It’s hard to overstate how shocking this content is to me as some one raised by evangelicals (now returning as an adult to the Catholic Church). The “doctrines” of the rapture are integrated into countless evangelical teachings. It’s the lens or paradigm through which you learn to interpret the world around you. To discover it is a manufactured doctrine from the 1800s is jaw-dropping. This takes time to sink in. Great video, so glad you made it!
Sorry but the catholic church has gotten so many doctrines wrong, don't be surprised that they miss this one too.
@@Scadaboy Lol! Minimal research documents the origins of this manufactured concept. NO WHERE does the rapture show up in Christian writings or teachings until the 1800s. Luther, Calvin, Zwingli, nor later protestant theologians like John Wesley ever mention such a thing. But suddenly it is discovered in the mid 19th Century? Sorry, that's really far fetched.
@@jasongrange4376 try this on for size: drive.google.com/file/d/1HTMCVpoYAlwMqwHiyPEMeXXA4qseGli9/view?usp=drive_link
@jasongrange4376
The Rapture is not manufactured and not from the 1800s. That lie has been thoroughly debunked.
Jesus taught about the Rapture of the church, and so did Paul and John. If you knew the Bible, you would know thst.
Problem with Catholicism is idolatry. People who don't know the Bible are in big trouble, as we are now in the last days. The Bible says people will have "itching ears". In other words they want to be told what they want to hear.

Please don’t get sucked into Catholicism. It is a works based system. Please read Romans through Philemon kjv.

The author summed it up succinctly: be ready for Christ's return. Don't put off reforming your life and getting right with the Lord, because you never know when Christ will call you home. _That_ is the Catholic interpretation, and that is the interpretation of the Church Fathers. Bless y'all!
Thanks for clearing that up. Yes, the "Return of Christ" seems to be a Protestant concoction which I was never quite sure what it meant. You gave it a Catholic meaning.
@@butterflybeatles It isn't a concoction. The Catholic dogma is though. The rapture has been taught from the beginning. Even the earliest church fathers wrote about. You know why? Because it is in the bible. Irenaeus was a disciple of Polycarp (who was a disciple of
John the Apostle), was the first to detail prophetic events after the writing of the New Testament, and gave the Church the first system of premillennial interpretation.6
The first citation mentioned in the “Use of Harpazo” which means rapture. In section and comes from chapter 5, section 1,

Why you convert to Catholic,? I was Catholic become Born Again Christian
@@man2841 so please tell us how the Baptist group is one, holy, Catholic and apostolic?
@@wolfthequarrelsome504 Did you read the Bible ? Do you know that during Era of aposteals was a lot of Churches, in Revelation there is 7 Churches how you explain this ? You said is only one ?? Paul said that has to be difference between people, so they gonna divide ships from goats.....Only one is Body of Christ !!! Which Catholic Church is one of Churches....Now... if you are Born Again you are added ( included )to the Body of Christ !
Gonna be honest, when converting to Catholicism I was kind of disappointed to hear there wasnt gonna be a Rapture. I was once an Evangelical and was taught all about Dispensationalism. But you do learn to accept it after studying Catholic theology and finding out what God's plan is for the Body of Christ!
What is your thoughts on ppl going to hell that are not saved ??? Since your previous life was in that background... what's your thoughts on a person going to heaven n hell
@@tbaby5650 Do you mean what I once believed as an Evangelical, or what the Catholic Church teaches about salvation?
@@jpbeauregard3964 yes what did and do you believe now . My answer and my opinion everyone has there own . Is love . There's no greater answer for me . I do sin everyday . I seem to have 1 sin I struggle with since I was in my teens I'm now 30 and still did not shake it . Addiction if your curious . I'm not ashame to tell others . But I grew up catholic my entire family is Italian so we did and still attend mass . I was just curious your thoughts on hell and your opinion
@@tbaby5650 Oh OK gotcha, so to answer your question about Hell, yes both Catholics and Evangelicals both believe it is indeed a place of eternal torment. Reserved for those who reject the Gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ. However the Evangelicals believe you can be saved from Hell by asking Jesus into your heart and you'll never lose your salvation. Unless you backslide and start sinning again, then that means "You were never saved to begin with". But herein lies the problem, if Judas Iscariot betrayed Christ for 30 pieces of silver after being chosen by Christ to be a disciple only for Christ to turn around and say "Oh and by the way Judas you were never saved to begin with" then that would have been the cruelest joke that God the Son wouldve ever played on a human being. My old Evangelical Church did not like when I challenged them or questioned them on their beliefs. The Catholic Church's position on the other hand that you can lose your salvation should you choose to do so with your free will makes more sense. And I know exactly where you're coming from. I struggle with sin myself constantly. But I will never stop trying to be the man God wants me to be. 🙏
I'm so glad this popped up on my feed again! I have Paul Thigpens' book, The Rapture Trap!
Man, you don't know how timely and useful this post is. Last night, I read about the rapture and how catholics view it. I have two Pentecostal friends who are so hooked with this idea, and I want to enlighten them about how it is unbiblical and just downright silly. Thanks for this, man! Also, pray for my two friends that they find the truth. Thanks!
Isn't incredible how information comes at just the right time? Sounds like you are a vehicle to deliver truth to those who need it.
Dr. Brant Pitre from Catholic Productions has videos on You Tube about the rapture. He shows how the verses in the Bible that people think are talking about the rapture are really about the return of Jesus.
Praying for your intention.
Interesting how you realize it’s not true because the Holy Spirit revealed it’s not. But your two friends believe a lie.

