- On July 3rd, I'll play my first Wimbledon Match, and I'm excited to share this experience. I'm ready, and I'm feeling great! We take a look back at what I experienced in March 2023 after my injury until today, June 2023.

Her match back in 2005 against Davenport in the final was the best female match I have ever seen... OMG, still lives freshly in my mind, what a match, highest form in female tennis to this day!!

Hey Venus. Because of you I didn't give certain things up in my life that were supposed to fail. You didn't fail, you won. You stood up after your fall in today's 1st round Wimbledon match and continued to fight. You didn't give up and a loss is a win in this instance. You are a legend even when you lose all of your matches. Your love for the game is what matters, that's the win. Many play just because its their job or they need money. This is why you, Venus, will always be a legend and champion, the winner of everyone's heart ❤
The true story of Venus isn’t those tennis accomplishments but how she has been able to overcome or handle the obstacles in her life, autoimmune disease, injuries and abusive crowds, with much grit and determination. You are a powerhouse Venus. Keep faith. God bless you!

What abusive crowds? Give me an example. All I ever saw was her being admired by crowds. Now granted I haven’t seen every match she played but give me two examples actually and I’ll look them up.
This is hilarious. I just said to someone yesterday that Venus will probably play professional tennis till she’s about 50. 😂😂 And why not? If the body permits, keep doing what gives you joy.

The body didn't permit her from falling and having an injury time out. It's sad watching someone who was so dominant play at a level that is so far beneath her best. But, I look at it this way: Ric Flair (i know wrestling is fake) had to be told at 60 to hang it up. Had his last match last year at 73.
Just know we ALL appreicate you and everything you've achieved. If you do keep playing till 50, i'm sure most of us will be here with you cheering you on! 😊

I just love Venus - a true legend. She has such a graceful and calm demeanour. Her sheer love of tennis keeps her going and I admire her determination to battle injury and achieve more. She never said she'll play until she's 50, but we are privileged to see her each year she's out there.
Sad to see her getting injured and losing in a tough opening round at Wimbledon, but she's a fighter.

I was in London in February and decided to walk to Wimbledon and saw the courts wow! I got to the till in the shop and thought I was just paying for the museum but the man said and 15 minutes on centre court! Wow! When I was aloud on centre court ( in the stands) I just sat down and took it in! It was a very special moment a dream come true! My best wishes to you ❤

There's thing you do that I see no other women do on the tour til this day. The serve is still one of the best and your tennis IQ is still top notch. Navratilova won a match at wimbledon at 47 years old in 2004. It's not about being young or old, it's about being serious about professional tennis. I love Venus as well but I think she should play qualifying or ITFs and prove that she's still serious about her carreer and not playing for money and publicity or her youtube channel.
