I opted for the Garmin Z80 (I think) when I got my laser, purely cause it has GPS with a view of the complete hole you play built in as well. It was silly expensive but was 100 off at a golf fair. 5 years later I still wouldn't change it for anything else. Since I spend a fair bit of time in the rough or behind trees with no view of the green...the gps comes in handy often :-D
Caddy talk cube looks interesting as it has triangulation for if you have to stick to cart tracks, it's a brilliant function especially when it's wet and muddy, instead of having to take a selection of clubs out and then have to lay them down in the crap once you have the distance!!
lol I got a £28 offer on a Halloween Laser Rangefinder for Golf & Hunting!! luv using it, very plastic and light but actually does do quite a good job against my expensive GPS watch, I just use it as a gimmick to see its accuracy but it has a slope guide so handy
Great video - like the transparency. I have one (not a Mileseey), but a really cheap one because on my course there are only about 3 flags you can't see the base of, so for most approaches the GPS yardage plus a view of the flag relative to centre is enough at my handicap level. But on a strange course it was out of the case ore often! So worth getting one if you don't have one.
If you play the same regular courses, you should not need a "range finder". Most par 5's since I can't reach the green in 2, I hit like a 6 or 7 iron on my second shot looking to leave myself around 100 yards, which is a "full" swing P wedge. Always take a full swing. You'll hit the ball straighter and always know your distance you can hit. And I can't tell you how many "long drive" contests I won hitting just 250 yards. Being the only one in the fairway. Slowed down my swing, and now hit the ball straighter. Who knew? lol.
Just bought one using your code, went for the black and red one, saved me £63, cheers bud! Just had a look and you're only an hour or so from me so I'll book a lesson at some point as well, so I get a lesson and a range finder for the same price as what the range finder would have cost me 😁
Hey Simon. I’m a new golfer using my mothers old golfset, and I want to get something for myself. I’d love to get Ping G-something (probably series) and cleveland wedges (my mothers driver is good for me), but they rarely sell in my contry. And I have a small budget, because I don’t want to focus on gear, just the basics. There’s currently an amazing deal on a set with Taylormade Burner 1.0 irons, cleveland wedges and some other stuff. There’s also a great deal on a set with Wilson Di5 irons, and other stuff. Do you think one of the two would be good set for a beginner golfer, or should I wait and spend a little more? Also, absolutely love the content!

Just broke 90 Cheers mate.
How about setting up a bag for the 60+ Brigade ? 90mph driver club head speed. What’s possible?

Thanks Simon. Considering buying a laser rangefinder at present, not sure which one to go for, so this vid helps!

I think it was your first Milessey review that brought me the channel!
Really informative and still entertaining 😎
love my Milessey you sorted me last year, defo help me on the course 👍
Nice swing.
Would you still recommend their cheapest one?
As I said in the video their cheapest option is a great starting point. No doubt about it mate!
A rangefinder makes no difference to how I play, its always bad D:
This channel used to be about playing golf, not just flogging gear and comparing old clubs.
I am concerned why your first shot off grass of 2024 has only just happened?!
Jfc this guy is so pedantic
