Thank you sooooo much for posting this simple instructive video. I have a 2015 Honda Accord and all of the warning lights came on last night and my car failed to start (I was about 30 mile from my home). Fortunately, after a handful of attempts, the engine started but the warning lights stayed on. This morning soon after following your instructions on displacing the VSA fusible links from the box housing, I noticed that all the fuses were intact but there was debris along the blades. I cleaned off the blades with CRC electrical contact cleaner and placed the VSA fusible links back in its designated slot. All the warning lights ceased to be visible. THANK YOU!!!

Thank you!! I have a 2019 Honda Pilot and the dealership charged me $80 to tell me the issue was a $1200 camera replacement. My fuse wasn’t blown but just taking it out and reinstalling it fixed my problem!
Thanks Man, my wife’s 2015 RDX this morning did this even thou there was no issues yesterday when she used the car. I pulled out the links that you suggested but saw no bad fuses but I turned on the car and no warning lights all gone. Thanks I was nervous because her car was even sputtering and that stopped to.
I have a 2016 Honda pilot AWD Touring. Same problem. All the lights came on at one time and didn’t go off on restart. I removed all of the fuse bars in fuse boxes A and B. None of the fuses were blown. However, after spraying electronic contact cleaner on all of the exposed contacts, I reinstalled and all of the lights went away. I hope this is some kind of a fix. Thank you for your video. Excellent information and probably saved me a bundle of money. By the way, I found that fuse box A was very dirty inside. It appeared that the rubber seal was not installed properly from the factory.
2014 MDX here. Same issue and the George method did not fix because no inline fuses blown. So, it's been 9 months with yours, did the problem resolve?

Same here! We fix a lot of acuras and have these issues sometimes.
George Melnik is a King!!!!! He really knows his stuff, he gives great advice, I fixed my Nissan Maxima with timing change issue and I also just fixed my new Acura TL VSA / Brake system same issue like this Acura MDX. This guy is awesome!!!!

Thank you very much for the instructions. You saved me a trip to a dealer and a hefty bill. I removed the fuses and none of them was blown.... so they went back. I started the engine and all lights were gone! It looks like like it reset itself. Any way many thanks again.

I have 2012 Acura MDX, 130K mileage, last week three lights appeared and four messages like Check Trailer Stability Assist, check VSA, ABS and SH-AWD. I already faced issues in winter when fob key was not opening the door lock, fob has new battery so I knew there is something inside the car and now in normal temperature sometimes lock was working and sometimes not. I called CAA and person checked the battery and said battery and alternator is good but your battery is 6 years old, normal battery life is 3-5 years so it is your choice to change it now or later. I decied to change it now but after that lights and messages were still present, even I checked after 10 hours in the night and still lights and messages were present. Next day in morning, after 24 hours, when I started then all three lights and four messages gone. I was really happy and now everything is working fine. Even I checked the Acura self diagnosis and it didn't show any error, all were green. It was just a weak battery problem but the messages were scary :).

So I changed my wheel bearing rear driver and this started but check this out I did the passenger side last week nothing same exact way no idea but I’m going to try this after work thanks man
Glad it worked for all of you but not for me. No fuse's blown. The scan tool at AutoZone says 3rd transmission pressure switch high. It's replaced but still have all the lights on with hard shifting.
Check to see if your throwing a code p2647?

All MDX owners have had to have this problem, and Acura knows it! I got the same diagnosis from AutoZone. My link is intact.😢

Me too, I've checked the fuses are intact, those lights goes off when I start driving but comes on when I'm idling or when I turn on the AC

what caused the fuse to blow though? that's the most important thing to figure out other wise you'll just keep replacing the fuse links which can't be cheap
Question is what caused the fuse to blow?? From the accident?? Normally a fuse doesn't blow unless something shorted like a cut/grounded wire/harness. My experience is 47 years with M-B and BMW.

Where did you buy the car fuse link at ?
My 2010 RL ACC, AIR BAG and ABS keeps coming on, clears itself after you turn the engine off for a minute or two. System works fine, then lights up like a Christmas tree again and again. Any ideas
I'm having the same issues....if both my fuse links appear to be good. What else could I check?
Thanks. I replaced both of my struts, then broke a wire harness that connects to my speed sensor, then I got a bunch of trouble lights. Even when I fixed the harness. I will try this.

This seems to be typical of honda and acura. All warning lights flash: VSA, ABS, Check Engine, SRS, EPB, etc. Can a weak battery cause this? A bad battery cell? Disrupting all electronic systems, modules and circuits? If the main relay is not blown, can you perform a "hard start"?

I had same thing happen to me, before doing this I would recommending pulling the codes first. In my instance I had a P0301 code which was a cylinder 1 misfire.

