"Mandelorians. Trained from birth to fight in battle. Their bodies are honed into killing machines. These independent warrior nomads have challenged the Jedi for centuries. The Mandelorians embrace conflict and admire strength. But they are different from our dark counterparts. They are not like the Sith. Mandelorians believe confrontation is required for growth, on the personal as well as cultural level. War is the Mandelorian way of life, combined with their thirst for conquest it makes them undeniably dangerous. However we must acknowledge their commitment to self improvement is not unlike our own. And there is something respectable about their rugged sense of honor. But they are not our friends. The Mandelorians allegiance to our enemies have cost us dearly" Jedi Master Gnost-Dural report on the Mandelorians from the Jedi Archives - Star Wars: The Old Republic

I am having a nerdgasm right now. Revan in invicta. Now this asks for a quote: "It was not your ships or your men or your vaunted 'fight for freedom' that won this, the final battle of the war. It was by the actions of one person-the Jedi Revan-that you prevailed. Revan's strategies and tactics defeated the best of us. Even Mandalore himself was taken aback by the ferocity, the tenacity, and the subtlety of Revan's plans." - Canderous Ordo
Reven Dishonored the Mandalorians by allowing them to live, Mandalorians honor strength which is why if you defeat them you should always wipe them all out.
@@MusMasi We must remember that Revan joined the war to stop the Mandalorians and not destroy them. He was a Jedi and to a Jedi all life is precious. Besides o can imagine that after years battling the Mandalorians, Revan may have gained a respect for the martial culture of the Mandalorians and their devotion to their culture.
An excellent, well researched half hour of entertainment. Thank you for giving us a slice of the real Mandalorian culture, not the watered down pish Mouse version. Shame you mixed the Disney canon into the Legends lore (whistling bird, Darksaber) , and the Venators are mad anachronistic in the Old Republic era, but I did see the comment stating it's just a reused asset. The Mandalorian Civil War in Legends could be a solid sequel, or you could compare that to the canon one - Death Watch, True Mandalorians vs CW peaceful Mandos, Death Watch, maybe the Maul takeover.
All of this reminded me of Master Gnost Dural's Galactic timeline videos of the Old Republic MMO. The voice of Lance Henriksen resonates on my mind, Also reminds me how poorly made The Mandalorian has become. Great video, more people need to watch who "real" Mandalorians are.
Incredible video Friend...one of the best detail story I have ever seen! For your last word about what new star war story, can you make about the "The Sun Guard"! Thanks..
The Exar Kun and Ulic Qel Droma era is under rated. Everyone wants a Kotor show or remake but if prefer that time period with Exar Kun getting more spotlight and a show or game.
Great video. Legends Star Wars is still the 'true' Star Wars for many, to be sure. Therein exists the Rakata, an ancient species that weirded the force in a far more intuitive way than the Jedi or Sith. There aren't many UA-cam videos which go into detail on them.
In EU, the Mandalorians used a similar-looking ship... it is posdible, that Venator was based on Mandalorian design, like Dreadnought-class cruiser was
@@andreykuzmin4355 I came here to say exactly that. The main differences being that the Mandalorian ship was smaller, as all ships of this time period were, and its role was different, rather than being some weird carrier/battleship hybrid it was a guided missile cruiser
Appreciate the attempt, and it's an interesting mesh of Legends and Canon. Thanks for the hard work everyone put into this. Personally wish Canon hadn't... Diluted the culture. But it's done. So thanks so much for working what you could.
According to Kanan Jarrus (in Rebels), the Mandalorians lost the war against the Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic. The Mandalorians are great warriors but nothing compare to the power of the Force.
A Revan movie or 6 would have been so good, purely because him picking up the mask and dueling Mandalore 1 on 1 is such a powerful moment. I mean, I'm glad Disney isn't doing it, but the Mandalorians are such a great enemy both in the big wars, then even more so following devastating defeat. It proves their philosophy, they may be politically irrelevant and disgruntled, but when you idealize strength they certainly follow that culture in a way that's distinct.
Wouldn't happen with modern star wars, some EU content, this conflict in particular aren't exactly "child and family friendly" it's nothing on a 40k level (leave that to the yuzahn vong) but it is still pretty violent.
@@delta2372 that is one thing that both disappoints me and pisses me off. just imagine the old republic era movies but without restriction to family friendly just pure war movies action

@Delta 23 clone wars is mid it's literally just a war of money who can pay for more droids and clones bruh the real war is when imperials and republican troopers fight head on with actual lives on the line while also having to fight thousands of jedi and sith. The old Republic era is far more interesting in every way than anything new. I don't even want to acknowledge Star Wars past rule of two it just ends the era where two super powers fight with everything they have every super weapon at their disposal.

