, depth and articulation of the lyrics.
You do the absolute best breakdowns of Slipknot’s lyrics I’ve ever seen! You need to do many many more of their songs. I’d recommend People=Sh*t, The Heretic Anthem, The Negative One, Custer, Before I Forget, The Devil in I, Unsainted, and Solway Firth. There’s so many more. I’d love to see you break down all their songs. Keep up the incredible work!!!
Yes!!!!! There is SO MUCH material to cover with slipknot. Dead Memories, Duality, Snuff, Till we Die, People = shit!, surfacing, and more!!!!! BTW, I noticed you only did one A7X song, was it not popular? You have to cover Seize the day, A little piece of heaven, The beast and the Harlot, Bad country and some more!!!
Those giant heads are Death Masks from the promotion of the album, All Hope Is Gone. Glad to see you digging deeper into the glory that is Slipknot. Can’t wait for more Maggot goodness.
Crazy how the color purple reminds me of a bruise, yet the highest honor in our country is a purple heart, literally awarding you for having a bruised heart
I love your take on this and how you can break it down and appreciate the deep and meaningful intent behind the lyrics because 99% of metal is just "assumed" to be a cliche of hate, parental issues, and suicidal thoughts but its so far from the truth. Yes those things exist in metal but its so much smaller than people think. I love that you can appreciate and respect genre's outside of your own with a meaningful perception of it. Earned my sub for sure!
Thank-you for being so sharp-- you heard things so quickly that many Slipknot fans took ages to learn. I think your rap background helps with that, and thanks for not seeing this as "noise". Your processing this is a pleasure to see, and I think Corey and you would get on fine 😊
Just now getting around to checking out your metal playlist. This is by far the best breakdown of Slipknot I have seen, absolutely incredible! Please my man, cover more Slipknot these messages, and your views of them, really need to be put out there. Excellent reaction, keep it up!
@@breeee1998 I like early Jman and loved the Waylon era. 12 Hundred is still one of my favorites. after Waylon and Jeffery left, it’s just not the same for me.
@@breeee1998 real quick, I’m actually loyal to anything Waylon works on because a couple times I’d seen MH, I got to meet him a handful of times. he is ridiculously nice and we had drinks one night after the show, just shooting the breeze about music and life. it was one of those down to earth moments that he took the time out of his day to chat with a local fan and I will support any project he works on. he didn’t have to take that time, but he did. I’ll never forget that.
Corey Taylor is one of the GREATEST Metal vocalists of all time, especially Nu-metal. He's a VERY intelligent man, he knows what's up. He's a great person, he's very respectful and humble. This is a great song and music video.
He may be one of the greatest metal lyricists of all time. However, I don’t know if I would say he is one of the greatest metal vocalists of all time. He is good. Above average for sure. But greatest vocalists? I just don’t see that.
I don’t know about one of the greatest vocalist..Pretty good lyricist. When you put him up to other vocalists like Dickie Allen (Infant Annihilator), Ben Duerr (Shadow of Intent) and Greg Gilbert (Shrine of Malice) he sounds like nothing lol, its all subjective though.
@@jaygopinath1694 yeah, by that you can tell that he's one of the greatest vox of all-time. It's not just metal vocals, it's about versatility and flexibility. All the other vocalist they mentioned above is just a mere metal vocalist, they cannot sing other genres aside from metal. So there's that.
Yo Knox, you should definitely check out People = Shit at some point, it's one of Slipknot's best songs IMO. I'm glad you've been going on a Slipknot journey, they've got some fantastic stuff
I’ve made a few comments before stating this, but you’re one of VERY few, who actually deep dive into the message being spoken into the lyrics, obviously having a rap background, lyrics are what make a rap song, not it’s beat or notes. But you actually react in these videos in a way that will captivate all and that’s something many don’t do. Most only listen to the music and some talk about the lyrics in metal, but no one comes close to the rabbit hole you do when it comes to dissecting every little bit… Hell, I never do that hahaha, but you actually help me see things I never would have even after decades of listening to it. So that’s why I put you at the top of reactionary music and videos, great job as always.
I love reaction and analysis videos. This is the only one I’ve found where someone actually analyzed the lyrics, and it’s exactly what I was looking for. This was amazing. Thank you
You breaking things down, and the way your eyes move while doing so, the words that follow... you remind me a lot of myself!! That's why I watch this shit!!! Thank you!!

YAY! I'm so glad you did this song. This is my fav Slipknot song!! I've seen them live a few times and that's how I fell in love with them. Thanks KH!!
This was definitely one of those songs ( lot of em involved with Slipknot lol ) where I just let the music take over and don't bother looking up the lyrics or hearing close enough. Had no idea how deep this song was going till I watched this , just shows how underrated the Lyricist side of Slipknot is and their members . So much of their deeper messages sometimes go unheard . This was an awesome reaction/breakdown as always. I'm definitely subbed for Metal Mondays for sure 🤟🤟
Dude, you're brilliant with understanding the origin of words and breaking them down. Your education (wherever it came from) is showing, Sir. I never thought I would hear someone say "that guy looks like a unicorn" about Slipknot...
