Didn't you guess the things on the bingo board
Hi Mr 6am
Excited about Battlefront!
what info got u thinking hi fi rush was ever coming to switch it,s been said that it,s going to ps5 sony
I think that was a partner showcase.
I went into the direct expecting a couple “Oh cool!”s and mostly “eh”s but instead i got almost entirely “yeah alright”s which I’m pleased with
Ive been holding out for further classic HD releases of zelda games. If for no other reason than another excuse to play Twilight Princess, but not seeming like it's gonna happen.
I appreciate your scoring-by-exclamation approach
@ataridc it was a partner showcase, not a normal direct
love ur noises
oh yeah good point lmao @@codysvlogdays
I love the sarcastic video thumbnail lol😂
Yeah i was like it was mid at best 😂
@@Snakejaguar.not even that
Same 😂
I was bored, clickbaited me 😢
I was most excited for Battlefront classic lmao
Truly one of the directs of all time
Fact.
Stop the cap.
I mean I wasn't blown away but somehow this guy is still too negative. There was def some cool stuff. Battlefront looking dated is perfectly fine. Its an ancient game. But both of those games were super fun.
@@ataridc🫥🫥🫥
correct. One of the Shlttest
He didn't even mention Fantasy Life 2! I am SO excited for it! My fiancé and I played this game together on our 3DSs so many years ago and to this day it has been my favorite couple game! I loved choosing different careers to make stronger armor and clothes for myself and him while he mostly focused on increasing his combat, etc and we just balanced each other out. I hope this game is just as fun and gives us more great memories ❤
I'm happy because last Fantasy Life game was supposedly a mobile game that must've been Japan only.
@@Mysticgamer it was available for everyone but shut down a couple months ago. I played it, was fun
When FLi was first announced, Wood waved it off as an Animal Crossing replica. Lost a decent amount of respect honestly. So everything thats come since then he has ignored about it. He just doesnt know. So I'm kind of waiting for him to finally try the game out and realize how hard hes been sleeping on it.
Idk though, I'm scared that it will end up being something like an AC replica. My hopes are dangerously high. We've waited for so long man.
I was thinking the same thing. For me the largest news of the Direct announcement was Fantasy Life 2. 🤷🏼♀️
This game probably will be the last game I'll buy on Switch. This console's getting old..
I recently retired and decided to try gaming...mind you, I was brought up with Pong, PacMac and the like, so EVERYTHING on the Switch seems amazing to me. I bought my first Switch last month. I'll buy the new Switch when released but until then, I'm happy with all the choices there are game wise.
That’s awesome!!! Gaming truly has no age range. I’m not sure what genres you’re into but I suggest the Pikmin series. It’s friendly for any age, but challenging just enough and totally super cute :)
There's tons to enjoy. Glad to here you're enjoying the switch!
That sounds like my kind of plan retire and enjoy gaming🎉
What a wholesome feel good comment. It’s refreshing to see in the community 🎉
That's awesome. I only wish I could retire and have more free time for gaming and other stuff. I also grew up on Pong, but then got into the NES and SNES, and on from there. I also feel like most games on the Switch look amazing, I'm just happy to have HD resolution because most of my childhood gaming was like 240P, so even 720P on the Switch screen looks great.
My man got ABSOLUTELY NOTHING correct on his bingo sheet from his stream this morning💀💀💀
I didn’t watch it but that sounds funny 😂
My personal favorite announcement was Fantacy Life 2
This was the only one I cared about lol
I literally thought Level 5 quietly killed it like yk4 in the west
i loved the announcement of mother 3 coming to switch online. AS A JAPAN EXCLUSIVE ONLY
I think It was announced like 2 years ago, but never given a release date.
Battlefront was not expected at all. Awesome to see these games revived on console, and portable outside of steam deck. Also, this will be the only time the DLC has been released outside of Xbox.
I know, this was the most exciting thing for me
IKR SW Battlefront dropping was HUGE
U really will take anything nintendo gives
@@Alex-xt2gn nah, just a huge SW fan
@@Alex-xt2gn I have thousands of hours on the original battlefront II. I just really love that game. One of my all time favorites.
Battlefront, Epic Mickey, Super Monkey Ball, Endless Ocean, was a good time for me
Same for me,just add in world of goo
Right? Not ground breaking but definitely not in the pits.
New SMT V content and it going multiplatform was the biggest highlight for me.
It was the Snufkin Game and Penny's big breakaway for me though Epic Mickey is absolutely peak
yes but nobody was blown away by any of that...
