Worked for me, although the timing on the VSA button push needs to be quick (don't hold it). Took me four tries-- here's the procedure I used thanks to your video:
    STEP 1
    Pin 4 and 9
    Hold brake pedal down
    Turn ignition on
    ABS light comes on
    ABS light turns off
    Remove foot off brake pedal
    ABS light turns on
    Hold brake pedal down
    ABS light turns off
    Remove foot off brake pedal
    ABS light should blink twice
    STEP 2
    Ground pin 9
    Switch ignition on
    ABS light goes off
    Press VSA off button quickly
    ABS light comes back on
    Press VSA off button quickly
All warning lights should be off

Hi Gerard, Thank you for this, my message appeared after a Diag Tool check too. I wrote this out and have added it to your comments in case anyone want to copy paste your instructions and go out to the car with it.
Part 1 Resetting the ABS Icon
Connect pin 9 to pin 4
    1. Hold Break down
    Turn Ignition ON
    ABS light will illuminate
Wait for ABS light to extinguish
    2. Release brake
    ABS light will illuminate
    Press Brake Again
    Light will extinguish again
    3. Release Brake pedal once again
This time ABS light will blink twice and extinguish for good - confirming the reset
    Part 2 Resetting the VSA
Connect pin 9 to an Earth
    1. Turn Ignition ON
    2. Wait for the ABS light extinguish
    3. Select VSA switch to OFF
    4. Wait for the ABS light to illuminate
    5. Select VSA switch back to ON
The ABS light should now be set and all the warnings should be cleared.
Check by turning Ignition OFF and back ON, all Warnings should extinguish

Wow....works like magic on Acura MDX 2006. Big thanks Gerard. You are God sent.
These icons ⚠️, VSA and ABS appeared after my MDX was scanned two years ago. Every effort to clear them by car mechanic was abortive and the sight of them anytime I enter into my car was like a pin in the ass that needed to go away. Eventually, I stumbled on this Gerard's video this midnight 00:21AM and having read all the good comments here, I could not wait till morning but rose to try this trick which worked out for me. I have an appointment tomorrow with my mechanic on this issue. Too bad, appointment is cancelled. Just on time, Gerard happened to me. Big thanks Gerard

Thanks for sharing this DYI tip on how to reset the ABS & VSA warning lights. I tried this reset process and all our brake-related lights turned off, saving me a bunch of $$$!! We had a leaking windshield that caused the VSA light, ABS and BRAKE lights to stay on after a really bad rain storm (1/2" water on the driver side floor mat). After having the windshield replaced, we took the 08' Accord to the dealership to have it diagnosed; they said the VSA modulator needed to be replaced, for $2045!! My net search on this issue found this video and 2 minutes later, all lights were reset... thanks for posting, Gerard !!!

My 2006 Honda Pilot EX Model in step#2 short pin 9 to ground won't work, then read below comment some pal said YOU STILL NEED TO SHORT PIN 4 & PIN 9 TOGETHER (Note: Pin 9 not short to ground) and it work after 2nd try. In the 2nd attempt you must hold the VSA BUTTON until you see the VSA & THE TRIANGULAR on the dash flashing then go off, you are done. Make sure you REMOVE THE PIN before starting the engine.

I have read forum after forum, and they were all BS. They all left out the jumping the pins. Just push the break pedal and just push the button. None of that works, and i was skeptical of that too. I have done enough work to know there should be a little something else.
One of your commenters said that pin 4 is ground. They were right and you dont have to take the jumper out. Just leave it where it is and do the other step without the break.

    Hi
I tried it on my Honda vtec 2007 but it didn’t work. Perhaps the problem is slightly different as the ABS/VSA light doesn’t come on at ignition. It normally comes after 2 mins of drive. I tried the first method of joining pins 4 & 9 and it gave me message on the dash saying “DTC service - PA10 B1008” and nothing else. The ABS and VSA comes on as previously after 2 mins of drive.
I havent tried the 2nd method for VSA reset as I don’t have something to use for grounding. Please suggest what can be used for grounding if I don’t have the clipper.
    Pls advise 🙂

This works but only if you get the correct pins. These are horribly marked and you can easily get pin 16 instead of pin 9. If so you will blow the ACG S fuse (15a) which will give you the flashing green immobilizer key lamp on the dash, and the car will then not start. To test that you have the correct pin, test the pin with a volt meeter first. Pin 16 will have 12-14 volts on it at all times. Pin 9 will not and no reading. Pin 4 and 5 mix up works out for they are both grounds.

06 acura tl here. Noticed brake lights would not go off. Brake stopper broke into pieces. Replaced that and the brake light switch. Solved the brake light problem. But then VSA and the /!\ lights came on. Vsa button inoperable. Felt like while trying to drive I had the brake pedal and accelerator pedal pressed at the same time. Scanned codes and 68 and 84 came up. Readjusted the brake light switch. I had it in too far. Scanned again and got the 2 same codes. But the car drives fine. VSA light disappeared but the /!\ light remained. Followed the steps provided by this video and all lights on the dashboard are off. Car drives fine. Afraid to plug up the scanner and run the codes again. Don't want to trigger the dash lights. Thank you! Hope this didn't deactivate the ABS and VSA systems but don't want to press the VSA button again either. Again thank you for this video I was ready to throw a lit match to this car.