Knox Hill is the BAR BREAKDOWN MASTER !!! Fantastic breakdown. You're the ONLY one that i know that has broke down each lyric here on reacting to Anything SLIPKNOT 🤘🏼. WELL DOWN
Slipknot is probably my FAVORITE band and I have listened to this song hundreds of times. The way you broke down the lyrics is impressive and you pointed out the timeline of this song being related to the Iraq war. I never made that comparison. You gave this song a new meaning to me besides just being a certified banger.
This song always hit with me. Around the same time this song dropped my best friend growing up died in Afghanistan. Died to an ied clearing the way in front of a convoy.
First time I’ve watched one of your videos, I watch slipknot reactions all the time, it’s fun to watch people’s faces and the few that enjoy it. But I have never seen anyone break down Corey’s lyrics like you, what a pleasant surprise. Keep up the good work 🤌
My favorite part about metal fans and creators is that they are mostly incredibly kind people and tend to be intelligent. My dad is a semi well known drummer and was my biggest influence into loving metal, almost every role model I had growing up got me into a very wide variety of music, unfortunately I’m a bit to slow when it comes to learning music but I can at least enjoy music and spend alot of time trying to find new songs i connect with.
I really like how demonic Corey Taylor, Clown, Paul Gray, and Chris Fehn sound near the end of Psychosocial. It's honestly amazing how it sounds, and it's one of the many reasons as to why I love listening to Slipknot. Corey's vocals and their percussion and guitars make it all so much fun to listen to.

you've probably been told this at least a few times but Corey Taylor is also the lead singer of another band worth checking out called "Stone Sour" there's quite a few songs by them you'd love to give a listen and dissect on top of that, it's cool hearing his contrasting styles between the two bands and how he gets to pour himself into each of them
I really love the way that you analice everything in the lyricism and the morph that the song has been made by them, you put a certain context what i didn't realize of that. Thanks for appreciate the music without genre disagrees!!

Impossible to choose a favorite Slipknot track, but this one is right up there! Corey Taylor has no limits. Scream, roar, rap, growl, sing, Spongebob... he does it all.
hahaha his spongebob makes me chuckle every time =P
@@originaldahha I'm sorry... I can't hear you...
I'll stick with Sulfur just for the chorus.
Corey is a poet who makes badass music. If you enjoyed the contrast in vocals you should check out Pieces by Jinjer.
Im not sure he's ready for that, but his reaction would still be priceless
Did you mean 'Pisces'? In particular the live video?
If so, I agree.
Pisces would be amazing to see his reaction to
Those giant heads are Death Masks from the promotion of the album, All Hope Is Gone.
Glad to see you digging deeper into the glory that is Slipknot. Can’t wait for more Maggot goodness.
Dude I’ve been waiting for you to do this song, absolute banger
Gotta do the ‘Devil in I’ one of my favorites🔥🔥
Crazy how the color purple reminds me of a bruise, yet the highest honor in our country is a purple heart, literally awarding you for having a bruised heart
We need a Slipknot sunday!
Yes! Slipknot Sunday and Tool Tuesday!
Ever since you started Metal Mondays, I have been dreaming of the day you covered Psychosocial. Dream come true!
Absolutely the best break down of this song by far!!! #ProfessorKnox
I continue to be amazed at how quickly you dissect a song. Some of the songs I’ve been listening to for years and didn’t know.
Best breakdown of any Slipknot song I've ever heard, I'm from Baltimore, made us proud bro, good job
Amazing reaction, you are truly one of the best to breakdown lyrics 🤘🥰
Thank-you for being so sharp-- you heard things so quickly that many Slipknot fans took ages to learn. I think your rap background helps with that, and thanks for not seeing this as "noise". Your processing this is a pleasure to see, and I think Corey and you would get on fine 😊
Slipknot is perfect for Knox. Their lyrics are always dope
Just now getting around to checking out your metal playlist. This is by far the best breakdown of Slipknot I have seen, absolutely incredible! Please my man, cover more Slipknot these messages, and your views of them, really need to be put out there. Excellent reaction, keep it up!
If you like meaningful lyrics, you should check out Solitaire Unraveling or Out Of My Mind by Mushroomhead
Solitaire Unraveling is a great song!
@@shotaholic1 Mushroomhead have such great songs, unfortunately they're underappreciated
@@shotaholic1 damn that's so cool to hear my man, kinda jealous tbh 😝
Dude…the way you picked the lyrics apart, broke them down, and put them all back together while enjoying the music was masterful. Great job🤝
@@2174863 lmao Stone sour cmft he has an amazing voice that can sing in all styles he 100% one of the top vocalist ever
I SAW THEM PLAY THIS SONG LIVE IN 2022 KNOTFEST….. AND IT WAS ONE HELLLL OF A SHOOWWWW💯🔥💯🔥💯🔥💯🔥💯🔥💯🔥💯
If you haven't heard their song Unsainted I'd love to hear your breakdown of that.