Wood: Switch isn't able to keep up at this point.
Nintendo: BET
I know most people probably hated this Direct but man, I’m so happy to finally get Endless Ocean 3. Those two Wii games were my childhood and I’ve been waiting over 10 years for a third entry, I can’t believe it’s finally happening!
Endless Ocean is dream come through announcement.^_^
Agree
They always hate it when its a partner showcase bcs we won't get nintendo games lol
if you like the ocean so much go outside then
@@dankmaymer6807u mad bro ?
You forgot about Fantasy Life I. I am so excited for that game to come out.
Yah, i used to watch Woods video's instead of the direct but i learned it needs to be something i watch after i watch the direct because he always leaves out my favorite games. He did that with Ruin factory 4 remasterd and rune factory 5 as well
Is a great game for girls
He didn't forget. He's just been specifically ignoring it 😐
Over in Japan they got Mother 3 on Nintendo Switch Online 😂
I got a few wins personally. Mickey, Battlefront, and the new Endless Ocean got me excited and Unicorn Battlelord is already a day one for me.
Literally exactly the same highlights for me! Wanna add me on switch and squad up when battlefront drops?
They are not going to run well….
@@JustJory That’s classic JustJory for you all. He doesn’t care about anything, but yet he feels the need to share his apathy with others as if THEY care…
Yes sir! The way I see it, it’s just another excuse for the GG to play Endless Ocean eventually!
Nice trolling tactic there bud 😂😂😂
Smtv has a 80+ hour full new storyline you can choose at the start or choose the original game. With alot of changes and multiplatform, and lots of QoL, and 40+ new demons, its pretty worth for new people and even people who played the first.
80+ on top of the already 80 hours? Cuz that would be crazy
@@pasturple5662 yes, the new storyline route by itself is 80-100 hours. But if you play the original story, that too can be 100+ hours. There is a lot of content in SMT5 Vengeance.
Best beat em ups direct video ever
Nothing special... mostly mediocre games
What makes you think that
SMTV Vengeance is gonna be like Persona 5 Royal: A Remaster/Expanded version of the original with new story beats, characters and demons etc.
And coming to all platforms too! Gonna buy it again on PC
Yea, really excited to play it and the new content on PC.
Atlus is on fire, but I honestly want an SMT VI or Persona 6 announcement so bad...
source?
Yes but boring
@@captawesome42 the trailer
SMT Vengeance IS basically the Royale/Golden of SMT V. It apparently adds an entire extra chapter.
So it's Reload if it actually came with The Answer?
@@jamilzayas5808 I'm very new to Persona so I'm honestly not entirely sure. I only played Persona 5 Royal a couple months ago and now I'm playing through Persona 3 Reload 😅
Smt v V was easily the hype i wanted
And its gonna be on ps5 so im pretty hyped since i got it on switch but framerate really bothered me
Same I can't wait
@@theffxfan1061yep, it’ll be a PS5 pickup for me too.
Still waiting for SMT v to get put on pc 😭
@@icaughtalopunny it will be as its rerelease is all consoles and pc
Grounded reminded me of the Movie 🍿 "Honey I shrunk the kids from back in the 90s" the the silinkskis
I'm looking forward to Unicorn Overlord, it's a throw back to some of my favourite tactics games.
My most anticipated game is Pepper Grinder. Downloaded the demo immediately and love it. I have been waiting for it to release since 2017 when Dunkey did his video “The Good Year”. Feels great with the grinding mechanic and there’s a nice momentum and inertia that makes controlling feel buttery smooth and accurate. Tons of gems and jewels to pickup and loads of hidden areas. A game platformer fans should definitely check out for a fresh experience.
I noticed y''all been wanting the Switch 2 since 2018 when I first got my Switch lol. It may actually be the end of the "life cycle" but it seems people are still buying games on this thing, it makes sense they are still putting out games. (BTW I always love your enthusiasm for the lesser known games on eshop etc) But I'm looking forward to the Switch 2 coming out so I can see all these thumbnails about Switch 3 rumors!
well about 3 years in if I recall an exec called Switch a 10 year console but rumors of next gen persisted
As someone who absolutely loves the Endless Ocean series I was super excited to see a new game. I am also super interested in Unicorn Overlord and the Star Wars Battlefront pack. Honestly, for me this was much better than I expected.
Endless Ocean 2 has always been in my personal top 10 games I've played. Idk why but I have a soft spot for it
Endless ocean stands out visually for a Switch game.
