  • Are Christians going to be taken up and out of the world before the big trouble with the anti-Christ begins? Catholics say no, that is a false view of God's revelation regarding the end times. Our guest, Karlo Broussard takes up a popular Protestant challenge: How can the Catholic Church teach that faithful Christians will experience the final trial when the Bible teaches that Christians will be raptured before such a time?

Thank you brother in Christ. I am an evangelical and I agree with you. You have to interpret scripture with scripture. Even if you compare this passage with the teachings of Christ about the end times you will also realize that this cannot be a kind of secret partial coming. Thanks for pointing out that Jesus did not go back to heaven in Thessalonians. That is an important detail and comparing when the dead will be resurrected with another passage. Blessings in Christ.

    1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
"And *the dead in Christ will rise first*; then we who are alive, who are left, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air"
When will the dead in Christ be raised?
    John 6:40
"For this is the will of my Father, that every one who sees the Son and believes in him should have eternal life; and *I will raise him up at the last day.*”
    The Last Day in Revelation
    Revelation 21:1
"Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and *the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more*."
    What happens in Revelation 20
Revelation 20:11-12 (RSVCE): Then I saw a great white throne and him who sat upon it; from his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. *And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne,* and books were opened. *Also another book was opened, which is the book of life*"
Even by Scripture alone I would have no reason to believe the Rapture theory would be anything but a detail of the Second Coming at the end, much less precede it by 1007 years. If I did believe it, it would be because someone else taught me their tradition which was taught to them, all the way back to Darby.

Proof of A Pre trib Rapture. Pay Attention to the Cloud and Clouds Jesus appears In and With. Acts chapter 1 verses 9 10 11 Cloud. In Red Luke chapter 21 verses 27 and 28 Jesus is coming In A Cloud the Rapture. In Revelation chapter 1 verse 7 Jesus is coming With the Clouds when he comes back to the Mt of Olive the second coming KJV. Amen 🙏

Simply read Jesus's own words in Matthew Chapters 24-25. It can't be misinterpreted. He clearly says what WILL happen.

Carlos, this may be worse than your video when you told us we are in the 2nd millennial kingdom and satan is bound.😅
Just a couple of verses to consider for anyone that thinks this teaching was a good one.
      John 14: 1-3.
And please tell us where John sees the bride, aka the church, in Revelation 19: 8-14 before He returns to the earth in the 2nd Coming. They were attending the marriage supper of the Lamb, not on earth receiving God's wrath with the seal, trumpet, and bowl judgements
This is truly sad. Please pay close attention to James 3:1

Only believe. But unbelievers in the rapture will not caught up because if you don't believe in healing then Christ can't heal you. That is why the Jews who went out of Egypt never went into the promised land because of their unbeliever and God destroyed that generation and said, they will NEVER ENTER into my rest. These people don't want you to be raptured. They rather see you suffer than to see you blessed and escaping God's wrath on the sons of disobedience. Because they know not Christ therefore they will not advocate for him or save God's children.

Who are you referring to? I don't know if you're aware of this but Catholics report more healings, miracles and supernatural events than any Protestant denominations by a great number. Not because catholic is the largest group of Christians. They are known for having the mystics and prophets through history.

As Paul says in Titus 3:9 do not argue over views basically. This is all interpretation. I just know either way I am going with Jesus. We do not know the hour or the details whether it is before or after tribulations it does not matter. Some verse speak for it and some speak against it. I don’t believe in denomination either - that is man made. I just follow Jesus and love Him. We are all on the same team ❤️

    • @Humbleservant0707
      @Humbleservant0707 Місяць тому

No one was arguing. Apologetics is an ancient practice taught by Jesus. The Bible is clear we are to rebuke heresies and protect the truth. The belt of truth is part of the armor of God. The Bible says don't interpret it on your own. He gave is a church with spiritual leaders with charisms to interpret. The interpretations were done centuries ago.
Why is the truth important? Because without the church and consistent truth passed down by tradition, we end up with people interpreting the Bible to prove gay marriage is biblical, baptism isn't necessary, enslaving Africans and lynching them is biblical, teaching hateful doctrines that God made some people for hell, or drinking poison and giving it to your kids is being a Martyr for God, etc....without the body and blood of Jesus you have no life in you. Without the sacraments Jesus instilled and the guidance of the spiritual leaders, we can be deceived into sin that send people to hell. Christians don't have much faith today. They don't take Him seriously. They live a worldly life and simply proclaim they love Jesus. Most don't have a personal relationship with Him like they claim. Most Christians I know don't know what their charism is. Few have supernatural experiences to speak of.

