2 years late, but I get it. Reminds me of Yuriofwind, who talks about gaming mysteries and creepypastas on his UA-cam channel in an almost documentary fashion, but he also got to voice Rory in the game YIIK. He carries the same tone and energy from his videos into his acting role.
Hyoma and Rin's voice actors are the only ones who sound like they're actively giving a shit and at least trying to inflect and put in some good work. Compared to the rest of the cast, especially Tonaty, these two basically have the best performances in the entire game

I know children can do a good job acting... its just so rare its not worth the time and resources scoping them out ( kids have things like... bedtimes, and school ) The entire video is an example of bad acting and also shows a good example of a small fact: for the longest time (and even now) adult women are used to voice adolescent males because the talent pool is so small its not worth the effort.
Honestly even if the CEO wants his family to voice acting he should at least train them first before hiring them. Nepotism sure cause negative consequences

Don't have a kid voice a kid without giving them some damn training, at least. Kid VAs are fine as long as you aren't just tossing them into a booth and going "voice these lines" like what clearly happened here.
Didn't it come with the Japanese voices as well? The game is marketed to such hardcore Shadow Hearts nerds that they probably expected none of them to give a shit about the English voices anyway.
@Hethrin I wish I could say the same but I'd rather take a 30 year old woman doing a boys voice who at least has some experience than a child who was given some words and was told to just say them as best as he could. I have seen some great exceptions to this rule but in this instance and others its better to go with experience than acuracy.