Wood, you are the clickbait KING!!!
6:22 You can see 4 more rectangular structures that appear simultaneously as the “Available Today“, so they are teasing 4 more games.
i really liked that direct tbh, but the thing that immediately caught my eye was the new direct intro, looks really good and like they're definitely entering a new era
I mostly agree with your conclusion. This direct was fine, particularly for being a partner showcase, and for being this late in the Switch lifespan.
Though for purely nostalgia reasons, I am extremely excited about the Fantasy Life sequel. I have simple needs.
Usually I watch and appreciate these videos because I can get your take on the direct. This time I appreciate it because I just can't be bothered to watch this entire direct. So thank you.
i saw the title and was very confused until the thumbnail loaded lmao
3:44 it’s a remake not a remaster lol. This makes it better cause they building it from the ground up
OG Battlefront remasters coming to modern consoles is actually a pretty big deal. Fans have been wanting that for years, especially since EA refuses to make Battlefront 3.
I remember playing Disney's Epic Mickey on the Wii as a kid, thinking that the game was so cool, but being so bad and sucking. I'm excited to actually try to experience the game and beat it now that I have a few braincells.
When they revealed mother 3 in Japan for NSO it hurt my soul.
I actually loved this direct, I’ve been wanting a remake/remaster of Epic Mickey for a long time so glad it’s finally coming
Heh, zero comments on Moomins shows how far Europe and USA/Australia is. 😅😂
Just the ability to play 2 of the greatest Star Wars games ever online with my brothers, mirroring how we used to do split screen back in 2004 is enough to make me happy. Not to mention they added content in a 20+ year old game?? I don't think I've ever heard of a game doing that before. I'm definitely going to coordinate with my brothers to make sure we all get it on the same console if it doesn't support crossplay.
It was a pretty good partner showcase actually. Pretty solid when you don't live in fantasy land.
It was boring
@@ozziey52oh sorry Master I didn't know we weren't allowed to have our own opinions
@@Plsrateeight"it was boring" is an opinion
@@ikheetdaanlmao
@ikheetdaan What dont you understand? Its nintendo so we have to like it or we are just being contrarian and biased, obviously
Before the new console comes out, I'm going to binge your channel as one last hoorah and reminisce the switch's life. This was such a great console to get to live through, and your videos will forever encapsulate the joy it brought!
I would argue that this is one of the better partner showcases that they have had.
It showcased a diverse lineup of styles and genres, and touched on games that appeal to several fandoms/communities/types of gamers.
Partner Showcases are unlikely to ever be particularly memorable or great at generating hype due to the lack of first party software, but there were a couple of announcements that got me a excited. When compared to a regular direct this one might not hold up at all, but within the context of "partner showcase" this was an easy A tier for me.
It was the best one ever, I don't remember one that wasn't trash
Wood: next year we’re going to start the next switch!
Nintendo: yeaaaaah, about that…
Been subbed since 100k subs, crazy to see your growth! Congrats on 1.77millon subs!
Not enough people are talking about Penny's Big Breakaway! It shadow dropped today, but I ended up checking and it also released on Steam LOL Probably the best game from this direct
I saw DF video which says it runs smooth and feels polished. So definitely a must
I watched a review and it looks SO good. It's on my wishlist
I'm still disappointed that we didn't get Wind Waker & Twilight Princess HD Ported to the Switch. I am excited for Blast Corps!
Blast Corps was awesome on the early days of the 64, good times
They are saving that for later In this year since switch 2 isn't coming until next year
Its been a dream of mine ever since i got a switch to see the classic battlefronts on it, so im very happy to finally see it happen
Wow!
Nintendo Switch Has Games!
I can’t believe we’re already in the final year of the switch
Endless Ocean sequel is something we never ever believe to get but here we are. Sooo good.
i’m so excited we finally get endless ocean 3 after almost 15 years
This is the third game
Can’t believe he brushed over Battlefront as “another Star Wars game on switch” like the first 2 battlefront games aren’t legendary
The Rare announcements for NSO are a significantly big deal. Especially Blast Corps and the SNES Battletoads. They deserve some proper hype.
Hyped for endless ocean 3. Never thought we'd get another one.
Truly a Morbillion / 10 Direct.
Why they even bothered to make a direct for these games, waste resources, I dont know.
i thought bro as getting held against his will in the thumbnail😭🙏
Honestly i was expecting we get to know a release date on a thousand year door, but turns out we didn’t get that yet
maybe the real hollow knight silk song was the friends we made along the way...