... I have been bombarded by the "Rapture Crews" from many different Protestant churches and tell them "I prefer to be left behind" according to the word of the Lord ... and they try and convince me I'm wrong and will be sent to hell for that decision ... I just say "My soul, my choice" ... and wish them a good day and tell them "God love you" ... and make the Sign of the Cross on me ...
Hi Ken. Yes, they can be very cumbersome and often annoying. Best thing to do is pray for them, do what you said, and if you fell comfortable, engage in speaking the truth to them. With the Mother Church behind you, the truth will pierce like a sword. God bless!
I haven't had the misfortune of someone pushing that theory on me. But if it were ever to happen I would have some fun with it and tell them the following:
Yes I'm Catholic and I believe in the rapture. It happened already in 2015. Some pastor gave a date and everything. What? You say he was wrong and the rapture didn't happen? Why? Because you guys didn't get called up? Maybe that presumption that you are saved is what got you left behind. Now we can drop the whole rapture thing and face the tribulation together. 😄

Once again, thank you for a great video.
the first time i heard about the rapture is on the history channel, where they talk about apocalypse, and I am a catholic since born and also went to sunday school and all, but never heard of it once. So yeahh
as i remember in the bible, he did say that there will be people that will appear after him that claim to be prophets or the messiah, i mean not all can be considered to be true thats why we need his guidance to discern the truth, so, i rather say dont believe everything that is on tv or social media or people, we need to be knowledgeable and ask him a lot for guidance

I do know that many Catholic mystics have said that there will be a literal era of peace
Luisa Picarreti is one of them. I think it is said that Jesus will rule during this time through the Eucharist. This would be different than the millennial teaching of some Protestants, where it is said that Jesus will reign in his resurrected body for 1000 years. During the era of peace, all people will believe in His real presence.
Thank you for making this video. I only recently started hearing about all this rapture stuff a few years back. I started seeing Protestant comments on Catholic videos talking about the rapture, once saved always saved, Bible only, etc. I wasn't sure who was telling the truth so I started studying and thanks to videos like yours and others I started seeing the history of all these teachings, the Bible verses they use (well taken out of context or misinterpreted), etc. I also started reading the Bible and had a really hard time finding all these teachings.
You are welcome. Our pleasure.