Just discovered your channel.
Unlike most reaction channel, you do explain your feelings and what these words mean to you.
keep that nature !
Yo Knox, you should definitely check out People = Shit at some point, it's one of Slipknot's best songs IMO. I'm glad you've been going on a Slipknot journey, they've got some fantastic stuff
That and Custer 🤌🤌🤌
surfacing will blow your mind😉
I've always been partial to Pulse of the Maggots. But People = Shit its top tier.
@@kpalamer1 That's our fuckin' national anthem right there!
@@kpalamer1 YES!! love that song.
Subbed. I've not heard anyone break down metal lyrics so well... ever. Quite frankly, it's rare anyone takes the time. Mad smart, Knox.
The next one I'd recommend is "The Devil in I"
I've always enjoyed this song, but I never realized just how deep it is. Very well done, Knox.
Please do more metal breakdowns bro. You are ridiculously spot on. There’s so many amazing social commentaries in metal music.
Thank you!!
Dude I listen to that for a decade and finally understood what he was actually saying, how can you understand anything and get the meaning in seconds, that is so insane!!
Please do even more metal
bro you are a literal literary and linguistic genius, and your content is more insightful and valuable than any channel i've ever seen. thank you.
Another rabbit hole for you to get into for Metal Mondays is:
"JINJER - No Hoard Of Value (Official Lyric Video)"
or "Teacher,Teacher".
WELL DOWN
Your interpretation of the lyrics is incredible and has now completely done a 180 on my perspective and interpretation of the song!
YEEEEEES I was waiting for this I’ve never clicked so fast
Slipknot is probably my FAVORITE band and I have listened to this song hundreds of times. The way you broke down the lyrics is impressive and you pointed out the timeline of this song being related to the Iraq war. I never made that comparison. You gave this song a new meaning to me besides just being a certified banger.
Dude, your channel is shapping up to be the best source of lyrical breakdowns on the planet. Keep doing what you do. Much love!
I absolutely love that you just broke this song down bro! I look forward to Mondays for two reasons. It’s Metal Monday and my day off. 🤙🏻
This is what I've been waiting for so long. One of my favourite Slipknot songs
these guys were so creative with how they harnessed all that aggression with those insane rhythms
I’ve been a fan of SlipKnot for a long time and relistening to this song again from your reaction made me think about things I haven’t before.
Slipknot is an incredible heavy band, they kick ass live a definite must see while you can.
This song always hit with me. Around the same time this song dropped my best friend growing up died in Afghanistan. Died to an ied clearing the way in front of a convoy.
Absolutely impressed by your breakdown of the lyrics and meaning of this song. So many miss the point. Great reaction!
First time I’ve watched one of your videos, I watch slipknot reactions all the time, it’s fun to watch people’s faces and the few that enjoy it. But I have never seen anyone break down Corey’s lyrics like you, what a pleasant surprise. Keep up the good work 🤌
Man this combo is my fav thing in the world at the moment... Knox Hill and Slipknot. Friggin love it!!
Saw the title and I knew this was going to be one of your longer breakdowns. Love what you do.
*Xnox understands the meaning of all the lyrics.*
It's enough to make a metalhead cry.
This is by far the most in depth review I have seen. Amazing, dude.
I really like how demonic Corey Taylor, Clown, Paul Gray, and Chris Fehn sound near the end of Psychosocial. It's honestly amazing how it sounds, and it's one of the many reasons as to why I love listening to Slipknot. Corey's vocals and their percussion and guitars make it all so much fun to listen to.
great reaction Mr. Hill! You're one of my top favorite reaction channels for your appreciation of the music and lyrical break downs.
'Saw anit got Shit on Slipknot ' 🤣Knox you're the GOAT, to understand the lyrics and meaning of the song on 1st listen truly is amazing! I appreciate ya bruh ❤️🎵💜♾️🖤💯💯💯♠️
Slipknot - Disasterpiece is a must listen
That sound you hear is the sound movies have used for the movie "PHYSCO" with Athony Perkins from the 60's.
you've probably been told this at least a few times but Corey Taylor is also the lead singer of another band worth checking out called "Stone Sour" there's quite a few songs by them you'd love to give a listen and dissect on top of that, it's cool hearing his contrasting styles between the two bands and how he gets to pour himself into each of them
I really love the way that you analice everything in the lyricism and the morph that the song has been made by them, you put a certain context what i didn't realize of that. Thanks for appreciate the music without genre disagrees!!
The grating sound towards the end is a fire alarm sampled for the song.
There was such an American moment in this, you explain all the metaphors and phrases, but accept what a purple heart is as understood, such acceptance of the military complex as fully understood by all
Knox, I’ve been watching metal reactions since at least 2017 and I’ve never seen anyone who can so effortlessly pick up lyrics and break them down.
I feel that Slipknot's "Psychosocial" and SOAD's "B Y.O.B." are like cousin songs. Almost identical messages but in their own amazing unique way.
This may be the best breakdown of Slipknot’s lyrics I’ve ever seen. Respect Knox. 🤘👏👏👏
