The war Thunder April fools team is probably 90% of the total War Thunder team
With how much stuff there is, how surprisingly polished it is, and how unique it is i genuinely believe you.
A lot of April fools features are early introductions of features to be added, so it isn't much of a wonder.

@@apttewly there's actually quite a lot of new features such as internal weapon bays for aircraft and super manuverable aircraft. I'm not sure but I do think gaijin is testing new weapon systems and armour packages for already existing tanks like the m1a2 Abrams
@@operation1523 this is what I think: the tanks look awfully similar to the puma ifv and the puma ifv has been rumored to be added for a while now so we might see a puma ifv or a marder ifv in the future

I once already got the point of being tired of the endless grind, then i've stopped playing for like 5 year or smth till recently i kinda miss the game and finally log in several times just for the fun lmao. It's all fun April fools stuff until you realize that 2077 is mainly a dev test for puma spike missiles, iris-t aa missiles and the kepd 350 cruise missile.

There should be a donation feature specifically so the playerbase can subsidize the design team's cocaine budget.
If we could see them in the hangar that'd be great, or someone at least mods them in as custom vehicles, the ground vehicles are fucking massive

The foxes and bears are a reference to a kids show I used to watch, but I don't remember the name anymore. It had a lot to do with planes tho.

Talespin the associated shows in it's universe were really big in Russia. They still showed up in cosplay stuff up until the pandemic.

We need a game mode where everyone gets Sky Pirates for lower-tier aircraft, ponies for the higher-tier/jet equivalents, and war walkers for ground vehicles.
Call it Saturday Morning Battle Mode.
the tailspin event is more reminiscent of studio ghibli airplane designs such as in laputa, porco russo, and the wind rises.

Talespin was the name of an actual show on the Disney Channel that involved sky pirates. The main protagonist was a bear and an antagonist was a fox. Kinda surprised that there isn't a comment high up that mentions this.
I want a tittle called protector of the D point. I had hoped that was a thing in warfare 2077

Forgot to say that tanks have a shield system, that if you shoot a missile from the front / side it will explode mid air, so you have to shoot the missile either from above or from the back.
The game modes would be great if the hamsters didn’t commit self delete one month ago

The airplane combat was a reference to the Disney "Talespin" show. That's the reason the portaits were of a fox and bear; the main protagonist was a bear, and the villains were a fox and a tiger.
Not a lot of you tubers for war thunder, so this guys is definitely getting my sub.
I wish these events were something we could enjoy during times when we're not all grinding for the crafting event. I'd love to see a monthly rotation of april fools events or something of the like :)
Tailspin is definitely a reference to the 1990 Cartoon "TaleSpin", wich featured Jungle Book Characters as pilots.
But the SkyPirates also made a appereance in The 2017 DuckTales remake, Season 1 Episode 18 "Sky Pirates...In the Sky!"

If there was a mode or smaller standalone game that had just the April fools jokes I would unironically play it especially since I missed a lot mostly cause a decent chunk of them came out before I even started playing the game
I really enjoy the Event, but not getting to keep the Icons you work so hard for is kinda a big Bummer

I think the plane event might be a nod to Crimson Skies: High Road to revenge, which featured WW2 type semi-cartoony fighter planes, in which you played as sky Pirates. Many of the "boss battles" in the game were airships like the one seen here.
Feel like the missile camera control is a testing for new stuff being added.

Something done right this time is the april fools event let you grind the parts for the construction, because all the vehicles were tier 3+
I honestly wish we could play the aprils fool's modes year-round, even if they have to stay in the custom games...