A God-incident. I have these often. 🥰😍
What do you mean by 'we' believe. Salvation is a personal belief and it is through faith in the precious shed blood of Christ Jesus which He shed for the forgiveness of sins. It is for individuals that the Lord Jesus comes at the 'rapture'. He loves you and died for you, just as He loves me and died for me. If you believe we shall be caught up 'together' as individuals to meet the Lord in the air and be in the Father's house in Heaven. Salvation is 'in Christ' not in the church system, which if you examine it honestly, is a very corrupt, money grabbing system.
Smeaton, thanks for your comment! Chris was referring to Catholics when he said "we." It is a Catholic channel. Church is necessary to distribute the sacraments instituted by Christ and then given to the Apostles to pass down through sacred scripture and tradition. Salvation is a personal belief but also it is a communal belief as well. Christ and the Apostles spoke of and implemented unity in doctrine and practice and if we just believe whatever we want in Christology, ecclesiology, and eschatology, that is not unity, that is chaos. Salvation is indeed given to us by Christ, no one is arguing that. The rapture was not a doctrine of the early church, nor of the protestant reformers. It is a 19th century Millerites-Adventist doctrine that is taken out of context to fuel their own end-of-time predictions that failed over and over. This Adventist movement gave birth to the SDA's, Jehovah witnesses, and Mormons to name a few, and that should tell you enough about the erroneous genesis of the "rapture" doctrine itself. Have a great day!
@@smeatonlighthouse4384 This is a lie, the church has two natures, it is both human and it’s divine. The church was given the keys and authority to administer down the eternal life saving, salvific graces that are absolutely necessary for our eternal salvation. For this reason you can’t have Christ without His Holy! Catholic! Apostolic! Church. To believe in the Greek actually means to obey! Jesus said: if you truly loved Me, then you would obey all that I’ve commanded you, and then My Father and I will come down and live inside of you. Jesus said: Only those who persevere to the end in My Father will shall be saved. No where does it say as long as you except Jesus as your personal Lord and savior you’ll be saved. That is man made Baptist Tradition. To the contrary: Jesus said. There will be many of you who will cry out Lord, Lord! at the end of your lives: and you will tell me how you prophesied in the streets in My name, and how you cast out demons in My name, and how you ate and drank and sat with me, and I will throw My hands up and I will say to you! Go away from me you evil doers! I never knew you. And then there will be others of you who will try to get in by another way, but still you will not be able too. Jesus said: The road is narrow that leads to Heaven and there are few of you who will ever find it. And the road is wide and broad that most of mankind is on that leads to eternal death and destruction. Mt.. 7:13-14. Jesus Christ, Divinely Established the One! True! “Holy” Catholic! Apostolic! Church. We find the four identifying marks of Jesus Christ One! true church, inside both the Apostles Creed and Nicene Creed, when we profess: the creed. We pray! We believe in One! Holy! Catholic! & Apostolic! Church. Those are the four identifiable marks, which I s our profession of faith. We don’t leave Peter because of Judas, sin, evil or corruption. That’s always been there since the last super. There is no other Supernatural church on earth, outside the one true church: because Jesus Christ himself established just One! Church! My. 16:18 He told Peter, I give you the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth. Jesus Christ established seven sacraments to give us grace to transform and restore our lower fallen nature back to its divine state from before the fall of our first parents Adam and Eve. No transformation! No Heaven! No Sanctifying Grace in the soul at death! No Heaven. He prayed to his Father: Father let them be one, as we are one. Jesus said: I do not want to take them out from the world, but to protect them from all evil. God didn’t remove Noah or his family from the earth. The only righteous family on earth remained on earth and the wicked were caught up and removed. The Rapture Theory is a made up, man made fictional theory invented by John Nelson Darby in 1830. It is totally none biblical. It’s all make believe. It was first made popular by “false” end times prophets like Hal Lindsey and Jack Van Impe and John Hagee, just to name a few. It was sensationalized by Nicolas Cage in the fictional Hollywood movie Left Behind. Jesus was very clear with this command! Truly! Truly! I tell you My flesh is true meat indeed and and My Blood is true drink indeed and unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His Blood! You shall have No! Eternal Life! Jn. 6:52. No Catholic Church, No Holy Eucharist! No! Life within you. It’s that simple! The One! True! Holy! Catholic! Apostolic! Church! is the only vehicle of eternal salvation for the entire world or let’s say for all those who are lucky enough to enter into her before their time runs out. It is the only true bride of Jesus Christ. God Bless!