Nice topic but one comment - I think you have overlooked the idea of the Jewish wedding cermeony in that Christ said he would go away to prepare a place for us (in Heaven) so that He will return to take us back to be with Him where he came from (in Heaven) to that place He prepared for His bride (in Heaven) which is what Jewish marriage practices are.
This will be accompanies with shouts and the trumpets of God.
Why would Christ do such a thing when He clearly comes back to the earth at the very end ? Its because Christians are not appointed to Gods wrath and so this is why it happens like this. Many Old Testament passages talk about this and links the wrath of God by fire to The Gathering of the elect immediately beforehand.
This is what I call a lost Early Christian tradition and should be brought back to give some comfort and hope to Christians during the End Times.

"13 But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus. 15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words."

Luke 17:22-37 is the pre-trib rapture. It does not have a resurrection however because of verse 37. We leave our flesh on earth.
1 Thes 4:13-17 is the second coming with the only resurrection for the saints which is on the last day, last trumpet (John 6:39-54, 11:24, Rev 20:4-6, 1 Cor 15:52).
There will little eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building, and few weddings and the end of age. Most are hiding in a cave (Rev 6:15-17) and freaking out (Luke 21:26).
We get a heavenly body in heaven (pre-trib). We get a glorified earthly body at the second coming (post-trib).

@@CatholicDefender-bp7my Thanks for the questions. Do you see any verses in the bible written by the apostles that refer to Jesus talking about the days of Lot and Noah? They only had one question. Where (Luke 17:37)? I don't think they understood what He was talking about. They didn't understand why He was going to cross either until after the fact.

  • @petersonnenberg9526

There is an ORDER to resurrection and you have to put Paul and John together to see the whole picture. Dead in Christ is not the same as all dead nor the rest of the dead.

You need to go back and look at your roots the Catholic Church taught us in the 1950s and 60s there is a rapture father Val at Saint Agnes gave a sermon in 1968 about the rapture the nuns and their full habits taught us about the rapture and enduring a great revival that lasted around 11 years taught us about the rapture during a revival you have the influence of the holy ghost. They taught us in school and even out of school about this even at recess , and they taught us that right before the mark of the beast we will be raptured and you think a lot of this came from the Protestants know they take everything from us they stole a lot from us during our great revival they had three rows of men with their notebooks and during the revival I asked who are these people and they said they are all Protestant pastors taking notes on a revival and then they would ask the priest questions they copied us including the rapture and I am a witness to this. The word rapture is in the Latin Vulgate Bible and the world's greatest Protestant theologian agreed with the Catholic church and taught that it was in the Catholic Bible even showed it on television and he held up a book on the Pope's and he was smiling and he said our Pope he embraced the Catholic faith right before he passed away his name was Jack Van impe I believe they still have his programs on television and he was the world's greatest Protestant theologian. PS the word rapture is in the Latin Vulgate Bible the actual word. When the nuns taught us they used the Bible and tradition and history all together to prove their points......

I've been Catholic my entire life and never heard the rapture being taught in Catholic school or in church. The priest and nuns who taught you that the rapture would occur before the return of Jesus at the end of the world were in error. That is not a Catholic teaching. The explanation in this video makes perfect sense. The Catholic Church teaches that Jesus will return only one more time at the end of the world to judge the living and the dead. It is at that time that those who are saved will go to heaven, or be raptured, if you will. Christians will not escape the tribulation. In Revelations 6:9, the souls of the martyrs under the altar ask the Lord when their blood will be avenged and they are told not until the full company of martyrs is complete. Those are the Christians who will be martyred during the tribulation. If all the elect were taken to heaven before the tribulation and only the lost and unbelievers were left behind, this doesn't make sense.

Ok so I used to be catholic and left the catholic due to all their corruption within the church praying to statues yes praying to Mary and saints is an idol saying the rosary is so in every way just wrong. And also to mention about what happened to the children with the church yes this happened at other churches too but the catholic is the leading church and biggest. But I’m here to say the Catholics will go through the tribulation you’re actually in the bible in the book of revelation. So yes please teach your people how you all will have deal with during this terrible time. I feel so sorry for you all. Ask God almighty to unveil your eyes. I loved being a catholic I loved going to church every Sunday I had no problems being a catholic but then one day Jesus Christ showed me the whole truth oh boy that truly stirred me up I was angry and devastated and then so glad I’m out of her. You are not listening you’re stubborn you think praying to Mary will save or heal you. Jesus Christ is our only intercessor not Mary or the saints no where in the Bible mentions this. Come out of her she’s leading you in the wrong direction!!!!!
