@@foxmcqwerty608 the game was kinda incredibly easy if you spend some time learning the extra action cheese now they change it with the last patch i killed aurora with next to no effort the real problem was the completely busted difficulty curve aganist the drukhari boss but even then you can like have 12 attacks in one turn with nun waifu

But yeah, if you have a working brain and imagination you can make crazy OP things that make the game genuine boring on normal. Or not, if you just want to power fantasy. Have at you. Go nuts.

Yes, and it's arguably a bigger threat to the imperium than chaos. Because the whole reason the imperium really stands, is that they've convinced the population that it's the only way to stand against chaos. But with Iconoclasts you have the belief that you can fight chaos in a different way. It's a lot easier to convince people the brutality of the imperium is the only way to stand against chaos, when you don't have a guy waving an alternative in front of everyone.
@danieldancza6171 its a funny thing in Warhammer. Everything that the Emperor said shouldnt be done when he was 'conciouss' is now being done and its the only thing keeping the Imperium and humanity alive. Seems humanity has to fall very low to raise into divinity
it isn't helping people, but allowing chaos to grow freely. If you play the game long enough, you will find that many iconoclast choices leads to multiple times more death, horror and chaos. Such is the nature of the grimdark universe that is warhammer 40k.

Your criticisms are certainly valid, and other games handle it better (hiding geometry when it gets in the way, easier camera rotation, specific camera angles for cutscenes, etc). Just a fair warning that if you play other games like this, you may have similar complaints.

40:55 the Daemon Tool might be irrelevant for this run, but it's GODLIKE on any party that has Cassia and a pyromancy psyker. She has a funny attack that covers about half of an entire postal code that deals a good amount of warp damage, which sets everyone on fire with the Daemon Tool, and then the psyker gets to use Inflame to great effect
"She's big, bad, and 'yan-dear' for the emperor." Proof Brother Lemon has not been tempted by She Who Thirsts. He remains untainted despite the impurity of the interne--I mean warp. 😂

Just as a note. Soldier with Psyker can be very strong because Run and Gun will work with it. Letting you light more than one enemy on fire, or once you get to a certain level, light one on fire and then use them to light a bunch more on fire. Pyromancy like the Operative also does get passive effects that will reduce targets armor. Though I'm not sure that you can get them before you take on the Chaos Beast in the Tutorial.

I went into this game knowing nothing about WH40k and I was pleasantly surprised when I found that it's basically a 40k themed Mass Effect game but with turn based tactical combat, and it even managed to get me interested in the Warhammer universe.
If I could make two viewing suggestions for you as a new face: -Bricky is, essentially, the 40k Ambassador at this point so his videos on the world are a must. -Isyander & Koda do a really good job at boiling down a LOT of lore into something easily digestible while still keeping the discussion fun.

You know I was kind of hoping a Wrath of the Righteous challenge someday, but that's close enough. Rogue Trader is pretty insane. I would recommend some challenge on WotR, maybe some of the shorter standalone DLC tho, otherwise it'll take you months.
I absolutely adore the gilded Arvus Lighter shuttle you use, it's "the little lander that could" in the wider setting! It's Machine Spirit is described as 'truculent and stubborn', yet it's dearly beloved by Imperial pilots for always somehow managing to get you there against the odds. I picked up four for the Aeronautica Imperialis dogfighting wargame, just love the design and models so much. Might paint one up in this scheme :)

Well this is a crossover I didn't expect but glad to see it. Ever thought of looking at 40K Mechanicus? Its a solid game if you enjoy X-Com style combat. Massively customisable characters and some decent options for challenges (range/melee only, Summons damage only ect). It also has an enforced time limit so full runs of the game are fairly manageable.
I really want more of this from TheBacklogs. Can there be a playlist of challenges for this game, please? The simplest challenges for this are that you beat the game in a certain number of turns or beat the game without anyone getting downed. I'm learning alot about this game.
My second channel is probably more your style then - I tend to stream challenges and casual runs of games in my backlog there. It's "Shortcut Unlocked" if you need direction :)

My biggest pet peeve about Warhammer Space Marine was them missing out on deepening the lore like they do here. Mouseover explains what or who someone is. That’s great.
Even if you don't have 5 friends. You can talk to the Factotum guy on the ship and hire mercenaries. Which basically let's you create new custom characters to add to the party. 6 psykers is not only possible, but possible to setup before you even land on the first location.
Yeah... I tried a solo playthrough of this as well. It was seriously hard, and I couldn't make it. Great video about a great game though, and great that 40k is getting its claws into you!

A run I streamed most of was a fire only run. At first I used psyckers & weapons that required flame weapon proficiency but I eventually decided on using any weapon that has a flame description/visual effect It was a difficult early game but once it got going it was fun
Not that im complaining, because any content from lemon is welcomed, but there has been *so much* Warhammer content coming out lately, i feel. Amazon's shows, space marine 2, vermintide, total war, this game, etc