I have 2002 Acura RL. My vsa light stayed on and I can not reset them. I asked a local technician, he says I have a bad converter for brake system. How do I fix this problem?
My 2015 RDX dashboard lit up like the 4th of July, the fuse wasn't blown but there was some kinda grime on the lead, cleaned it up and everything turned off

May 2021, had this happen with my 2014 MDX, but when I took out the fusible link nothing was blown so I put it back in, started the car, and VIOLA! all the lights were out.
The abs and vsa lights actually turned off. All i did was take out the fuse and cleaned it a bit, put it back in and the lights turned off. I might replace the fuse eventually since it does seem like it was repaired or replaced before. Granted, this could be a temporary fix for me but worth it. I also checked the codes using a scanner but no codes popped up. Thanks

I have a 2012 acura mdx and the sh- awd light and traction contro light is on. the only code i keep pulling is b1835. i cant find much about this code except that the telescoping steering has a short to ground or something. have you come across this problem? if so any info would be awesome.
I check the fuse it's ok, anything else for help.

I have 2013 acura TL, SH-AWD, and it was in accident before I owned it. it has 3 signs coming on the screen, 1- check SH-AWD, 2- Check VSA, 3- Check Hill Start Assist System. Spent $400 by showing it to different mechanics, no one has fixed the signs. Any clue?

Honda Accord 2009 ex I had this problem due to an accident and when i got my car fix this lights stay on (avs and abs) for months I change the fuse witch is not sell anywhere but ebay i had to buy the whole fuse box to get this fuse but it was worth. my lights (avs and abs) didn't vanish right away you need to drive the car a few yards for the avs and abs to go away this is due to the avs system every time your make a turn the avs will assist you and if the fuse is good the light will go away

Hello Goerge. I also got a Honda Accord that has the same lights on, so I check fusible links and I tried to solder the fusible links. The lights are still on any recommendations would help.
Need help similar problems checked the fusebox and all are good same thing with the start button flashes
FYI, I wished my was as easy as this but for viewers, for my 2014 Honda accord there is an additional clip that needs to be depressed to release the link.

Had this issue. Fuses were fine. Ended up being the battery even though the battery tested good.
I wonder if this is my issue. I replaced my battery already like 3-4 months ago with a Walmart battery. I wonder is it’s the culprit. I’m having the same exact issues as the video down to a T.
@Robert Essary, your battery tested good but you still had the lights on the dashboard? And after replacing the battery the lights went away?

I have an 2009 MDX my abs baa and shared light came on.when I checked the knock sensor wire was bitten by an animal trying to stay warm. I replaced it with an anti animal coating. plug it in and the light went away. After a few months the lights came back on. I checked the fuse bars but they are ok. Can't figure it out up to now. Hopefully it's not the cable again.
My 2009 MDX says check SH-AWD....SYSYTEM car Drive's fine light is on..any ideas😶 could my fuse be out.in the message center it said using to much power.

@@vinnyterlizzi9865 it was the alternator and down the line had to replace that expensive ass catalytic converter acura wanted 1200 found a after market for 700 ..but the front end was bad so it cost me 1800 to fix that and that's wut fixed that SH-awd front end would rattle when on messed up road's

Hi George, having the same issue with my 2014 RLX Hybrid after disconnecting the abs sensor after replacing my axle seal this past Saturday, so my question is does the RLX have a similar fusible link in one of the many fuse boxes...thanks in advance!!! My push button is doing the same thing as well and I have to hold it to power the car off.

A blown 20 amp fuse is a lot of current. What blow the fuse and will it do it again?

How do I rest the SH-AWD light on a 2008 Acura mdx it came on while I was on the highway and I was trying to pass a truck so I accelerated really fast next thing you know the SH-AWD came on I pulled over and turned off the car but it was still on. I also noticed that when I looked at the awd screen that I was not getting any torque to my back tires only the front? What do you think is wrong?

Good day. I have a Acura RLX 2015 it is doing the same thing but also is this a cause to back tires being worn because the vsa light on.

Re install did the work, brake still doesn’t work, as I was too stupid to pull the brake piston off and managed to put it back it, with too much air in the brake system. Brake feels all the way to the bottom with little brake. Gonna bleed the brake tonight

That fuse is impossible to take out. I tried wiggling and using the flat screw driver to no avail. Any suggestion?

Hi everyone, crv 2013 2.2 idtec I got abs awd check engine lights on dashboard my friend scanned the system by obd and got errors 83-11, 61-12 and P0087, The car works fine, no problems with starting the power is ok just the lights come on once a week during normal driving, when I delete them from the dashboard everything is fine, but they keep coming back some times after a week sometimes after a 1-2 days. Any ideas what's wrong.