I got to say that I'm really impressed by your video. No one really has the time to explain Mandalorian history like you do my friend and I thank you for that because I definitely love this video thumbs up. 👍
KOTOR 2 takes place just after all this and is such a great and immersive backdrop for a game
Amazing watching this channel go from a total war page to expanded media and art. Congrats
The Mandelorians allegiance to our enemies have cost us dearly"
Jedi Master Gnost-Dural report on the Mandelorians from the Jedi Archives - Star Wars: The Old Republic
Wow thank you so much for this !!
I hope that we will see the Mask of Mandalore in live action in the future. How cool would it be to see the ancient and hallowed relic, the nearest thing to a crown the Mandalorians have ever known, be rediscovered and claimed once more for the clans
God bless you, Invicta, for making this.
Greatest thing I’ve watched in a while I love mandalorians soo much this was incredible!!
Awesome video I think you'd do a good job on The Siths War with the Jedi ....any of them it could be the first war or the war with The Sacking Of Coruscant but I also think other star wars areas would be awesome to cover like The Jedi Civil War, The Clone Wars, The Hyperspace Wars and so much more either way I'm gonna enjoy these videos cause this was awesome
Whoever read this thank you and goodbye
Awesome!! Thank you best video over this I’ve seen
This was amazing!!! I loved every second of it!
I found this both entertaining and enlightening and I look forward to part 2 of those documentary
I am having a nerdgasm right now. Revan in invicta. Now this asks for a quote:
"It was not your ships or your men or your vaunted 'fight for freedom' that won this, the final battle of the war. It was by the actions of one person-the Jedi Revan-that you prevailed. Revan's strategies and tactics defeated the best of us. Even Mandalore himself was taken aback by the ferocity, the tenacity, and the subtlety of Revan's plans."
- Canderous Ordo
don't you have somewhere to be? NAMELY THE FRONT!
What a nice video. I would love to see more videos like this about star wars
I love it when you do episodes like this.
amazing video
That was a nice break, loved it!
Never did I expect something like this, but I'm not complaining
Absolutely brilliant video! The lord of the Mandalorians is among the best of any fictional culture!!!
Dude niiiiice. I wasn't sure it was you till the art started roling
Awesome video. I was looking for something like this
Was not expecting this but I’m quite glad I got the notification
Interesting stuff, its wild how much Lore has come out of this one sci-fi universe.
My favorite faction, the more lore on them the better. However, I wish there was more coverage on the Kaleesh as well.
This is such a well made video, feels like a legit produced documentary by the discovery channel or something- except better haha
Yes I could not agree more
31:22 the story which we sadly never got
This was Very enjoyable to listen to. Hope to see Moore mandalorian lore soon if possible
Old Republic-era lore is the best of Star Wars, imo.
100%
I love that a history channel is now covering Star Wars history as if it's legitimate historical fact.
Brings a tear to my eyes.
Love this channel more and more with each post 🤘
Oh yeah!!!! Guy Michaels is the best narrator ever!!!!!!!😁😁😁😁😁💯💯💯💯
Thanks Alec!
WOW. just WOW. Thank you Invicta!
WE NEED PART 2‼️‼️
Great video. Legends Star Wars is still the 'true' Star Wars for many, to be sure. Therein exists the Rakata, an ancient species that weirded the force in a far more intuitive way than the Jedi or Sith. There aren't many UA-cam videos which go into detail on them.
Invicta giving us Mandalorian history in the same degree he gives us Roman history?
*SOLD*
Would love to see an in-depth video on the Mandalorian Wars!
9/10 video, very beautiful and informative.
The Venators used by Mandalorians 💀
dang you noticed the venators... that was indeed a recycled asset for an episode we have in the works on those starships
You guys should consider covering Marka Rangos and Emporer Vitiate
According to Kanan Jarrus (in Rebels), the Mandalorians lost the war against the Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic.
The Mandalorians are great warriors but nothing compare to the power of the Force.
I love you guys. Thank you so much for doing my favorite faction in all of Star Wars. ♥
I can ONLY imagine seeing that fight in the Movie Theaters , Mandalore The Ultimate vs Revan 1v1 😂😂
@@dragnarok4286 well that's also another thing to, SW fans circle jerk the clone wars era so much that's all people want to see with the conflict side of star wars which as we know from the mandalorian wars and other, there are WAAAY cooler wars than the clone one
Well that was an awesome video to stumble upon.
>Why he activated a black hole? Why destroy his own army?
>Talk about Mandalore the Gamer.
I’m curious how much Lore and how many topics to cover? I’m curious if you guys even do collaborations with topics that have extensive lore.