Good Morning I am a former Catholic for 27 years but wasn't really interested in the truth before now I am a member of a one known protestant church because I married my wife I thank them because now I become interested in the word of God but as I study, listening to deferent people looking history listening to debates I always end up in the CATHOLIC faith I really want to come home but I don't want to hurt the feelings of my wife and her family, can I have you advice on what should I do?
Thank you so much for the question. We admire you for your desire for the truth. We hope your wife and family have the same desire. When it all comes down to it, it's between you and Jesus first and foremost. If you feel Christ calling you to the Catholic church, then that's where you should follow. Even if it means picking up your cross and following him.
With that being said, I would pray for your family in this regard, and for yourself. And I would be very loving and kind about it, but also open and honest as to why you've come to this conclusion. They may or may not accept it right now, but just know that many former Protestants who have come to the Catholic Church have eventually brought their families into the Catholic Church as well through their example and even sometimes evangelizing.
We are here for you if you have any questions or thoughts or need help. But I think being honest with your family is what's best. But pray about it. Also, if you need more support, there is an entire organization of former Protestants and former religions who have become Catholic and help other people on their Journey. They are there for you night or day, and they understand a lot of the problems that people like yourself struggle with, and they are there to help you. It is called the Coming Home Network, and you can find them online. I hope this helps.

IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE!
I was raised Catholic and, as a preteen, I read Hal Lindsey’s “ The Late Great Planet Earth” and found the book compelling & profound. I later learned the correct interpretation of scripture concerning the 2nd coming of Christ. Looking back, I realized that in my parochial education, I wasn’t taught the Catholic view of end time events, which made me susceptible to this protestant rapture fantasy. BTW, the “Left Behind” series is a fun entertaining & suspenseful tale of fiction and a solidly good read.
See this is why apostolic authority is so important! Self-interpretation is dangerous because it fosters ignorance and confusion to the laity and the Magisterium (developed by Christ) is responsible to make clear the context of scripture so that we will not be confused and led stray. Protestantism is the greatest human blunder to ever happen.

Our Lady’s promise at Fatima “Do not be afraid, for in the end my Immaculate Heart will triumph and an era of peace will be granted to mankind.” Yet Cardinal Wojtyla soon to be Pope, in 1976 at the Eucharistic Congress in Philadelphia said that this was the final confrontation between the Gospel and the anti-gospel, the church and the anti-church, the Christ and the antichrist. I wonder how these two prophecies can be put together since there seems to be a contradiction.

Left Behind I remmember that series was scary and pretty good.

As always, a good video. I do have a comment though. In John 17:15-21 we read the following,
15 "I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. 18 As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. 19 And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth. 20 "I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, 21 that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me."
In my opinion, would this not be a "silver bullet" for those who believe in the rapture? In verse 15 Our Lord specifically prays that His disciples not be taken out of the world(the very definition of the rapture) but that they be preserved from the evil one. Our Lord extends this to those who believe in Him through their word. Would that not also include us since we believe them based on what they wrote in the N.T.? If that is correct then Our Lord discounts any notion of a rapture. I have not heard Catholic apologists using the passage from John and I'm wondering if I might be missing something. God bless.
UA-cam is distorting the audio feed on this. ... Roy Schoeman says "thousand" in Hebrew means "myriad."
elements of the rapture concept can be traced back to earlier Christian writings and eschatological interpretations. For example, some Church Fathers and medieval theologians discussed the idea of believers being caught up to meet Christ, based on readings of biblical texts like 1 Thessalonians 4:17. But the specific modern doctrinal formulation, particularly the per-tribulation rapture viewpoint, is mainly attributed to Darby’s influence

