“A warrior is more than his armor.” -Mandalorian Proverb
"Weapons are just tools. True strength lies within me!" - Mitsurugi, Soulcalibur 4
Interesting side fact:
Canderous Ordo has a tank named after him in Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption. It also happens to be the most powerful tank in the game.
I have something even more powerful! Canderous meet MOBILE PROTON TORPEDO LAUNCHER A-2!
RIP John Cygan. His voice was so distinct, he was both Solidus Snake and Canderous.
Galactic citizen: How did you become an epic Mandalorian?
Mandalorian: So I start blasting
Some people might think that is somewhat insulting to think of Mandalorian as uneducated or uncultured, many teenagers Mando's know several alien languages and have great skills as field medics, starships or weapon engineers & have a degree of combat experience only seen by WW 2 or Vietnam War soldiers,
The Mandalorians lost their soul in the fight against Revan. Canderous gave it back to them.
Honestly his story in KOTOR 2 is just heartbreaking, regardless of whether your character is light or dark side his story is still incredibly tragic, he truly is a beautifully written character.

All of Kotor 2's characters are great, with Kreia and Canderous being the two best... Love that game...
Canderous: Insults? Maybe if your Master had trained your Lightsaber to be as quick as your tongue you could have escaped the Vulkars, you spoiled little Jedi Princess!
Bastila: I was not spoiled! I was given the same training as everyone else in the Order! You're nothing but a... no. I must not do this. There's no Emotion. There is Peace.

The Mandalorians embody my favorite quote of all times. "When in doubt, use C4" ~ Jamie Hyneman
The Fact that he went toe-to-toe with a Sith MASTER, Darth Niaulus, and Lived to tell about it says everything you need know about him!
@@indianhacker9062
Seriously, Niaulus was OP as hell, and he still couldn’t kill a non-force user!
@@underworldguardian704 I was only trying to point out that you had misspelt Nihilus. Also, Canderous only survived because Nihilus had tried to consume Meerta and, because she was a wound in the force, was unable to and became weakened to the point where he could be hurt. If Meetra hadn't been there, Canderous and Visas would have been consumed like nothing.
@@indianhacker9062 ok I agree with you, like 100%, but I also don’t think him not being able to actually beat Nihilus in a 1v1 takes away from his badassery.
Nihilus was powerful enough that I think he could be one of the few Sith Lords on par with legends sidious in some ways(sidious was stronger in the force but Nihilus is a wound in the force and thus the nature of his power is different) if not actually kill legends sidious in a 1v1. A random mandalorian, even a bad ass one, has no business in that fight
@@ianharrison5758 I never meant to take away from his badassery. He was Mandolore after all and that is pretty epic. But I just want to make sure that people don't get an unrealistic picture of him so he remains grounded and cool.
He is why I developed a fascination with the Mandalorian culture.
Canderous Ordo was and always will be one of my favorite Mandalorian characters in Star Wars. I always loved listening to his stories while playing KOTOR. He was also my favorite in KOTOR 2 as well. If I was a Mandalorian, I would fight along side him. And if I was one of the Mandalorians during the Dark Wars, I would fight for him as well. His speech in the KOTOR 2 cut content still gives me chills to this day.
A greater Mandalorian? I mean, Boba Fett. Tactically withdrawing into a Sarlacc. Pure genius.
Kreia: "The future is always in motion, it is a difficult thing to see. Perhaps there will be no new age, Mandalore, no great Mandalorian crusade. Perhaps your people fought their last battle at Malachor V, and you have been dying ever since, a quiet death that will last centuries. And perhaps all that remains will be what I see before me: a man, wounded by a Jedi, encased in a Mandalorian shell, haunted by the thought of being the last of the Mandalorians."
Mandalore: "You've got some guts, talking to me like that. You think your age or your Jedi whelp are going to keep you safe from me?"
Kreia: "No, Mandalore. You are wrong. I hope that it is you who will keep the one I travel with safe. You are loyal, and you have served many masters, even when they abandoned you. Do you wonder where he wanders now, Mandalore? Why he gave you your orders then abandoned you at the edge of the galaxy?"
Mandalore: "How do you know that?"
Kreia: "I know many things, and I can answer the question that burns within your shell, Mandalore. But there is a price. You must keep the one I travel with safe. She is important to me - more important than anything."
Easily one of my favorite dialogues in KOTOR 2.
Beskar plated balls.......
Grevious : Another fine addition to my collection
“We Mandalorians have a saying. A warrior who doesn't hope for battle has no hope during battle.”
- Te Taylir Mand'alor (Canderous Ordo)
@@geetslys Everything about them was/is badass, especially the old republic era mandalorians. The whole living on Dxun in kotor 2 for no real reason other than it being a constant struggle is the perfect example.
