Wow! I never thought about how many responsibilities flight attendants have. People should have more respect for them, they are basically the Police, EMS, and Firefighters in the air. I wish the airlines would promote videos like this for customer awareness.
flight attendants probably have mental issues to willingly get on planes that much. something's bound to go wrong eventually, as it had many times before.
It does make me kind of sad that flight attendants were once considered a very valued and glamourous job and people now treat them worse than waitstaff :/ Especially since the responsibilities haven't changed much. Flying as a whole is a lot less luxurious now than it used to be but if anything, the training has become harder and flight attendants aren't the ones to blame for the seat sizes constantly being cut. I always do my best to be nice to the airplane staff, it often gets you so far bc they're so unused to it
Totally agree! Flight attendants are like superheroes in the sky, juggling so many roles at once. It would be great if airlines highlighted more of what they do beyond just serving snacks. Have you ever had an experience with a flight attendant that really stood out?
This is the type of information that needs to be shown to bored high school students. Encourage them to learn as much as possible....shown them how simple....and eventually more complicated principles are applied in real life.

Thank you, Insider, for all of your absolutely fascinating videos and investigations into the most interesting (and/or obscure) topics. The teams on these series need a hefty raise.
This is really eye opening for how much logistics, work and effort goes into making the airline industry work. It's something one as a passenger never sees and it's frankly quite baffeling the efforts needed to make the huge machinery that is the airline industry go around. Experience, ontime (hopefully) and safe. Interesting😃
I’m glad to see the part where they clean the aircraft. People have very different ideas of cleanliness and personal hygiene. I can’t tell you how many guys I see use the public restroom and walk right out without washing their hands. That should tell you a lot.
Dude being an Air Traffic Controller would be so freaking cool. You have to have such a logical a precise mindset in order to do it efficiently. Huge thank you to everyone in the airline industry! I've gotten my best naps in on flights!
With 3 years of work experience (in anything, serisouly), a US citizenship, the ability to pass a class 3 physical and are under the age of 30, you too can be an air traffic controller. The FAA holds open bids to the public every year, if you get picked up they'll send you to training to learn the job.
Unfortunately in aviation all the professions are to be known as unsung heroes cus the bitter truth is that pilots alone fall under exception over this to the passengers 🙃
50:47 thank you! As someone whose family income is dependent on agriculture, it was nice to hear about the protection of bio security. Along with an example of *why* the agriculture specialists are important.
I have been watching you for years and didn't even notice I was not subscribed. This episode touched me so much I hit the subscrib button. Hoping to see you get past 1million sub.
As a regular person and naive passenger, I used to know pilots only as someone who drives a huge cool aircraft. 🫠 I didn't realize how heavy the role pilots and ATC play when routine flights turn sour until I was made aware. I never saw flights, take off, landings, long waits in taxis, circling up in air near the airport the same way again 😂
Only If you have to go to the counter. I remember going to the counter when the flight Is a non-eu and or I cannot get checked in online. But 90% of the time then I can check in online...