The phrase, '"a great multitude which no man can could number from every tribe and nation," in Rev. 7:9 as an indication that the number Of 144,000 Israelites previously mentioned is indeed literal. I Kings 19:18 also mentions 7,000 men who didn't bow to Baal. I believe the 144,000 male virgins in Rev. 14 is a post-Christ, mirror image of the 144,000 pre-Christ, Israelite fathers in Rev. 7:4-8. It's sort of like a beautiful spiritual diptych. It's a celebration of both fatherhood and male virginity. These are just two of many holy groups mentioned in Revelation.
There are plenty of debates you can watch on the topic of the rapture and I highly recommend them, a one side debate is not a debate and only allows the watcher one explanation of end time events.
Jesus told us in Luke 21:36 to watch and pray always that you are accounted worthy to escape all these things(read verses 22 -36) that shall come to pass and to stand before the son of man.
I never heard of the rapture untill I was and adult and at work one day.
2 Thessalonians 2:7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is removed.
I fell for all this rapture tradition growing up as a Southern Baptist. I read Hal Lyndsey's works and I watched the Left Behind series of movies. It helps Evangelicals sleep at night thinking that they will be spared the tribulation.

I personally find that Daniel 12:4 and again at verse 9 is a literal fulfillment.
Has any one called John McCarthur to let him know early Christians didn’t believe I the rapture! “That’s how he justifies his hatred towards Catholics”
The same people that claim purgatory is not in the Bible, have created a magical safe zone.
My Baptist church pushes this unbiblical belief. My husband wants to go to this church.
In the last days there will come scoffers, Jesus words are clear! 1 Thessalonians 4:16 - For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.

This is the second coming. Paul thought it would happen in his lifetime. Did your preacher tell you that the dead would be flying through the air before you? It says that the living will be caught up only after ALL of the dead faithful. This is the resurrection of the body - at the end.
During all of the trials in the OT, no one escaped death before their tribulation. The early martyrs did not escapte the tribulation. Jesus came to live the whole human experience. Did He escape the tribulation? He was caught up in the air, but only after suffering death. But surely God made an exception for YOUR generation, who have suffered so much right?

@@MrWholdaway This morning I arrived early at Church to confess my sins to the Priest (John 20: 21-23). In the Mass, God the Father is worshipped through our Eternal High Priest. Holy Scripture is proclaimed; Old Testament, Psalms, Epistles are read and we stand to hear the Gospel proclaimed. The Priest, acting as "another Christ" relives Calvary, making the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ present on the Altar of Sacrifice (Luke 22:19-20; Matthew 26:26-28; Mark 14:22-24; 1 Corinthians 11:23-25). This is Holy Communion (John 6: 51-58). Sins are washed away, Actual Grace bestowed, imparting Sanctification. The Angels and Saints in Heaven pray for us and rejoice at the presence of God amongst men.
This is our Mass, the center of the Holy Catholic Faith.
Do not say that we misinterpret Scripture. By your own standard I would say the same for any of the multitude of Protestant sects. Moreover, the Bible is a Catholic book. The Magisterium alone teaches the "same sense and same meaning" held from the founding of the Church (Matt 16: 18-19).
Make serious study of the Faith. The only conclusion that can be drawn is the Church is Catholic from the beginning. This is Salvation.
I would have thought John 5:28-29 would debunk a pre-trib rapture (if anyone is still confused)
Thank you for this explanation of the rapture! I've heard it discussed on other channels and other forms of media throughout the years but never really understood where it came from. As a Catholic, it wasn't something I was ever taught and the idea of it bothered me in the sense that in the end, God would spare a select group of people from suffering when He has never done that before (to my knowledge). I remember a passage from Revelation where the martyrs in Heaven are begging God to avenge their deaths and while reading that, I was thinking about the rapture and how those martyrs would feel if a bunch of people were spared suffering but they were not. I know that if I were in their place, I might be a little angry at that but I still would not question God since I would be grateful to be in Heaven. Now, I just pray for the strength to "endure till the end". Thanks again for the video!

