This is another great scooter that not only has great performance but is very affordable. I feel most new riders or riders with a commuter wanting to upgrade would feel very comfortable with the price of this scooter, even the Gallop you reviewed is an even better performance option.
got mine for 700 after the discount code, comes tomorrow. Cant wait, i got a cheap 300 dollar scooter off amazon that goes 19mph and i get around pretty ez on that, but this has nearly triple the battery and shocks. I cant imagine how much smoother things are gonna feel on that morning commute.
It’ll be a night and day difference haha. Like moving from a Ford Focus to a Cadillac sedan. What I love about this scooter is its versatility compared to your typical commuter scooter. Having the extra ground clearance and suspension travel gives you way more options for riding over obstacles. Plus it’s got the seat which is actually quite comfortable if you need it.
@NiSE_Rafter I got hit by a car, about 2 min after I got my first helmet. It bent the back disk break but that's all had to order a new one waiting on it now everything else runs and works. Pretty tough I'd guess. They haven't gotten back to me on warrantee though. Not sure if hit and run counts? Idk.
@@mykal2803 Dang that sucks! At least you had the helmet 👍. Sounds like you're doing okay though? And unfortunately I don't think hit and run counts as warranty... That's more of the idiot driver's liability than the company. Although if it's just the brake disk at least that doesn't seem too hard to change
HELLO. Tom. Man you do the best reviews on scooters on utube. I love how you Go deep in detail about the scooter. Not many people are doing that. Ausom should have reached out to you. 😎👍🏾
What’s up My guy, Thank you This review is absolutely “Ausom” I just ordered 2 for my Son and I and we are so excited! I reached out to Ausom through email and they sent me a discount code for both of them saved $100.. Total paid 1298! What kind of lock/s would you recommend?
Congrats! That’s a fantastic deal 😀. Very fun scooter all around. I actually just purchased a lock from Litelock, the X1. Took me months to decide because I didn’t want to spend so much money on a lock lol. They are based in the UK and their locks have angle grinder resistance. Too many people out there using angle grinders to remove locks. I would check out this site thebestbikelock.com/. They do thorough tests of most bike/scooter locks and tell you which scenarios each is best for. It definitely helped me a lot. I spent way too much time looking at locks haha.
how many p’s are in the p setting because on the manual it shows all the other p settings but I don’t know if it shows them when you go into the p settings on the scooter like p2 p3 or p4?
@@Dustin-gx4vn it may have been there in the beginning when they first released it but some of the blocked settings are for things like how many magnetic poles the motor has and some other stuff like system voltage.
Only 61 lbs without seat?? It's listed at a few tenths under 70lbs on the site. Problem is, im a fat guy, and a few lbs over the stated max rider weight. I think i may need the extra power of the gallop, but 85lbs is a bit too much. My first scooter was 97lbs and i told myself id never get one that heavy again for commuting.
Yah the seat adds quite a bit of weight. If you’re above the max weight I’d recommend the gallop. The dual motors make all the difference. When you commute with it do you take it inside with you or do you lock it up outside?
@tomsgadgetgarage it would be coming inside the building with me. Security is kind of a pain where I work, too. I haven't asked them directly if I can bring a scooter inside, but I have a feeling ill have a better chance of slipping through the cracks if I'm carrying a folded scooter vs just pushing it inside with the stem upright.
Thank you! Both are great options. The Gallop is heavier and has a more plush suspension. If weight isn’t an issue, I’d go for the Gallop. It can handle basically anything you throw at it.
Yah that was a bit of a miss. I did briefly mention it and added a clip of me riding with the seat but honestly the video was getting a bit long so I didn’t go into much detail. I’ll be posting a short form video that focuses more on the seat. I plan to have that out in the next couple days.
If weight/portability isn’t a major concern, I’d go with the Leopard. The suspension gives you more options in terms of where you ride. It also gives you the option to use a seat, which is actually surprisingly fun.
Hey! So I have two full faced helmets that I use: the O’Neal Sierra II and my new Scorpion EXO R1 Air. Both are excellent choices with great ventilation. I’ll see if I can squeeze in a video on both in the coming weeks.
So it’s IP54 rated meaning it can withstand splashes from all directions. I’ve ridden both the Gallop and the Leopard in light rain conditions unintentionally. Now with that being said, most scooter companies don’t cover water damage, so there’s that.
I just ordered one, I want to order solid tires for it so I don't have to worry about flats, any recommendations or may anyone point me in the right direction to purchase solid tires for the leopard? I'd really appreciate it.
Nice! Have you considered adding some Slime to the tubes? Solid tires are great for avoiding flats, but they are a pain to change out and don’t do as well in wet conditions. You’d need to find 10” x 3” tires with a 6” inner diameter.
Thank you, I think I'll consider the tire slime I haven't found any solid tires that'll fit the leopard unless you know of any sites that are selling them?
@@jazonjimenez..02.32 ordered mine from the Ausom website, I live in California so it only took 1 day to process and came in 2 days. I think the warehouse is in LA somewhere

Great review got all the info i was looking for but I'm still stuck between this and kukirin g2 😅
Get this, I have one and it’s phenomenal

kukirin g2 pro clone, so a clone of a clone :D
More max
theyre actually made by the same team, manufactured in different places so hence different "brand names" but the same team made both scooters.