Awesome video But the environment impact from this is mind blowing to the supplies customers get to the food containers . Rubber on run way . It’s just crazy the amount of flights in the air is mind blowing !
Very interesting @ informative, thank you!! As a Captain with 30 years of experience, Boeing 757, 727, Fokker F-28, G-159, DC-3 and smaller aircraft as a bush pilot
Wow I wish they had those kid of hygiene and food safety protocols throughout the food services and production industries. after watching this I might eat out exclusively at airlines
They are all part of a MDT (multidisciplinary team) to ensure air safety, be it on the ground, or in the air. To remove runway lights twice a week to clean them so pilots aren't flying into a blackhole, to the canine handlers, the cooks, the cleaners, the mechanics, the controllers, the pilots and the cabin crew, all of these people sing from the same hymn sheet; 'air safety'. Only cog in the works is the unpredictable passengers that make fools of themselves by being intoxicated, and jeopardising all of the hard work that has been done to ensure our safety.
Flight Attendant Trainer: We're here to show you what it takes to be a Delta Airline Flight Attendant. 10 seconds into training session.. Flight Attendant Trainer: Sir, our flight is overbooked. I need you, your wife & toddler to gave up your seats & exit the airplane or I'm calling security.
These workers in white suits work harder than the rest of the crew onboard the plane. They’ve got what it takes to break boundaries. God bless them all.
You can't really compare them since their work is so different. I'd say the chefs work equally as hard as the flight attendants, handlers, maintenance folk, and everyone else in this video.
I don't know... the fact that they put themselves on a plane multiple times a day everady.... if it was me that fact would start eating at me pretty hard... my luck is pretty bad so i'd be expecting the worst eventually.... not like i have a fear of flying... i just would really hate to put the fate of my life in multiple mecahincs and pilots hands constantly. All just for a job as a flight attendant... plus they go through some stressful shit with passengers... evreyones job sucks in some way and everyone desreves respect for helping the world go round... plus if I'm flyin I'm not gonna eat any of those omletts or shitty food those people made so to me their job is kinda worthless... very robotic and easily preformed... if i could listen to a podcast and get decent pay to actually support a family doing the job... i probably could do it for the rest of my life... only danger seems realtively the same as normal day to day activities.
Why compare? Everybody chose what they were interested in studying at school and got the job in that field. It is not about who uses more physical strength. It's about doing your job to the highest standard, no matter what job it is
Thank you for sharing coz I’m planning to retire in Manila. I started looking for local insurance. Your informations helped a lot. You are right hospital stock option is one of the best.
I was a ramp agent, loader, driver and baggage supervisor at JFK in 1995. The weight of new bags is horrendous. Carry-ons are so heavy now. my cousin was a FA retired now. TWA & AA from 60s to 2000. Constellation L1011. B707, 727, 737, 747. The huge plane is alot of work speed and efficiency required.
1:09:23 Provisional US passports are good for the UN sector but cross-verify with crown panes for securitization and markets assessments eg: quebec, anzac, scotland, EU
As a Ground handler, wish we could ban the carry-on suitcases like during Covid. the passengers survived with limited carry-on, now, it's just excess luggage brought on board.
euhh flight attendant training, correct me if im wrong, dont you inflate when you are in the water? not before? its being a while since i flown but i think i remember that from the safety briefing or was it when youre just outside the water?
(idk if its different for other Countries) As someone who has worked the same exact job as the chefs that cook for airlines. they cook/prep food close to the airport. they are very strict when it comes to delivering the food to the airlines. like if there's a delay at the factory, there are BIG BIG fines that get issued
forgot the most important asspect about most airlines and airports, The fuelers, persoanlly being an aircraft fueler we are the underdogs we are almost completely forgot about considering our tremendous role in the role reason why airplanes are in the sky in the first place, planes absolutly cannot leave the terminal without the right fuel without it alot wrong can happen
What I honestly always wonder is like what happens if someone uses like 10 cans of axe body spray on there luggage, can the K9 officer still pick out the right smells
don't think it was covered, but the air traffic controllers have to have exceptionally high test scores to get assigned to work at airports as busy as hartsfield-jackson. and there's an age limit to apply.
I once was checked by a dog patrol at Incheon airport after baggage reclaim and I felt super confused. I guess it was just a routine check but when you got nothing bad in mind and suddenly you get asked if it's okay to have your baggage checked by the dog it's still irritating as you have no clue what's happening. But I guess the confusion is a very small price to pay for everyone's safety.
THE MAIN PROBLEM IS THE MONOPOLY OF HOUSING, NOT THE PEOPLE!!!! IF U ARE WEALTHY PERSON DOING RENTAL PROPERTY BUSINESS, NO MATTER OF MULTI CONSTRUCTION EFFORTS TO BUILD BUILD BUILD HOUSING, IF THE MONOPOLIST TOOK ALL THE HOUSING AND RENTING IT OUT. THERE WILL BE ALWAYS A LOOOOOOT OF SHORTAGE.
I noticed there was no detail regarding the Emirates free housing on offer in Dubai. Perhaps this is a result of these complimentary residences that the flight attendants are so lucky to be bestowed with bear a striking resemblance to Treblinka.

The food for Singapore Airlines is legit gourmet and looks absolutely delectable! ❤

Ikr, I've watched Pilot Debrief and saw how ATCs saved the lives of new, low time and seasoned pilots and its passengers. 🤩
Unfortunately in aviation all the professions are to be known as unsung heroes cus the bitter truth is that pilots alone fall under exception over this to the passengers 🙃
I don’t think passengers notice if the food tastes ok rather than meh if they are already tired and uncomfortable
Love your content! Keep it coming!
Refreshing video to watch in the sea of Titan videos. It was horrific but has been concluded in massive detail, enough.
Amazing. So much quality content is packed in one single video.

Always fly Singapore airlines whenever possible. They have the best customers and food and drink options are always top notch, even in Economy class.