It's interesting that the first edition of the book that started the rapture craze said that the rapture was scriptual. On the second edition and all other editions, the statement of It's scriptual origin was omitted. Curious.
There are too many scriptures that reflect saving saints from the tribulation.
The days of Noah support the rapture will be eminent and people will be eating and drinking and marrying, etc.
No, the days of Noah do not support a rapture. Hence why we debunked that in the video.

@taun
Need to read church history....cause the Catholic church is the that Church from history. You have been taught otherwise.
God bless
@taun 😂🤣😅😆😅😅🤣 you need to do your research. The Catholic Church is the only Apostolic Church and the only one Christ started.
@taun now that's unhistorical, can't find Martin Luther's Sola scriptura in the early church cause the Bible was complied in the late 300's. So there was no cannon of the new testament.
So the Lutheran Church started at Pentecost? Hardly. Is only the Catholic church that goes back to thousand years. It was the Lutheran Church that broke away from Christ's Church with its false doctrines of the Bible alone and faith alone.
The Holy Ghost used the Catholic Church to compile the Bible. And Catholic Church, The Church of Jesus, infallibly compiled the scriptures under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. And it was the Catholic Church who copied it for over a thousand years, protected it from being destroyed, and gave it to the world.
As a European Protestant, I'm under the the impression that most of your discussion is a predominately American issue.
In Act ch. 1 the angels tell the disciples that Jesus will return in the same manner that they saw him depart. (and in broad daylight)
I haven't read anything about a secret return.
So I expect the "Rapture" to be "Believers picked up to meet Jesus on the clouds, for his second (final) coming."
Hey I have to ask you a question was Eric Ludendorff a devout Catholic
I left a comment under another person below about the 3 days of darkness. Have you done a video on that. Do these verses have anything to do with that. Saint Padre Pio, Blessed Catherine Anne Emmerich and Marie Julie Jahenny have spoken about the 3 days of darkness.

That's a good question. I would try amazon. You could probably find it there.
After watching this video and TRYING to educate myself on different beliefs - I was able to Confirm ONE thing that I have always believed as a Catholic..........that is this......NO ONE KNOWS FOR CERTAIN what the exact meaning of Bible Scripture is. No theologian, no PhD, NO ONE. It is ALL INTERPRETATION. Born and Raised Catholic, I find it extremely arrogant that only Catholics can interpret the Bible Scripture's true meaning and everyone else is wrong. I believe that it is entirely possible that a rapture could happen. That does not mean that Jesus Christ "Comes again". It simply means he takes BELIEVERS off of the earth so that they do not have to face the WRATH that will come when the Antichrist appears on the scene. Why is that so hard to believe? Rather than dismissing that as a possibility, why not accept it as a possibility. What is the harm? WE ARE ALL SINNERS. At the end of the day what matters is DO YOU BELIEVE IN Jesus Christ or Not? If the Baptist believe in a pre-trib rapture - and Catholics do not....SO WHAT? At the end of the day - that should not determine a persons salvation. This IDEA that the rapture is "Secret" seems to be something that only Catholics are calling it. I've never heard anyone else consider it a "secret rapture"......almost as if the Catholic religion is mocking the idea so as to make the concept Less Credible when as I said before.......NO ONE KNOW FOR CERTAIN because EVEN EXPERTS CANNOT AGREE.
Thank you for the comment. You have a couple of things backwards here. Catholics are not the ones who call it a secret rapture. That's the protestants. Catholics don't believe in the rapture. The reason catholics have the authority to interpret The Bible is because Jesus Christ the Son of God started the Catholic Church And gave his authority to her. So it has nothing to do with arrogance, and everything to do with the fact that Christ gave his authority to the church to To lead us into all truth. The Bible even says that the Holy Spirit would guide the church into all truth.
You are correct that it doesn't really matter as far as our salvation whether we are pre or post trib or whatever, But yet The reason for this video is because catholics get attacked by protestants and regard to the rapture, and it's important For catholics and all christians to know what christians have always believed in this matter.
@@CatholicTruthOfficial I appreciate the clarification. I certainly do not profess to be an expert on scripture. I am simply trying to understand how SO MANY people arrive at different views from the SAME scripture. EVEN Among people with good intentions. I believe that is why SO MANY PEOPLE have a problem with religion. As a lifelong Catholic, I believe there is a "possibility" of a rapture. I understand the arguments for and against but to say that it won't happen in my opinion is simply arrogant for one reason: NO ONE CAN BE 100% CERTAIN. Scripture is Difficult to interpret and all you need as proof is to look at the various "interpretations/opinions" by theologians and other "experts" who have spent a lifetime studying and analyzing it over the last 2000 years. If the experts can't agree, how is the average person suppose to know? All I am saying is this: NO ONE CAN BE CERTAIN if there will be a "rapture" or not. It is still OPINION based on INDIVIDUAL INTERPRETATION of scripture. It certainly CANNOT hurt to believe in a Rapture if it gives people another reason to BELIEVE in Jesus Christ and his eventual return. Because at the end of the day - in a world FULL OF DECEIT and DECEPTION, how can anyone be CERTAIN of another's TRUE AGENDA? Like SO MANY other Christians, I trust in Jesus Christ that he will guide me to the truth and so far, I have not been given any reason to believe that a "rapture" will not happen. So in the end, I just do what Everyone should do and PREPARE for all possibilities.
@@CatholicTruthOfficialCatholic don't believe in the rapture because when they die they have nothing but a WATER BAPTISM and a false EUCHARIST that keeps them in their grave. So why would they believe in the rapture???
The rapture is biblical if explained as when we meet Christ in the air on his way to earth, accompanying him to the earth at his second coming. It is similar to how the crowds went outside of Jericho to meet Jesus and enter the city with him, or how the crowds went outside of Jerusalem on Palm Sunday. The rapture is the palm Sunday idea in a vertical direction, instead of in a horizontal direction.
The "problem" today is that many people mistakenly understand the term "rapture" the same way fundamentalist Protestants do and not in the Catholic-Pauline way.

