It's remarkable how short the attention span of the modern TV watcher is. Jingle keys in front of them enough and they don't care how little things are explained or forget things that happened in the same season.

The writers would probably do better in a setting they could make from the ground up. It’s good work but only if it were in a vacuum. I love Chris’ work but his best stuff has always been playing in somebody else’s sandbox Star Wars, Fallout, etc.he is nerd supreme and the writers of the TV show aren’t so much. I think the show is maybe a few hurdles short of being a perfectly fine Fallout show, I think the writers just couldn’t kill their darlings to figure out what the show was really about.

Ghoulification don't provide that recovery rate, correct. Hydra does. Having had a gun pointed at him, then mix in the "experimental drug" that Hancock used.
The Ghoul isn't invulnerable, given the line "a small drop in a large bucket of drugs" suggests he prepped with any and all chems in the book.
I did the same thing when playing hardest difficulty mode/hardcore/survival/whatever, and self inflicted perma death. I'm not playing anything anymore though.
Complaining about Gulpers in the shows west coast is like complaining about Death Claws in the Capital Wasteland or Eastern Commonwealth.
Ffs, they're mutated Axolotl's, where does it say they can't exist everywhere? And given their regenerative abilities, of course they would be researched.
So the new cult of the NCR doesn't make sense. But the Children of Atom and all the previous wacky stuff somehow did?
It's a series based off an RPG, even back in dice days *ALL* systems I touched had wacky elements to them. And guess what. We had fun.
Take it for what it attempts to be, and deal with it instead of complaining like a spoiled brat who can't have his childhood toys anymore.
For what it attempts to be, it succeeds massively. If 90% of Fallout fans and 95% of non Fallout fans says so, then maybe there's something to it?
Finding an authority who agrees don't mean much when there are other authorities that disagrees. Worth discussing? Sure. Draw conclusions? Nope.
As for New Vegas looking okay, does it look like New Vegas is doing okay? Something bad went down in the timeline, we just don't know exactly what yet.
Does it have mistakes, retcons, or outright bad decisions? Probably. Does the flawless even exist, even in movies with higher budgets? Not that I know of.
Sorry, you just come out as someone who loves to find something to hate for the sake of hating. No attempts explaining or show of good will. Thumbs down.

      @gottagowork 14 днів тому

@@PapitoQinn I would hope so, as the audience is broader. But I don't think the two mediums are comparable. I'd say the writing may be better in the show than the Bethesda games (especially FO4, I know nothing about FO76), but you also couldn't write like that for a game. I don't think the writing beats Fallout New Vegas (and DLCs) though. Add the DLCs to Fallout 3, and the writing improves overall.

I thought Maximus' acting made sense but why he felt the need to confess to Lucy that he let his Knight died as if it was blot on his character made zero sense. The Knight would've got him killed and the fact he left a whole bag of supplies made zero sense and the idea he could keep that armor without anyone caring he has it makes no sense. He would've gotten killed if a BoS member caught him in it. His best course of action at that point would've been to defect and begin life anew.
It also made zero sense for Lucy to have no PTSD from witnessing her Vault friends get viciously murdered. This makes no sense. But of course the biggest problem this show has is an impossibly absurd amount of incompetent characters. Maximus is incompetent, Thaddeus is incompetent, the doctor drilling on a foot for scientist is incompetent, Knight Titus is incompetent, the scientist himself unaliving himself before fully explaining the situation is somehow incompetent, and the ghoul trying to run out the axol with a stick is ridiculous. This entire show is made up of incompetent people and it's not enjoyable to watch. We're watching buffoons do Spongebob Squarepant in a nuclear fallout setting. Can anyone name a cool character in this show?
The ghoul? He's not cool at all. He's OP in a bad way, you literally can't kill him. He's like the f qing wolverine I swear to God. OP characters are lame and uninteresting. They couldn't have made Maximus a techno geek that's really good with hacking and maybe is good at outmanuvering his enemies? Norm gives away his position by letting Betty know he's on to her? How is that high IQ?
My god...and is no one going to explain why no one thought to take over the other open Vault by bringing back raiders to claim it as their own? It also made sense for the raiders to go along with Moldiver's plan when they could live out their in Vault 32 rather than raid a Vault that would cost them their lives unnecessarily. That made no sense. It would've made more sense and for it to be cooler if Moldiver enlisted people who bitter about the nuking of Shady Sands and wanted to capture Hank Maclean. And the fact they're raiders was so f qing obvious. The writers could've been a lot more subtle about it but whatever.