Thank you for sharing, this procedure worked for my Honda Pilot 2007. I had the VSA light turned on when a mechanic did a full scan trying to find a code for a transmission issue, I have a cheap USB scanner and i was getting code 84, you have to do the two step for this to work, clear ABS then VSA, however, you can perform this procedure by letting the jumper clip on the OBDII connector between pin 9 and 4, pin 4 is ground, therefore, the second step when you remove the clip and bring another ground was not really necessary, you can perform both systems reset without removing the jumper clip, i just did it and the VSA light is gone. Another happy customer, thank you sir.

Gerard, thank you very much, this kind of maintenance it's was gonna took me a bunch of money since here in Brazil 8th gen Accord's are rare and qualified maintainers are even rarer, even honda dealers would probably suffer to solve this (Sadly, but truly mean it). One detail... At least on mine 8th gen, when pinned 4 and 9, and turned the ignition key on, it showed a code UXXXX on blackout screen, but it was fast so I couldn't record or remember it, and for my luck I didn't need to follow all the procedures described for the brake pedal and VSA button it resetted immediately. Anyway I'm just really glad you solved my problem that easy, no more christmas tree out season, LOL. Again, thanks man... BR greetings

This is brilliant. Couldn't find this info anywhere else. The car went to a garage for an unrelated fault, they had a snap-on diag tool and it triggered the Exclamation mark, the VSA light would come on when reaching 30mph. I went through this process and it's cured! The garage couldn't work it out. I used the door bolt for GND. Thanks.

I have the same issue, I had a check engine light on for the knock sensor which I ended up replacing with the oem one cause aftermarket still showed the check engine. I went to reset the check engine after replacing it and had my exclamation mark on ever since. They used a snap-on diagnostic tool as well. You think this video will help?

I got those 2 warning lights after an OBD scan. The scan found only one old "low battery" error and nothing more. After the scan tool was disconnected from the OBD the triangle with an exclamation point appeared. After 30-40 sec the VSA error appeared too. Will try to reset them with this steps.

Good video. Just did a timinbelt and water pump and the vsa and check engine light came on. 1 code 0344 and it says it is a camshaft sensor. But I didn't touch any of the sensors. Sh-awd also came on. I reset the vsa light with this method. But it comes back up. I have my scanner tool, and it clears everything and the car struggles to start. Once started the lights come on and it runs fine. Have a camshaft sensor on the way just In case

Just about to try this and thought I'd have one more go with the snap on scan tool, and I cleared it, by going into abs and special procedures, follow a step by step, ignition on abs light comes on and goes out- immediately press VSA button ABS comes on again- immediately press VSA button, ABS flashes and its reset, no VSA light, viola.

Jennifer - I thought the EXACT same thing as you, that I would short something out - but it turns out this worked perfectly.
I would only suggest you use a small (as in "thin") paper clip, and a clip-lead if you can scrounge one up. It'll make it easier to connect the ground while you're sitting in the driver's seat. The hard thing for me was finding some metal part under the dash to find a ground. Some people use the hinge on the door jam. If you can't find any wire, cut the ends off an old extension cord and use one side of that. You can split the two wires by splitting it down the middle with a pair of scissors, and "zip" them apart into two separate wires. Good Luck.

It will do nothing abs code will reset themselves when the fault is repaired and you drive at like 5 miles hours
You can erase the code but it will come back on in a couple mile of running the car
This video is useless and false
90% chance you got a bad wheel speed sensor
And the moment the computer detect than one wheel stays at 0 mile per hour the light will come back on

After using a snap-on diagnostic tool and getting these warning lights after a full system scan. I proceeded to go into the individual calibration settings, and went into the ABS calibration. Do a full reset (it came up twice as procedure not recognised) after the second I called it a day. On reversing the vehicle out of the bay and back in to the yard all fault lights turned off!! Please make sure that all four wheels have turned several times forward and backward on level ground before going any further than what the diagnostic tool has already done, full scan!! If this fails try going in the calibration menu and to ABS recalibration sensors. If after driving forward and backward they're still on and one of the symptoms is brake pressure switch and/or sensor logic then it's a faulty wire in the ABS module. This can be repaired for around £150.
Before doing any pin to pin shorting try all of the above. If all of the above fails then you have nothing to lose. Just remember after having the abs module brake switch/sensor logic the ⚠️ light will stay on permanently you need to do the diagnostic calibration scan (all the ABS and VSA lights will be on again, don't lose faith) just drive back and forth a good few meters and the system will recognise this and reset.
This hack should be tried after all else fails.

Here is what I had to do to my 2008 Honda Pilot to get the Triangle. I did this. Jumped 9 and 4 connection. Turned on the key. When the ABS disappeared, I hit the VSA button. The ABS would reappear then I hit the VSA button again, The triangle would flash 3x and disappeared. The triangle initially appeared when a took it to a shop and they reset the codes for a P2185 coolant sensor 2 error. The triangle and VSA started to pop on after that reset was done so I knew there wasn't an issue in the system.