The Book of Revelation is apocalyptic literature full of typology, meaning it has a lot of layers of meanings and understandings. Some of it is historical, some of it is apocalyptic, some of it is futuristic, meaning it's foreshadowing future events. So it depends on the verses.

John 3:15That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

I not saying I believe in the rapture, but what do you guys think about this passage. (I'm Catholic) " “Then there shall be two men in the field; one will be taken, and one will be left. This ends the Church age and starts the 70th week of Daniel or the seven years of tribulation .when Israel will start its restoration and preservation . and the antichrist will go in to the temple and say I am God and demand worship . that is when Matt. 24 : 15 starts and Daniel 9 : 27happens. let God and his word be true and man a liar.

So if the church history did not believe it, just put down my Bible and follow history? The Bible clearly teaches a resurrection of his church. People are just divided on when it will happen?
It's not that church history didn't believe it, it's that hardly any of the Christians who were using the same Bible you are, didn't agree with the modern version of The Rapture. They almost unanimously agree that will happen at the end of time.

Yes he will come back, just as he said he would. When he returns, it will be the end of all things.
Why did the programme host not talk about the passage from the Gospel according to Matthew (Chapter 25, verses 31 to 46). Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives and answered his disciples, "...When the Son of man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate them one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats...Then the King will say to those at his right hand, 'Come, O blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you...for I was hungry and you gave me food,....Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.'...."
I believe this is the final judgment
Noah and Lot were protected by God (The Ark with Noah---and by the Angels with Lot) but neither group was removed in a "secret rapture". Now if we want to look at Enoch and Elijah they both were "removed" yet Elijah was seen later with Moses by the Apostles Peter, James and John on the Mount of Transfiguration (Matthew 17) So in other words, Enoch was "taken up" before the Flood and Noah was protected by the Flood inside the Ark. Enoch and Elijah were examples of Divine Intervention while Noah was an example of "Faith" (believed GOD's word) and "Works" (Noah built the Ark) Noah had to "endure" to the "end" (of the Flood)
Lot and Noah were saved from Gods wrath. So it will be for Christians who are raptured
Only those who endure to the end in My Fathers will shall be saved. Jesus.