Canderous showed that there's more to being a warrior than fighting. You also need to have people to care about, a cause to think about, and a vision to talk about. He knew what he was fighting for, and the honor of being a warrior for what you care about is immediately apparent. I like that the Book of Boba Fett, in the trailers at least, seems to be leaning on the same idea. Boba doesn't want to rule with fear, he wants to do things the way he sees as right. It makes him much more memorable.
Now this is what a mandalorian ruler should be, not a pacifist like Satine
Cart: Nice speech. I bet you tell yourself that every night so you can sleep
Oh come on. I mean sure he did re-establish the Mando'ade as a significant faction on the galactic stage. And he didn't die to feed some rabid Sith apprentice's grudge against someone else. And wasn't mortally wounded by piece of mandalorian history... You know what? You're absolutely right.
You arent wrong it's an embarrassment for the best fighters in star wars to depend on the jedi and republic for protection. The same people who decimated them.
"Beskar Balls" needs to be the name of Episode 1 of the upcoming 3rd season of the Mandalorian.
This guy is the embodiment of having a purpose. When you see, understand AND ACCEPT the bigger picture, you can cause tsunamis with just a teaspoon.
“… carrying his massive Beskar balls behind him” and I thought Jango was the ultimate Chad of Mandalore
THAT’S why I watch your videos daily lol, they’re the best for Star Wars lore hands-down
Jango wasn't even from Mandalore! (Though Canderous probably wasn't born there either)
"I'm here if you want things done right!" -Canderous Ordo, idk the first two comments (i've seen) were mandalorian quotes so here's the 3rd
*"Weapons are my religion"* - Mando
We need a another Mandalorian TV show with more focus on the Mandalorians and they're culture
Imagine a Clone army of Ordo instead of Fett…
That would either mean the Empire would be unstoppable, or if enough rebelled with Rex that the Empire would have been crushed within just a few years after forming.
Frankly, the whole "warrior versus soldier" squabbling was made a moot point by the "Grand Army of the Republic" being a bunch of Mandalorian slaves (cloned beings trained with Mando techniques to be cannon fodder for a lazy, corrupt Republic elite and their Jedi enforcers). Misters Ordo and Onasi would both be appalled, if not spinning in those graves with enough velocity to power a planet.
@@Allronix Great, now all I can think about is Carth's and Canderous' grave next to each other (for some bloody reason) just absolutely gyrating while plugged in to a forerunner looking structure XD
Palpatine would never go for it because he wanted an army he could control, they would be unstoppable. That being said, would love to have them on our side.
Nu Kyr’adyc, shi taab’echaaj’la “Not gone, merely marching far away”- Mandalorian saying
I imagine he was basically the Boba Fett of his time too... He's EXACTLY the kinda leader of his people that the ACTUAL leaders shoulda had their eyes on to take charge in the event something like traditional succession protocols were ever broke like they was... I imagine even disgusted if WAY greater Mandalorian leaders in higher rank then him like Mandalore himself left it in his Will or something... Canderous woulda grudgingly took the reins an whipped his people back into some sorta functional shape quite a bit earlier then he did. Mandalorians pride in themselves as warriors and their people means ALOT to them.
Boba Fett even though I love him was not a good leader. Canderous Ordo was legitimately a good leader.
Canderous is definitely one of the more epic Mandalorians in Star Wars history.
He also had the most badass entrance when he boarded the Raveger, even with the graphics that scene is the most badass scene in any Star Wars game to date.
3:52 Geetslys: Revan's tactical genius was unrivaled!
Me: I'm still waiting for a video on whether he could defeat Thrawn, or not.
If Revan was Able to Board Thrawns ship. I would give the win to Revan. Other then that. I don't know enough about the 2 to say who would win. it's a tough call.
@@eldrenofthemist2492 I think Thrawn would anticipate him boarding and stop from doing that really easily
Revan 9/10 times winning. that 1 battle he loses is not quite a disaster but very close to one.
Boba Fett: I was the best bounty hunter in the Imperial Era and now i have my own criminal empire.
Din Djarin: I became the father of the cutest being in the galaxy and i've obtained the darksaber in a duel against Moff Gideon.
Canderous Ordo: Amateurs.
Din Djarin: What was that, punk?
Canderous Ordo: Amateurs.
"Raise your sons to be strong, but your daughters to be stronger" - Mandalorian proverb
Ah yes, beskar plated balls.
Nice. He's always been my favorite in kotor 1 and 2
Say, Geetsly's, any plans on doing the ancient history of the first Mandalorians a.k.a. the Taung, from them being one of the Celestial's peace-loving and immortal Firstborn, their initial living on the planet Notron (later called Coruscant), their decline to warring brutality and conquest by the human Zhell via good old expansionism and deceit, and their decline and replacement by the current Mandalorians we all know and worship/lambast?