I am still shocked that they not only announced Switch 2 but also SWITCH 3! 😮🤯
Don't spread misinformation. It is actually a crime.
@@Fayte_Liengaurd no this isnt misinformation, its totally true, did you not watch the direct?
@@Fayte_Liengaurddawg rewatch the direct and if you miss it, watch it again it really does show the switch 2 & 3, best direct ever
This feels like when they announced release dates for SMT5 and Nocturne Remaster. The entire internet was like "That direct was pretty mid." Meanwhile I was dying from overhype. 😂
I'm really excited for kingdom come deliverance to be on the switch. Alot of people don't talk about it but if you love open world games it's an amazing game that is honestly underrated. Despite that, this was definitely one of the directs of all time.
Same
That Snufkin game though!
That one hurt
6:13
Blast Corps was one of the best games on the N64.
Play it now.
That little krabby game seemed cool haha. Definitely on my list.
We’re getting the best Battletoads game that was never on the Wii or Wii U VC. Would’ve love DK64 or Banjo Tooie
Oh I see the switch kiosk covered with blankets in the background
If Geno (from Mario RPG) had become the protagonist of an action-oriented beat 'em up game, then he could surpass Snufkin.
Fantasy Life got me exited! Loved the 3DS one so much I mastered all the life’s and highly recommend it as a fun adventure casual game. This new looks like they add more of an animal crossing element.
Epic Mickey and Monkey Ball sweep 😅
Very targeted to Nintendo younger audience
will purchase these 2 this year and goope if i have extra money
Endless Ocean made me sad hearing you talking about it.... because before you said it wasn't releasing anywhere else. I looked for it on steam because it sounds RIGHT up my alley, but was immediately sad when I saw it wasn't. Then heard you say that it's only on switch and I'm like "Yeah.... I'm not playing an entirely visual experience.... on the switch...."
if this helps in any way the first game in the series was more of a visual experience with a cute little story, however the second game was story packed with one of the most well written stories i’ve ever experienced in a game apart from some goofy outdated dialogue. I highly recommend you try the second game even if you play it on dolphin. There is an HD graphics mod that’s makes it look less of a wii game. I do agree tho and hope that it gets graphically enhanced for the switch 2
This Direct certainly directed me towards disappointment
I wasn't expecting anything and i got Killer Instinct SNES and a new Monkey Ball. I am happy.
This was way better than I thought it would be - I really wasn't expecting anything at all. Mostly I'm just happy that Fantasy Life i finally has a release date!
In terms of visuals, the Endless Ocean game looks good enough to me. I'll probably give it a try.
And this is why ppl say your shot is clickbait
i think nintendo is kind of focused on its movies right now and its theme park at the moment.
I'm always really happy when someone includes the Malie City music in their videos. (06:40)
Oh, where do we even begin with the latest Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase? It's like opening a treasure chest, only to find it filled with... well, mostly packing peanuts. But hey, amidst those peanuts, there might just be a couple of gleaming gems, or at the very least, a quirky keychain that sort of makes you smile.
First off, let's talk about the absolute roller coaster that was the announcement of "Grounded." A game that shrinks you down to the size of an ant and lets you embark on an "enormous" adventure in your backyard. It's kind of like that movie with the kids and the shrink ray, except now, there's crafting. Because, of course, what's an adventure these days without a bit of crafting? You can build your base, forge alliances with spiders, and probably spend hours trying to fashion a hat out of a leaf. It's set to launch on April 16th, and I'm already bracing myself for the inevitable memes about fighting off gargantuan squirrels.
Then there was the sequel to "Ender Lilies," dubbed "Ender Magnolia Bloom in the Mist." It promises a tale of destruction and renewal, which, let's face it, could also describe my attempts at baking. The game features homunculi, which are not, contrary to my initial belief, a type of pasta, but rather artificial life forms meant to bring about a brighter future. Instead, they bring about a hefty dose of angst and adventure, which is just as good, I guess.
And who could forget "A Ranger"? A game that, at its core, seems to be about sliding puzzles around. It's like someone took one of those annoying sliding puzzles from your childhood, made it infinitely larger, and then said, "Yes, this will be a delightful game mechanic." But, in a surprising twist, it actually looks... fun? Maybe it's the charming graphics or the promise of a "curious journey of self-discovery," but I'm intrigued. Or perhaps I've just developed Stockholm syndrome for sliding puzzles.