@@camp5607 That’s an easy one! Jesus Christ founded and divinely established the One! True! Holy Catholic, Apostolic, Church! Therefore! there is no other church, on this green earth, that is “ True!, Holy, Sacred and Divine” But! the One! True! Holy! Catholic, Apostolic, Church. All other, “so called” churches; are all made made organizations. The Catholic Church is not, it is a living breathing organism that will come into all its glory in eternity. It is the true Bride of Jesus Christ. We can not have Christ without His church. Because His church alone was given the keys, the power and the authority to administer down the eternal life saving graces absolutely necessary for Heaven. She is Immaculate in every way, without any stain or sin. Remember! The church has two natures, it is both human and it’s Divine. One part is filled with sinful mankind and the other part is Holy, Sacred and Divine. It is a hospital for all the sinners in the world or for all those who are lucky enough to enter into Her before their time runs out. All other man made religions and churches are all false religions and possess no supernatural power or grace inside of there empty walls. Now they may have some pretty good entertainment, singing and music. But that won’t save you or get you into Heaven. That will take repentance and total obedience. There is no division in Heaven. Therefore everyone who is lucky enough to make it into Heaven, will be Catholic. Jesus Christ only established His One! Church on earth. He prayed to His Father; to let them all be one Father as we are one! He instituted “seven” Holy Sacraments to give us supernatural, sanctifying grace. The only kind of grace that contains the power by which we can be saved. By the way, for all those that don’t know or understand where transformative grace comes from, supernatural, sanctifying grace only comes from, from the seven holy sacraments instituted by Jesus Christ. Sometimes I think, that people think, grace just falls from the sky. Supernatural, Sanctifying Grace, is the only kind of grace that has the power to transform and restores our “lower” fallen nature, back into its original divine state, which was lost due to the fall of our first parents, Adam and Eve. You do understand without this restoration - transformation we don’t get to go to Heaven. We can’t go to Heaven, because nothing fallen or natural can live inside the supernatural, without first being transformed by Jesus Christ own body and blood. This is why the Holy Eucharist is so important and necessary to all of humanity. It gives eternal life back to our souls. It is Jesus own life dwelling within us that give us divine life. St. Peter said: we have all been sent here to become partakers of the Divine Nature. Jesus said! Obey all that I’ve commanded you and then! My Father and I will come and live inside of you. To be a true follower of Jesus Christ isn’t like going to Burger King, we don’t get to have it our own way. We are all called into total conformity to the holy word of God and to His Holy, Catholic, Apostolic, Church, which is protected by the Holy Spirit, which remains holy and infallible and always will be! Especially when it comes to true authentic faith and morals. God Bless you on your Journey home. I do hope you give up believing in all that Protestant rapture bs and look deeper into The Catholic Faith founded by Jesus Christ! If you ever hear His voice, harden not your heart. 🙏✌️

Been to a number of denominations including Catholic. Ive' read the scriptures concerning the subject and it definitely exists in the Bible. Jesus spoke of the same thing I believe in Mathew chapter 24, of which I don't know if it's reffering to the 2nd coming or the rapture, or if it's one in the same. The Book of Revelation also speaks of it.
"Justin Martyr, who within thirty years after John's death became a Christian, writes expressly that a certain man among the Christians whose name was John, one of the twelve Apostles of Christ, in the Revelation, which had shewed him, prophesied that those who believed in Christ should live a thousand years at Jerusalem. And a few lines before he saith: But I, and as many as are Christians, in all things right in their opinions, believe both that there shall be a resurrection of the flesh, and a thousand years life at Jerusalem built, adorned, and enlarged."

The rapture idea came from the Catholic church through Jesuit theologian Francisco Riberia during the Reformation.
It didn't come from the Catholic church. The Catholic church contends that notion.
It makes sense. If there is a rapture it means the judgment is by passed.
We are saved by the blood, of Jesus only, no works can save you, because Jesus said im the only way to the father, thats why he went to the cross and shed his blood as atonement for our sins