If you're wondering the extra lore, I got this from Supernatural Encounters.
And he was voiced by John Cygan, the voice of Solidus Snake.
RIP John Cygan. Truly a badass voiceactor. (Also a last name worthy of Star Wars)
You forgot "simple bounty hunters".😏
True goat of Mandalorian wasn’t human
FOR MANDALORE!!!
*sees description quote* Yep. I'm that kind of guy, both in real life and in fiction with lore and worldbuilding.
A shame all his hard work to restore his people back to greatness ended mostly in vain.
I still think the events of KotOR III are an offscreen moment of awesome (akin to what happened between Monkey Island 2 and The Curse of Monkey Island); if anyone wants a similar onscreen version of such a war, so to stoke the fires of imagination, try playing Dragon Age: Origins and Mass Effect 3.
Yeah, SWTOR deciding to make the Mandalorians he rebuilt just go back to being Sith puppets with barely a little side story explaining it and no real chance to change it was extremely frustrating. Drew K. REALLY wanted to shit on everything KotOR 2 built up.
This guy had *"Balls of Beskar"*
His dark side supporting dialogue is great, tied only with HK-47 IMO. Those two made being a murderous space wizard fun. No nagging or lectures, just taking care of meatbags.
I can see why the Zann Consortium’s most OP land unit was named after this guy
Single handedly raised his people up from being wanderin disjointed thugs and bullies back to being Mandalorians
Canderous if I remember literally stood up to several Force abilities used against him just by essentially mentally going " No. " - which is the reason that non-Force users can sometimes resist your abilities in the games. In the original lore, everybody was at least somewhat sensitive to the Force because it was the equivalent of a soul. So, Canderous not only was able to just go " Nuh-uh. " when a Force ability was used against him, but Revan was about the only person consistently strong enough to hurly Canderous around without him resisting it. Revan and Canderous had such a huge bromance- think about this - such a huge bromance that Revan went " Canderous bro, here's the mask I hid from your people. You're the only full package Mandalorian I've met with a good mind for their culture and a good mind for diplomacy, so I'm giving it to you. Rebuild your people. "
Canderous introduced some of the newer customs too, including enclaves so that they could grow in secret without drawing too much attention. Yes while they rebuilt OLD bases, they also built enclaves hidden across multiple planets and when a tragedy would happen, they would go pick through the wreckage for survivors that proved hardy enough to... well, survive - and offer them salvation to be paid by service. Most of the time those people were so pissed at their attackers they would accept. Others with less lust for battle while looked down upon, still learned to excel in combat but most of the time got put to other tasks like blaster-tech, armor-smithing, hunting so the Mandos had fresh meat to devour because go figure, the warmongering badasses are mostly omnivorous, but you needed good protein to build muscle mass and then you still had cooks, camp serfs, etc. The serfs while not given full beskar still had GREAT armor for the time that could at least deflect light blaster bolts or glancing rifle shots - which at the time is incredibly impressive when you realize these people were rebuilding from scraps and still had equipped their soldiers so well already.
This is Canon for me!
Canderous is a total CHAD! Dude definitely earned his title for Mandalore and being the greatest of his people😎
Kal skirata: was a father, a warrior, and most importantly a proud mandalorian.
Geetsly what do you think of the Mankvin-814 Light Interceptor? The Separatists' version of the V-wing?
Yeah, it's absolutely not their version of a B-Wing. It was a conversion job of a conventional fighter line, nothing piloted by an OOM or B1 is going to stand up to a V-Wing. Even a Vulture has a better chance.
Canderous Ordo is interesting because his story kinda retcons some mandalorian lore from previous sources concerning species. Originally it was the case that the Mandos were taungs and then after the casualties of the great sith war they began recruiting non tuangs into their ranks. Problem with this is that canderous wasn't recruited, he was born into the culture, into a Mando clan, before the great sith war and he said he learned to fly a basilisk war droid early on, which were the Mandos most prized possessions. Give these facts, and given that he said he says he's been fighting for 40 years, the year the great sith war took place would seem to imply that he was a mandalorian warrior before the neo crusaders. Possibly implying that there were humans in the ranks of the mandalorians before the neo crusaders were founded. This could be justified that clan ordo were the human population of ordo before the mandalorian conquest and were assimilated into Mando culture making them an exception.
Mandalorians are a basic equivalent of what is a Scott and Spartan had a baby it's a mandalorian jacked up on steroids🥁🤣
A mandolorian greater than Canderous Ordo? Maybe Din Dajarin if he continues down the path that he chose........ "This is the Way"
Order 66 would be different if the clones were made out of him.