"Unicorn Overlord" caught my attention simply because of its name. I mean, who wouldn't want to follow the journey of Elaine, a young prince, with a name that promises mythical creatures and potentially over-the-top battles? But, alas, it appears to be a strategy game, which means my unicorns will have to be strategically deployed. A bit less magical, but I'll take it.
The return of "Monster Hunter Stories" in full HD is like greeting an old friend who's just had a really fancy makeover. You're not sure where they got the money for it, but they're glowing. Riding and fighting alongside monsters in turn-based combat is back, and this time, you can even peruse artwork and jam out to tunes in a newly added museum. It's like they know the way to my heart is through art and music, not just endless monster battles.
Epic Mickey is making a comeback, which is both unexpected and mildly concerning. The game where you wield a magic paintbrush to either create or destroy the world around you is being remastered. I'm just hoping they've managed to keep the charm of the original while improving... well, pretty much everything else.
The announcement of a new "Endless Ocean" game was the closest I came to feeling genuine excitement. The idea of exploring uncharted waters with up to 29 other players is genuinely appealing. It's like going on a scuba diving trip, but without the risk of getting water in your ears or encountering an actual shark.
In between these announcements were a flurry of titles that made me ponder existential questions like, "What am I doing with my life?" and "Do I really need another game where I build things out of blocks?" The answer to both is probably "no," but that won't stop me.
In summary, this Nintendo Direct was a lot like attending a distant relative's birthday party. You go in with moderate expectations, find yourself mildly entertained by the quirky family stories, and leave with a goody bag filled with things you didn't really want but will probably consume anyway. It was, in a word, okay. But okay in the way that you find an extra fry at the bottom of your takeout bag. Not thrilling, but a pleasant surprise nonetheless.
So, as we close the book on another Nintendo Direct, let's all take a moment to reflect on the fact that, despite everything, we'll probably end up buying at least one of these games. Because, at the end of the day, isn't that what it's all about? Finding that one quirky keychain in a sea of packing peanuts that makes the whole ordeal kinda, sorta worth it?
4:18 tell me you never played the good Battlefront games without telling me you haven't played them 🤣🤣 These are my absolute favorite games ever! I'm so happy it's releasing on Switch! Best Switch year 100/10
I watched it live and the game with the monkey in the ball was def the peak of the whole direct
This mic Bob custom-made for you is fire 🔥
this direct was very big on multiplayer, I feel like I heard the words "Play with up to 30 players" alot of times
The Battlefront collection was an awesome announcement, I literally play the og games to this day, and to have BOTH with new stuff, thats freaking amazing!!!! I can't wait.
Well, your title _was_ correct for that 25 minute dimensional warp-space in time. Or, 2 day and night cycles in Tears of the Kingdom. Or half of Majoras Mask's 3 day cycle at that point in the time continuum.
I’m stoked for Battlefront 1 and 2 on switch. The reboots were nowhere near as good, and missed so much the OG’s had. These were truly amazing games!
I love RC Pro Am and Blastcorp
I'm 24 and all my friends freaked out over Battlefront Collection. 1 friend has been thinking about the Switch as a party game system but was holding out until they announced Battlefront Collection. Now, he's getting it because he knows he'll be playing it by himself now. For people of my generation, Battlefront Collection is the coolest. Have I already bought it on 3 platforms (PS2, PSP, and Steam)? Yes. Am I happily going to buy it again? Absolutely
For me, the announcements I’m excited about are penny’s big breakaway, world of goo 2, and epic mickey
I was there! Love the content Wood you’re awesome
The good thing of having a slow year is that you can give time to the back log 😅, I have so many games I haven’t had the chance to play or complete
Here i am, waiting for Metroid Prime 4, the reason i bought the switch for...
Blast Corps is an incredibly fun game. Epic. You have to try it, stream it even. It starts slow but gets better and better and more and more challenging.
Endless Ocean reminds me of that prehistoric game for the original PlayStation. Due to the deep water environment it would cause a bit of panic to set in.
Not gonna lie, i was definitely shocked at the thumbnail. But I’m glad I clicked in 😂
Battlefront was nuts, was not expecting to get classics like that back, getting ported to pretty much everything else as well, my only concern is how are they gonna screw it up
The tile based puzzle game and another crabs treasure actually hyped me up a bit. Platformers are what i grew up on.
The addition of Killer Instinct to NSO is honestly the best for me because I have my original cartridge and now I don't have to struggle with snes and it's broken power port, I mean it works but it's touchy. Man I haven't played epic mickey in a hot minute.
