I believe that buying a Talaria MX4 and the best controller and it will be as fast as the E Ride pro. The big plus for me is the Talaria has a gear box which is so much better than the primary belt drive of the E Ride. The Talaria Boys did this. They got an E Ride Pro and an stock Talaria MX4 ($4200) and added the best controller ($999)to the stock talaria MX 4 and they were just about the same for a couple of thousand less then the E ride pro
I wanted to put BMX pedals on my Eride too😂 I thought I was the only one it one lol. Also those foam cardboard box things that you don’t know what they are for…it’s for a bike stand you stand them on top of each other on the ground and put the rest the bike on top of it as a stand that put the bike together
To share my enthusiasm for the ERide Pro, Surron, and Talaria community, the ERide Pro SS would be my long term investment than spending so much on upgrades for a Surron Light Bee X to get it up to the power that a Pro SS costs right out of the box. As you discovered, the cost of the Pro SS being what it is, is due to the more powerful controller and the 72V high Amp Hour battery. The unfortunate part is b/c of how much it cost to self maintenance/replace is why I built 2 DYI e-bikes, one being a Norco VPS Shore 3 Mid Drive (1000 Watt 52V) and another which I'm replacing is a Hub drive at 3000 Watts with a 72V battery which is also on a Norco VPS Atomik which is mostly cost friendly. But I'm filled with joy how much fun you're getting out the Pro SS.
I think the e ride pro manufactures here in America I think. I just bought mine from placentia but I’m not too sure. I’m excited for it to come in though!
You can bring a few zip ties with you on your next ride to secure cables to chase down some of the rattles/noises.