That speech by Canderous on the bridge of the Ravager was so great, and then to have that terrible Revan Novel, where they WASTED the Jedi Exile character, and Revan... then having horrible Vitiate be the darkness in the Unknown Regions... just terrible... wasted Revan, the Exile, and a great story... just to sell the Old Republic game, that was just ok... sad...
"dragging his MASSIVE Beskar balls along with him...", I am still laughing.
Really enjoyed this one, i always had a soft spot for canderous in kotor 1 and 2.
My single most favourite companion in KOTOR because he was the only one to support my sith path

This is awesome I've always wanted to learn more about canderous>:D
Just finished playing KOTOR 2 a few days ago, and now it makes sense. I’m kinda slow, didn’t realize Mandalore in KOTOR 2 was Canderous himself. But it all makes sense now. Brings back many memories of KOTOR and now KOTOR 2
Unriveled bad assery. Beautiful vid. O yeau i rememeber this guy from the revan book.
I fuckin knew that was Canderous under that armor in KOTOR 2. Definitely the greatest warrior of his kind

Canderous Ordo: The Mandalorian Chad who picked a fight with the Vong before Luke and Palpatine made it cool. Will always love this character!
mandalore, or canderous, give him some powerful fully upgraded vibroswords and watch him show all those sith lords what force really is
we will get a Kotor 3 and we will get that War that Revan said was coming the Republic/Mandalorians will be Ready to stand behind Revan
@12:06: Yes, those are massive, and they are made of bes'kar. And while it may not be well known to the *Republic* at large, I'd like to think that one of the Republic admirals totally knew about his Mandalorian brother providing some well needed backup to save his home from a second death, though he had to keep his mouth shut and invoke his famous protests of "not wanting to talk about it" due to the scandal it would cause.
He was Revans pilot. So badass!
While we all say what we love on Canderous, to me. It is his loyalty, he was loyal to his Mandalore and by tradition. He was loyal to the "New" Mandalore in Revan before he was given the title by him.
Based on Mandalorian Tradition, noone can claim this as a falsehood. Reason Canderous is the Galahad of star wars, pure loyal to the end.
In many ways, Canderous was a proto-Wrex. Legendary warrior, disgusted with his people's fall that led him to become a wandering mercenary, reinvigorated by a hero (Revan/Shepherd) and goes on to reunite his scattered people to give them purpose and hope.
Was the coming war the Yuuzhan Vong War? That war was so terrible, that the entire Star Wars Galaxy had to unite into a single political and military entity to even have a chance at winning.
Also Canderous is probably one of the first to encounter the Yuuzhan Vong.
Next time, I'd like you to do a video on Vergere, the rogue Jedi who lived among the Yuuzong Vong for over 50 years.
The ONE good thing to come of Disney wiping the EU... The Vong are gone...
@@steelshanks1265 Oh, jeez, um... I hate to tell this to you but... the Yuuzong Vong are most definitely canon. When Disney wrote Thrawn's 'story', it said how he left Chiss space during the Clone Wars to see if the Republic would be worthy allies against the upcoming Yuuzong Vong invasion, only to determine that they weren't before returning to his people to give his report. So yeah...
@@teleportedbreadfor3days Yeah... ok bro... sure, they'll make it as big as when the Vong fist came out... Also, this is Disney numb-nuts, they have already forgot that story, and 75% of the so-called Canon they've made LOL!

Kal Skirata is also pretty great!
I like the fact that a human can defeat a Sith or Jedi . Like some of Fett's ancestors defeated multiple Jedi

Hey this is the first time I comment on this channel but I like your star wars content
Mandalorian the perserver sounds like a badass name to begin with.
As a title, it brings to mind the title bestowed upon the Roman emperor Aurelian, who famously put an end to the Crisis of the Third Century, and was called "Restitutor Orbis" - "Restorer of the World".
What about Rohlan Dyre from the KOTOR comics?
The old angry bad guy from avatar would be a great canderous
The true G.O.A.T. of the Mandalorians...
...Is yet to come!
I think Ron Pearlman back in his younger years would make a great Canderous in a old republic movie.
He’s literally Din Djarin
Mandolorian neo crusaders vs eternal empire vs CIS droid army vs yuzhan vong. Throw the mandos in the mix wit these three I still think they can come out on top. The mandos will probly forever be one of my most favorite Star Wars factions
I know that Canderous is the best, but what do he have to do with the Generalized Occupational Aptitude Test? :P
The one Mandalorian who seems to come close is Rohlan Dyre from the KotOR comics...
Though, technically, Demagol might fit under it, but he is not someone most want to deal with...even his own side
